For me this is a powerful tribute to the troops who served in Vietnam. I was with the Marine Corp in Vietnam from mid ‘67 to mid ‘68. Pilots often saved the day for us!!!

That's Ed Rasimus at 3:55, author of the books "When Thunder Rolled" and "Palace Cobra". Both are highly recommended reading for anyone who enjoyed this film. He died in 2013.
Karl Richter at 6:49 was KIA on his 198th mission in 1967. Heroes and patriots one and all.

Flying F-105’s over there was not a safe job....hats off to those brave men that flew them & to the ground crews that worked in hot miserable conditions to keep them in the air.

I admire all of these men, but shame on the politicians who sent them there.

The air force used to have the Grapes of Wrath theme? That's kinda cool.
