So so glad that DC has decided to recommit to making the kind of shoes that made people love their company in the first place. There’s more than enough cheap, bland, all black vulcanized shoes out there on the market already.
These are more like Shanahan's version of Kalis' Kalynx. Which, as the name implies, it's a hybrid. An experiment. The sole of the clocker with whatever it has for upper. Same deal he had with his take on the Metric, which only difference being that they have the sole of the Legacy. I'm personally not down with those. A slim upper with a chunky sole is just not it. I would like to see more reissues, prototypes or actually well done experiments like Sabotage's Lynxes or Jean Michel Basquiat's Lynxes, which are also a hybrid. A Lynx with the sole of the Legacy.
@@dylives7667 That's not a slim upper, it's padded and fits the sole. We don't know how they skate yet so how could we say they are not a good hyprid compared to others. Give the man his flowers, it's his first shoe and it's a good approach in the right direction. The more of these soles are made the more likely it is we get more real retros because the tooling is the most important part. At least to me these look better than the original Clockers. Especially the colorways, the latest Clockers were a bit too wild.
I know they had to make vulcanised whatever for ages cos that's where the market went, but I'm so glad they've gone back to their roots. Like, that's a pair of DCs, it can't be anything else; you can tell from a mile away - when something's that instantly recognisable, a brand should be doubling down on it whenever they get the chance. DCs finally back to looking like DCs, love it.
The skate shoe industry truly fell off when they tried to be like Vans. eS and Circa eventually went out of business because of it. But by sheer miracle, eS came back to stay. Can't say the same about Circa, though. However, they're also coming back.
Been skating a sample pair of these for over a month and they still going, 10/10 for a bigger cup sole shoe, not as big as a Lynx OG. Strap is removable, shoe holds your foot in place perfect.

Like eS, DC has a DEEP archive that they can dive into to make a ton of people happy. The one downside is that there were a ton of great pro models and models designed by pro's that could block the amount of great reissues. Kinda like eS and the 197, 298 and Evant; we know what they're modeled after but all of us would love the true OG reissue.

My first question how much are they.....dc be gettin a lil wild with pricing
Imma guess between $100-130. But the thing is that the shoes have technology in them and are built to last so it’s normally worth the price
Compared to like $100+ nike dunks with no tech, so pretty reasonable pricing on the DCs I’d say atleast
