Father Waltz isn't alone in how he feels about the dependant man he talked about. As a former parole officer, I dealt with the exact same thing, many times. What kept me going was the fact that eventually most people do change. I had a parolee that worked for another former parolee; and when we met, he owned a construction company, was valued at approximately $3 million, was married & had 3 daughters. He was having the time of his life. Recovery is possible. It's hoped Father understands that the illegal drugs cause brain damage as well as other physical difficulties. Pax
How blessed are we all to have such a man as a priest . May our Lord continue to bless him and keep him in His will - may our Lady continue to pray for him . Blessings from Sydney Australia .
The first step to my conversion was that I realized that I didn’t “love” like other people who will give their life for others. I didn’t think I would even stand in front of my kids to save them from a bullet. I knew that I didn’t have a “peace” others had. The next few months I searched but had no idea it was for God. I partied and thought maybe the next day, I would have peace. Two years later, I heard these words in my head. “Jesus is coming and you are not going back with Him”. Instant conversion! I was instantly a changed person. I knew I had to become Holy. Had to go to confession. Started praying the rosary. Never missed Mass & before I had never ever gone. I never want to live with nothing in my heart ever again.
Great uplifting video. I am 5 years in recovery. I was speaking with an AA friend and mentioned that not sharing our message of recovery is like throwing Hods gift of recovery in Gods face. Sunday I was watching Fr Martin video and he made the point that not staying g in recovery and not sharing is like spitting in God's face and throwing the gift of recovery with it. I heard it again tonight, and you don't have many videos on alcoholism. I just had a relapse a month ago (after short of 5 years of recovery), and am back and stronger than ever. God is definitely speaking g to me through your videos. I have followed you from the start and want to thank you for your good work!
Try the surrender novena. I became alcoholic in the past 2 years, have not been able to quit but no booze tye last 14 days. Be careful not to make your entire life about AA, there is such a thing as a dry alcoholic. Surround yourself w people who dont drink and dont stay mored in the past.
I was glad to hear him on the Chosen. It’s reached and done more to spread Christianity than anyone could do!! And they talk things over with Protestants, Catholics and others to try and get it as right as possible. I absolutely love the show.
oh i love the way this young priest speaks about...just tell the truth. He is clearly living his life as Jesus would. Thank you for sharing his story....and thank you Father Joshua for your exceptional blessings that you share w us. יוי
What a great down to earth priest he's so funny but he's an amazing priest, of course priests know about parenting, such a kind caring funny priest i admire him for his real down to earth honesty, God bless him thank you so much for giving us the privilege to listen to him God bless you always 🙏🌹❤️☘️
Yep, he's So right on the money about the things he discussed. Always bringing us back to fixing our eyes on Jesus, being merciful, humble, trusting in God, and not petty and self-righteous etcetera. This is what we all need to hear from Priests. Thank you for sharing him with us.
Love Fr. Joshua Walsh. 70 x 70 is true. So true. I have a girlfriend, age = 70 yrs old plus. She “🎶 drives me craaaazy 🎶” with her total moral blind density. . Stand strong.
Amen, Father, Amen. I often recite the Willam Cowper poem 'Light Shining Out of Darkness' to myself when confused with the choices I face. I recite and remind myself to have patience and trust in the Lord. God moves in a mysterious way His wonders to perform; He plants His footsteps in the sea, And rides upon the storm. Deep in unfathomable mines Of never-failing skill He treasures up His bright designs, And works His sovereign will. Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take, The clouds ye so much dread Are big with mercy, and shall break In blessings on your head. Judge not the Lord by feeble sense, But trust Him for His grace; Behind a frowning providence He hides a smiling face. His purposes will ripen fast, Unfolding every hour; The bud may have a bitter taste, But sweet will be the flower. Blind unbelief is sure to err, And scan his work in vain; God is His own interpreter, And He will make it plain. William Cowper Blessed be God forever ✝️
What an amazing priest and father! Thank you, for sharing him with us! He is very relateable. I can espescially relate to Gods providence, in very weird ways. Once our dear Lord has hit you with his caring, weird, often humourus and wonderful ways, and you can only stand in wonder and laughter at what He just pulled off... I don't dare to even attempt to know what He has in store next. Just that i can trust Him and that He loves us.
I'm going to drink my coffee out of my DW tumbler this morning in honor of Father Waltz! What a wonderful series of interviews this has been. I hope you two chat again!
I do not believe Chosen is harmless, I dont watch the show , but I can give two examples, while making the sermon on the mound Matthew appears to "correct" Jesus, also in the scene where Jesus says "I have not come to call the righteous , but the sinners" The show left out the words "to repentance". I may be wrong, let me know if you know better.
This guy is awesome. I love his enthusiasm and positive thinking. As for those that ridicule The Chosen. I’m on my third reading of the Bible, and I’ve not seen anything heretical about. I think anyone that’s ridiculing that series is more than likely straining a gnat, and swallowing a camel.
Great video i used to be a alcoholic been sober 3 yrs an 5 months ,it was bad marriage, now i have chronic bronchitis a stage 2 emphysema its terrible i still smoke though but god helped me an i had to detoxt on oxygen at night an im dealing with other health issue s an i ask my self ?why me why so much suffering but i know theres a reason for it,i wished i would have had met that preist when my father died in 04 cause my brother is greedy an his wife an they wouldn't let me live there a the house,
In the book " Hostage to the Devil" , Father Malachi Martin describes how each excocism as the way a parent feels perhaps on the day of high school graduation for their children. A father may be proud as he watches his son graduate, knowing the love you have given is more than what can be reciprocated and a piece of your heart is with the child, a piece that you know you will never get back. That is how he explained excorcism, the priest gives something each time, a piece that he will never get back, it has always stayed in my mind, that descrption.
The Chosen is a Protestant heresy view of our Lord and the Blessed Mother. Padre Dave Nix has a good article and podcast about it. Please bring on Padre Dave Nix to discuss this further.
I thank GOD that people put sould and effort into the making of historical accurate stories about Jesus Christ. The only thing that I'm having a problem with the chosen thing is how they portray the disciples at times very feeble and week. I would say in the contrary to the disciples where men among men and not week at all Specially Mathew. I see him as a King of a men along with all the disciples who by their character must of portray that of Jesus. King of Kings
As a protestant product The Chosen depicts Mary as the protestant view is, that's what I don't like about the serie and most important for me, I can't see the face of Jesus in Johnathan Roumie, I don't even like how they dress Jesus (or undress), and the way they let him go around with that sort of '50 like school folder, completely a historical but I have to admit that many scenes are well done and very touching. I don't judge this priest because he likes this product, I guess he's right in some ways, but I can't get attached to it as many people are doing.
I watch the Cosen and appreciate the good it is doing. I do believe Satan is subtle and there are threads within that confuse the truth, but that is also the state of the Vatican right now. I won't leave the one true faith just because Satan has been influencing so in the hiearchy. Catholics just need to better know their faith.
The first story. That os the definition of what forgiveness is. It does NOT matter what evil has been done to you. Its not ours to avenge or take alone. And for that person talking about effeminacy, perhaps that is a reflection of the men in your life, not Jesus.
Father Waltz Is soo genuine YET, ANYTHING related to Our Holy Mother Mary and Her Immaculate Conception is NOT A LITTLE THING AND IT SHOULD NOT BE TOUCH AT ALL PERIOD
I can name a few more issues I have with the Chosen, other than about the immaculate conception. But I also see the point that Fr. waltz is saying here. I think at the end of the day, for those who do not know Jesus, the show is a good start for them to be introduced to Him and later on read the Bible themselves.
Sounds like there may be some generational spirits in his friend's family. I wonder if this priest can take his friend to an exorcist or Catholics liberator
Chosen was good in the first season, it helped too. But it changed over time, twisting scripture, things not happened on Bible added on. So, be careful people, if a priest tells you to watch something, you have a choice to watch it...
Correct and agreed,. I can name a few that I have issues with the show, but then again I respect Fr. waltz opinion about it, and I do see a lot of positives from the show despite the many inconsistencies.

I don’t think that God did say to you “Remember when you did that to me?” Mainly because God forgives and forgets. What’s the point in having a loving Heavenly Father who intentionally reminds us of the things we did wrong again and again. You might say it’s just once, but what’s to stop there being another and another time he uses our past against us? We can either believe the truth of Christ crucified for all our sins (meaning everyone’s and all of them) or we believe that there’s a God who will trot out a transgression or sin to remind us of whenever we do wrong in his eyes. Sorry, if The Chosen denies the Holy Spirit as the spouse of Mary, then that's terribly heretical.

Father is right.
The show "The Chosen" is "not" flat out heretical, starting with the title, because our Lord JesusChrist is the "I AM" in human flesh.
not a "chosen one" among us.
And regarding our Lady, they could have portrayed her a bit better since Saint Elizabeth her cousin called her "blessed amongst women"
the writers of the show should have meditated a bit more on that statement.
Because, for an angel to say that to a human being, It's a big thing!!!
A parent has same grief and anxieties if their children became involved in witchcraft and evil practices.
❤
I wasn't interested in an effeminate portrayal Christ , portrayal of our Blessed Virgin was equally as horrible to say the least.
Can ypu explain? Are you referring to the Chosen?
Effeminate?? What are you talking about
I have never even heard of that show.. Can u expand on how they are portraying Jesus + Mary? I wouldn’t want Jesus to be effeminate either 🙄
Whoa. I didn’t realize that because I don’t watch production of anything, it’s typically click bait for media. That stinks though because so many love that show.
Lol. This world is effeminate. Perhaps the bible portrays Jesus as "soft". Don't get it twisted. It's His role to be gentle.
Wow 🐸✝️👍
You can also choose to watch something more profound and not offensive to the blessed mother. Listen, I don’t watch the show or complain about it bc I’ve never watched it.
If you like it, do you, but other people are allowed not to like it or choose not to watch it bc it disrespects our mother, Mary and they shouldn’t be attacked for it either. It’s not about watching demonic mv’s, bc they don’t watch those either,,,just that Some people have a more developed conscience than others and you can’t force someone to go against their conscious just bc there’s more evil in the world.
