Wish you guy's would go back to making fun content like this again, I pretty much stopped watching this channel about the same time ya'll quit making these challenges.
These were defiantly inspiration for the cheap truck challenges we have done on my channel!
The fact he started the episode with a unbuttoned shirt, shades on his head, eating a burger and explaining 4wd in a square body s10... had my attention from there
I'm a MT subscriber and I have to be honest, I like watching better on RUclips.

Their video player is constantly buffering for me, I can watch stuff about 30 seconds at a time and it's infuriating.

i agree, but also understand why they went away from youtube. the subscription is worth every bit of 4.99. their video player could use some help and im still waiting for comments but it is what it is.

Their website is super glitchy, half the content isn't available due to licensing, and the casting constantly fails taking 5mins of messing about to get it to work. PITA
wow so-cal life thats a clean s10. Here in NY there is about 2 left and they are both sitting in someones field half in the ground. Because the bottom half doesnt exist
Same in Maryland, havent seen one with cab corners in forever and my CJ has dropped so much rust in the garage its probably 100 lbs lighter
Umm i would have thought you boys would know this...but even a good limited slip still wont act a locked diff when you put one wheel off the ground? Its always going to take the path of least resistance.

That S-10 just needs a SAS in front to be a good off roader. Maybe an old Jeep or Toyota axle. With a stock motor, that's plenty strong enough.
The Chevy S10 is a great truck, but the open diffs really hold it back.

Sawzall is cheaper, quicker, and "funner", lol. And a lower center of gravity is good too.

guessing that segment with the OBS ford was filmed before their value shot up
You have to press the brakes under power to activate the rear limited slip. Same as HMMWV's. It's a pretty well known system, even at the time.
So now we know do not take a Patriot offroad, only the grocery store, maybe climb over the curb at most

Brother my 91 s10 had no problem climbing hill or trails with factory everything besides a/t tires inly thing that was not stock but was the stock size

@@cameracamera1319 if you think the 4.3L drinks gas your crazy, I get 32mpg with mine. My 1990 5.8L 351w on the other hand drinks

Pretty neat finding asbestos pipe to drive all over!
Open differentials on 4wd doesn’t mean you have 2wd. This is a very common misconception because we only see one or two wheels spinning. An open differential will always send equal torque to both wheels. If one wheel looses traction and cannot put any torque to the ground, then the other we will not receive any torque either since the gearing won’t allow unequal torque, which is why one wheel stops spinning and the other free spins.

Was really hoping this was a new episode, but some fun highlights.
If they woulda had that strap tight before starting the tug of war woulda been better but the truck pulled the slack and its weight yanked the Jeep and it was over.....poor thinking if u ask me but nice overall vid.
the liberty had no chance when that heavy square body yanked, they should know from past fail videos that yanking just breaks things and doesnt do well.
that Liberty should of had a weight of 4,200 plus pounds if you ask me the only reason that square body won was because of the nitrous
Kind of disappointed with how often these guys weld diffs up, even just welding the rears would be a huge improvement in a lot of the cheap episodes.
Definitely a cheap way to lock even the rear, but it sucks for a daily driver which is what the premise is. How can a high school kid get into wheeling for a couple grand with his daily driver.

This Chevy WON to the Jeep in this vid.... but Jeeps first started in 1909 and Chevy started in 1911..... but to be fair GM did start Just 6 months before Nash did.

Off road was the correct term half of these are not trucks. I am very disappointed in you motor trend you are supposed to be educated in the subjects your reporting on.
