Question for something i do not understand. At 13:24 you show the drill bit setting a gap. WHen you pull out the drill bit what keeps that gap set? it seems these parts just slide around. Am i missing something?
I was just demonstrating where the drill bit goes. This gap gives the gas peddle a little dead spot when you fist step on it. To answer your question you set the gap once all the linkage is fully installed in the car. It will secure correctly when everything is connected.
I actually installed my linkage today. Did require a little fine tuning for sure. Movement for full power - I was wondering that myself. When I push on the vertical ball joint thing it moves a lot more than when pushing on the gas peddle. Not sure if it really makes much of a difference though. If your vertical and horizontal rods are adjusted in length to the factory specs in theory its working right. The big question mark is the gas peddle vertical shaft where the linkage connects - is it on the correct spline as that could mess things up too a bit.
yes that makes sense - slippage. make sure both sides of the clamp are over the splined section (not the smooth round part) - it will slip eventually@@mikemunden2904

Not sure my carburetors are opening up for full power. My throttle linkage doesn't seem to have enough movement. How much movement should there be.

Thank you. Gas pedal linkage bolt loose. Reset and full power now. 👌 Thank you.
