Greatest set ever! Too bad it's out of my price range.
Maybe afford low grade? Still good investment.
SGC use to use a 10-100 grading scale, they recently changed to a 1-10 scale. Those flips with a 10-100 and the smaller number below is the equivalent. So a SGC 84 is equivalent to a 7. The card number being 7 was just a coincidence. Also forgot to add, SGC has been around since 1998 and have a solid reputation, especially for vintage.
Right on. SGC is the best.
I'm an SGC fan, I think their slab looks better and their grades are more consistent.
86 Fleer centering is absolute trash. Seeing anything well centered is like finding a 4 leaf clover while getting struck by lightning while learning you just won the lottery.
The 1986 Fleer Basketball set is the most popular basketball card set of all time and is the first “yearly” set released by them, hence the “Premier” ribbon on each card. So many cards are of value besides the Jordan rookie card, mainly the ones that are in the Card Saver cases. Most cards from the ‘80s-‘90s don’t have much value, because of how mass produced they were, but the 1986 Fleer Basketball set is the exception. Def an amazing pickup for you all and glad you got to see one of the most collectible sports card sets out there!
I cracked an SGC 9 Kobe sent it to PSA... it came back a 10. SGC is a tougher grade IMO
Was going to buy the set minus the stickers and Jordan for $130 but couldn’t afford it then. Lucky I bought the stickers and Jordan rookie, it hurt but I had to have then.
Fantastic, will check for those cards. I'm putting together an 84 Star set so totally understand the centering problems.
Cool video Ally
Great video, with arguably the most iconic basketball set ever and in all of sports overall. Love the Jordan cards!🐐Just a side note, CSG (Certified Sports Guaranty) is a new player to the sports grading world. They are the sports equivalent of CGC and both fall under the CCG family of grading companies.
Awesome 86 set!! I like psa the best too, but wouldn't hesitate at all on bgs or sgc. All three are very trustworthy. Certain cards seem to look better in certain cases.
Ali, the 1986 Fleer basketball set is one of the most iconic basketball says ever with the most Hall of Fame rookie cards in one set ever
Do you sell some of your 1986 fleer basketball cards
There are some random basketball cards before the 1940s, but they are mostly collegiate cards and not pro. Topps did a basketball set in 1957-1958, but then didn't do another set until 1969. They did basketball sets consistently after that. Topps did also do a few basketball cards in the 1940s as part of a multi-sport set.
Fleer did a set in 1961-62 but then didn't do another set until the 1986 set.
Amazing set. Its a dream of almost all colectors to have these.
Lots of nice cards. Thanks for sharing.
Crossing over to PSA can be scary. Many people don't get the grade they want. I sold a 4x9 Jerry Rice Rookie. The genius buy decided he wanted to get it signed by Jerry at a signing. He sent it to PSA to be slabbed and graded and it got an 8.
SGC is legit. I prefer them over the other Big 2. Hands down.
What's there return time ?
That 86 set looks nice except for the centering, still worth grading though.
That Jordan is a $7000+ card by itself as a 6, crazy. Amazing pickup by bossman. Those cards with their colors were super hard to keep from chipping.
Yeah I think I have seen the Fleer Jordan on eBay before going for huge money. Same card as Ally's I believe.
Are any of these for sale.
Those stickers are 1 per pack....and a PSA 9 Jordan went for 20k...SGC is as legit as they come...especially for vintage..PSA for most...BGS 10's trump all. Gold label SGC 10's are sick. SGC & BGS are very stingy with 10's.
Ah the rare MJ #157 rookie card that is missing the 1
probably underwater if you bought this last year at the peak
So many HOF rookies in that set.
That Barkley SGC was part of the set.
I think you really like calling boss man boss man 😜 I hope he likes it too, I’d like to be called boss man 😊
Do you have any 1986 fleer basketball cards that are not graded for sale I'm looking for them please contact me
Great pick up!
Love that Jordan card
Ally, love you! Do you have socials that we can follow?
Hey Brittany! I have my own personal channel and an Instagram... that's it for socials, and they're linked in the description! Thank you for asking :D
@@TitanCards Thank you so much! I’m getting started in the hobby and I love seeing another girl represent! 💕
that 86 fleer Jordan rookie in a psa grade 6 would go for 3-5k.
I'll subscribe. you got my last name on the front of your shirt. 😁👍
Very cool
Dang that’s a niceee card!!!!!!!!!
Fun video,
Why would they send a checklist in to be graded??
Not sure about these checklists.. but back when I was kid collecting in the late 50’s early 60’s once you had a checklist card you didn’t need another filler.. and that’s what we thought of them.. and they put one in every 3-4 packs you opened, so you just tossed them or put them in the wheel spokes on your bike as flappers!! So maybe this happened with these also..
Typically it's people that like to put their cards on the grading registries
Checklists were frequently marked so they are more rare to find in decent space
so you can say you have a 1 of 1?
Psa grades to lose . Sgc is more strict on a 10 for centering so psa is easy to get a 10 . Rather sgc more correct on grades. But I can see why people like psa for value even if the grades are lose
Man I’d like a Jordan or Drexler, but I know those will be pushing $1k lol
You forgot to add a zero

@@TitanCards Really cool video. I for one do not care, if you say something is old or not, it's all perspective. 😎
