@mssmith2514 welcome!
I lived in Roseville for 6 years. Moved up from Los Angeles. It was nice at first but once more houses were built it went downhill.
It used to be eeriely quiet when we first moved to West Park. Neighbors were quiet and respectful. Six years later, we hear nothing but loud exhausts from douche bag neighbors every single day. Teens riding around thinking that they’re G’s just looking for trouble. People driving ridiculously in school zones during school hours. People there act like their poop don’t stink. That’s the vibe in Roseville.
Our block pretty much became a rental block. All of our original neighbors sold and left. The houses all became rentals and renters just plain don’t care. The noise was annoying. So we sold and left too. Such a shame because I honestly do miss living there.
I’d recommend Folsom for anyone thinking about living in the Sacramento area. The prices are high to it keeps the riff raff away. Roseville is still semi affordable so you’ll get the losers.
Just my $0.02.
@fartbart8551 thanks for your perspective! With growth there are definitely new pain points. Unfortunately we see it in all of the Suburbs. Folsom definitely has its pain points too & they are building more affordable housing too.
In terms of purchasing, it's important to buy in a community with varied housing/price points & limiting investor purchases to avoid it being a high rental area. During covid, a lot of houses got scooped up at low rates for rentals across the Sacramento region.
Where did u move to?
Having no nightlife for a place on the verge of having increased crime rate is definitely a PROS for me.
@ryangamboa9814 yep for us it's not an issue, as we live that family life lol. But youngsters might find it a bit quiet after 10pm 😊
Last time I checked, the city is still in California..ah, thanks but hell No!!
LOL @stixenterprise where do you live?
Lived here all my life... stay away, too much growth.
🤣
