Raising Your Sons to be Men w/ Exorcist Fr. Chad Ripperger

- Опубликовано: 26 июн 2024
- Exorcist priest, Fr. Chad Ripperger, joins us to discuss the general entitlement belief and effeminacy pervasive in men today. We find boys moving to this state of adolescence and frankly never getting out of it. Not only is this state of existence contrary to right order, it stunts growth and keeps boys mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically trapped in immaturity. Fr. Ripperger addresses this issue by breaking down the reality of how men are raised and what can be done to actively raise our sons to be men. He then discusses how his father and his life growing up greatly influenced him in his life as an exorcist battling demons on a regular basis. This is a great conversation with practical steps we can all use.

I'm a simple woman. I see Fr. Chad Ripperger i click and hit the like button. Always xD
Amen! Thank you. It does help.
I've read some of Father's books...I'm seeing him alive here, for the first time❤
Same here. 😊
Same here!❤ he’s my hero!
If he says eat grass for instance.. i will just eat it 😂😂
It’s a good thing I was my father’s son as well as his daughter. I never did find a husband, so it’s good I learned a lot of “man things.” Mom and Grandma taught me the “lady things.” I can cook a delicious meal and change the oil in the car.
Father Ripperger in the chapter titled, "Primacy of Reality," in his "Shop Talk" book: "You suffer a lot less when you conform to reality, instead of wanting reality to conform to you, which makes you suffer much, much more."
Wisdom!!
Brilliant 🙌🏼
My father went to Fordham University, Class of ‘41. It was a real Catholic University back then. He served in ordinance in the North African Campaign. He could do anything, plumbing, wiring, changing the oil, putting new mufflers on a Volvo. He was brilliant and humble. He had a devotion to Saint Joseph. I was truly blessed.
As the saying goes, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, weak men create hard times, and hard times create strong men.
Amen!
I like dat.
The solution to that is that men shouldn’t make life too easy for their sons, or daughters, either. They should make good times for their kids, but don’t make it too obvious to them that everything is fine. Let them work for their allowances, college tuition, etc.
You hit the nail on the head
I just got an ad from a premium car oil maker that said “change the oil less, for less” then it jumped back to Fr.Chad saying, “change the oil.” Hahaha
Praise God
“We had an example in our father.” So true! This is who boys learn from on how to be real men.
I am a blessed women. My father and grandfathers work with their hands. My husband works with his hands and he taught our son to work with his hands. I only know strong Christian men.
You are blessed. I am and many are in the opposite. I don’t have a father and I am surrounded by man who are not really man.
PS:.... I still hope and pray that one day Fr. Ripperger with have a chat with Jordan Peterson. Fireworks! 🎇
I am so there for it!
J.Peterson and Fr.Ripperger would be so awesome.
May I state the obvious ? Fr Ripperger is an American legend, phenomenal, a Catholic hero, and a true man’s man!!!
When you retire - you can open a mechanic’s shop and fishing camp….
So skilled and talented and instructive….
It would be great if President Trump put you in his cabinet….
Thank you
I never had a chance to marry someone and raise a family, the time passed me by, but I'm sure glad my dad taught me as a kid on the farm. He is/was a millwright and we lived on a farm dirt poor and my whole entire life has been fixing old machinery and welding/fabricating needed items. I'm rebuilding an old combine right now, and I find it quite satisfying to take an old derelict machine and breathe new life into it and give it another useful job. I work draft horses farming and logging, and also find it very satisfying, something symbiotic about working with my hands, and working with horses, and building the relationship, and the fields and woods. It is a 7 day a week job year round, I have no hired help or vacation days off. My away time is Sunday afternoon I go to the TLM and I try to avoid planned hard labour except chores. I'm content while working.
Always appreciate Fr. Ripperger's thoughts.
Good fathering in the example of St. Joseph is necessary for the foundation of a good family life.
Some men did not have fathers who taught them these things. Not exactlt their fault but a lot of that has been lost.. needs to be rebuilt.
So many men didn't have a good father.
As a guy, I loved this conversation. Thank you, God bless.
Fr. Chad is amazing!
It's amazing how Fr. Rippenger makes all concepts that he is talking about easy to understand. Love listening to him, always learn something.
Wow 🤩 what an amazing episode, specifically for us Catholic men to watch👏🏾Thank You! 🙏🏾✝️
And women, too! We have fathers, likely brothers, a husband, then sons, if God blesses, grandsons, great grandsons, great great grandsons!
Thank you for this episode!! Good points that I’ll be bringing up with my 3 boys because this world needs more Godly men. 🙏🏽
As a plumbing apprentice who is working for/with his father, and an avid elk hunter, I can relate a lot to this episode. All the things you Gentleman say, I can see happening or has happened in my life.
So great! Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much for this!! Father Ripperger is never to be missed…a true fount of wisdom and knowledge! 🙏🏻❤️
Amen!
Thank you Father. Real men follow Jesus. I'm a grandmother encouraging my son and daughter in law and my toddler grandson on a daily basis. He's a Godly dad. 😊 There aren't many around.
Agency and Godly discipline are the keys to raising our hope for the future.
Thank you this is wonderful, We have 2 sons although one is special needs (autistic) , and 3 daughters. Would love to hear about these two subjects in future episodes. Raising special needs children and daughters ❤
PRAY, PRAY, PRAY FOR THE TRUE CATHOLIC CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST !!!
1954
Dad: “Do it now.”
Child: “Yes, Sir.”
2024
Dad: (Who?)
Mom: “Sweetie, would you like to ____?”
Child: “F-ck off.”
So true.
Thank you so much for presenting father chat, Ripperger he’s a priest that has quite a lot of knowledge, and we have need to learn, and stand strong in our faith⛪️🙏 amen
Wow this conversation is so on point. A man that can manually fix things and do a good job has become a rareity, mostly now the older generation. As a single woman I have learnt how to fix most things myself rather than be helpless. The throw away consumerism has a lot to answer for. The tool shed in the backyard has become a thing of the past.
As a Captain for Troops of St. George has been great to developing young men and specifically my young son. Hiking, outdoor skills, camping and praying the rosary. Such a blessing 🙏
Take notes that only the Catholic priests can deal with demons, thanks God for His Holy Catholic Church....
Excellent lessons in what used to be common sense . Thank you .
I was changing my car lights as they were talking about car maintenance. Good times.
Thank you Father Chad I have bought a couple of your books and I've given them away to friends. May Michael and his angels continue to protect you.
High hopes. My 11yr old grandson got the control arm changed out on the family car.😮. One of my son was 12 he changed the house from 60amp to 200amp. My Nurse anesthetist son (in clinicals) did diagnostics on the family car and replaced the #3 ignition coil . Runs great. Another grandson did the alternator in a mini Cooper. Very proud of these guys. Grandpa Hill of Grandpa Hill's True Stories. Interesting most mechanically capable son is the one most drawn to TLM?
My father built all churches plus Cathedral in my diocese (* except for 1 new church *)..as a little gurl I had to learn reading the plans ,, cleaning the tools etc ..fascinating....I think in my Parish ,, my youngest brother and I are the only 2 people who know every corner of the building and Father's house ....
Catholic Churches build back in the day (* mind you ,, almost all...very few newer church buildings((.*)...those are all build on Lay lines ...every lines....and the bells are healing bells...and the organs per Canon law should be pipe organs. Churches , Cathedrals are healing centers ...remember when everybody was at peace after Mass...in the days of Latin Mass was profound .....can you see why the evil messed up Holy Mother Church ?...Infiltration said JFK...instead of invasion....see my backup ....
The exorcists are angels 😇
Rare and such a blessing😊
GREAT conversation Gentlemen, even if i am not a Blue Collar man. I am so Thankful for the lessons my DAD and Grand Father taught me.
Thank you for sharing this. I enjoy listening to Father Ripperger.
Excellent program!! A message so sorely needed in today's times! THANK YOU!❤🙏
Thank you for covering this !
More should listen to this. ✝️💟
Sending Africa blessings 🙌 ❤
Thank you for this conversation, gentlemen. As a mother of boys, this sort of content is golden! 🕊️
I definitely enjoyed this episode; one of your better ones.
What a blessing, i was waiting for this interview. God bless you for having Father Ripperger! 🛐✝️💟
We are designed to sense pain.
Pain, in every form, is your soul saying “This is not Right”
Imagine the Pain of Jesus with billions of those He loves doing “that which is not Right.”
Growing up, my mother insisted that I make my bed every morning- Then, the Army also required it. I didn't come to the realization, until years later, the significance of that simple task.
Above all, in Fr. Ripperger is a godly spiritual father to millions of people. I am very thankful for his words, work, and example.
This was excellent! Thank you!
It's lovely to hear a dad that uses Media also has time to use their role as a man to teach his son. It doesn't help when a father will never be or change into that expected father to son role
This may be my favorite Father Ripperger podcast ever, and that is saying something. Kind of like listening to a spiritual episode of Car Talk.
We are so far from reality that we can't even see the truth. I pray for everyone including myself, that by the help of the holy spirit we may be able to grasp the concept of reality.
When Fr. Ripperger uses the statement "that's not how this works" he literally means an observation of the function of reality. When modernists and GenZ use the same statement, they mean with all obnoxiousness "i'm incompetent and don't care about doing whatever it is right".
My 8 and 6 year old sons raise meat rabbits for the family. Still working on diligence in terms of doing the chores in a reasonable time, but they are given a great sense of accomplishment when they deliver livestock for slaughter and can enjoy the fruits at dinner.
PATTERNS
yes, as a geologist,( armchair type these days), its sll about patterns in locating sites, same for archeology,...and for me, teaching also has its patterns
Patterns have a sort reassurance toward life and living.
Unbelievable this stuff is healing my nervous as I hear it - and I’m a woman. I feel like doing all these things to feel productive and feee and happy!
It's not just some men who lack basic skills. I work in online shopping where we pack stuff in boxes, and we make the boxes ourselves. I'm surprised that men/women in equal measure do not know how to use scissors, they are awkward and the boxes they make are just "ugly"; another supply we use in boxing orders are sticky packing tapes - the boxes end up looking like they were packed by 4-year olds - just not thorough, smooth; unprofessional-looking...this is after attending training sessions and being taught in the actual workplace. No wonder robots are taking over. Very frustrating...but i use such situations to practice patience (sanctification).
Wow, I am surprised but I believe it is true. Kids are taught to be lazy and self pleasure. I guarantee to you, u give them the computer or phone. They will be a different person in a split second. But “labor” they are technically challenged. Sad to think, those electronics are controlling them.
Father - Elk hunting? Fishing? Diesel mechanic? You could have a show like “Dirty Jobs” or an Outdoorsman show with a Spiritual Exercises element…. Love listening to you.
Fr. R. "The best kind of job is when you get to buy a new tool."
Me to my wife: "Each job requires a new tool." haha
True story!
i love tools. computers as work make it hard to separate work and recreation. video games vs work are just a brain shift and not actually doing something. what ive found doing for fun ended up being working. woodworking, blacksmithing, electronics, etc... and those things helped me in my work (engineer). totally nuts how that works out.
I'm 55 and now I have to learn how to fix my a/c, oh well...
Here's a thought: you can only be a good man by first and also being good at being a man.
I am a single mother, does it make me a horrible Catholic because I have to take control of my household and not only do my job as a mother but also as a father? I would love to hear Father Chad’s take on being a single mother.
As a son of a single mother. Parents separated around age 11, right when a boy *really* needs his father.
You're never going to be a good father. You're just not made by God to be both a good mother and a good father figure.
In my opinion, the best you can do is if you can't find a solid external father figure for your sons like a mentor type.
Your best bet is to encourage them to build themselves up with your help and youtube. Theres alot of stuff on youtube now. Much if it is garbage, but if you can guide their interests towards being upright men of God. Things will go much better than yelling at them to go do "manly things."
Shut down negative male influences like rappers that talk about criminal stuff and sex for example. Let them know that those type of men are not worth following.
The best Father for your son will be God, the Father. The best brother is Jesus. Ask the Blessed Mother to help you raise your son, if she can raise Jesus. I am sure she can help us. Also, don’t forget St Joseph.
I am raised by a single Mom. I am a train wreck because my Mom doesn’t know much , now going through a divorce. But that is okay. The moment I recognize my Father, Mother, Brother, and my best friend-guardian is always with me to help. Things are a little better.
my Parish Priest was raised by a single mom from the age of 10 (his father passed away) and he always says the best thing his mom did was give him a spiritual family. He is also an only child.
My God and my all ----- Deus Meus et Omnia ✝️💟
" Reality doesn't care what you think (or feel)." That is so profound.I want a bumper sticker. Today's young people need to hear.
Yes. This section in his book is spot on.
Definitely! It's similar to Ben Shapiro's "Facts don't care about your feelings!' 👍🏼
Thank you👍👍👍🇮🇩
I would like father Ripperger to address issues of synthetic estrogen that's feminizing men. The two primary ones are high fructose corn syrup and soy milk.
And culture. How about turn off the electronics are go outside. That will fix the estrogen issue too.
Well, don't buy a Ford - Fix Or Repair Daily, never a sense of accomplishing anything!
The good thing about a disorderly shop, you get to just go buy more tools when you can't find them!
I can take car apart and fix houses but I don’t know how to make money and I wish I learned how to make money and had no manual skills, money and business was newer part of my family,if i had my choice I would trade my skills to business in split second!
Raising my sons to be men in a gynocentric matrix, in the age of Eve. I guess that’s akin to expecting men to cook a 5 star meal with spam ingredients from the dollar store.
No nonsense !
You CAN do so.
indeed😊.
Now how do you motivate young men to actually become fathers... They aren't motivated at all to get married... It's wild.
Lead by example. They don’t want to because they’ve all had terrible role models
Would you marry a man who didnt like Father Chad?
Three hints from a 66 year old who fixes everything…
Start a new major job, tell your wife about the *new tool* you need just for that job.🤫
Never buy a tool for yourself, but a tool you can pass down to your grandkids, ( AKA: buy quality and buy once)
Invite Jesus to join you. (He absolutely Loves that.)
24:42. I see no issue if a guy finds his identity in being well read. Nowadays, many don't even read a single books and are getting dumber. I disagree with that part.
Fr, your father was in the military, no?
Could you please write a book about what your father taught you? I am sure we too will have a lot to learn from him. Not to say we did not learn from our own father but it is always good to gather ideas.Thank you,Fr.Ripperger
@nacingnonato3488 Thanks for joining us. Here is the book he wrote just about that - sentradpress.com/product/shop-talk/
Jesus learned from Joseph the work of a teknon (general contractor, including carpentry). Hands on, skilled work, wide-ranging skills to build, maintain, and repair. Our Saviour was manly, talented, and knew all about the sweat of the brow, working with others, and using tools and materials to get things done.
How can I actually write to Fr Ripperger as I need some serious advise
This man is constantly making videos about subjects he knows nothing about. His advice on sex, marriage, and raising children just makes him look foolish. This is from someone who has been married a long time and raised children. Stick to subjects you know something about.
Nothing about? So well read doesn’t matter? Well studied? A human himself? Moral grounds? An observant scientist of human constructs?
How about counseling thousands of people and couples through his years.
What part of the advice do you feel he may not be accurate on?
I think many of us would take advice from him over a single or “partnershiped” or childless psychologist in a blue city 🤷♀️
No matter how many degrees the person, they/them had.
@@xbemos Married 50 years, raised 3 children and I can assure you being well red counts for nothing.
