- Professional surfers Kolohe Andino, Kanoa Igarashi, Blair Conklin, Brad Domke, Griffin Colapinto, Kei Kobayashi, Craig Whetter, Hiroto Ohhara, Bill "Beaker" Bryan, Teddy Navarro, Yadin Nicol, Chris Waring and more charge heavy shorebreak waves at Hermosa Beach pier during big winter swell. With so much shorebreak madness going down, I decided to keep this one nice and RAW! Enjoy!

Totally got pounded like that the other day up here! Couldn't catch a cold, it was just bombing out the back like 75 yrds out, i caught one good wave in an hr 1/2. These sets were a little more freaky though! Pit city!

@@steevo9656 A huge river dumps out right next to it and the Long Beach break water traps in a ton of gross water and garbage because it can't properly flow out. Fun winter waves though lol

This was such a shitty day for me lmao..let me tell you a story. So last big swell, I caught the biggest wave of my life like halfway out the south jetty, so I wanted to do that again. So I showed up on Friday with my 7'11 thinking I'm gonna be cool and ride the cloudbreak again. But, as soon as I start paddling it's instant regret. All my muscles are super tired from work and I'm starting to think this is a bad idea. The water was just warping and moving so powerfully. When I was watching from the beach, big peaks weren't breaking that much so I felt confident I could get around sets, but by the time I got out there, the tide had dropped and now cloudbreakers were womping everywhere and I felt super sketched out and not confident like last time. I got paranoid that my old leash tie would break, because if I lost my board way out there, I'd be fucked. So fuck this, I drift around with my balls up in my stomach somewhere frantically avoiding sets and I realize I couldn't paddle straight back in or I would get womped by cloudbreakers and shorebreak, so I decide the safest thing to do would be to literally paddle all the way around the pier to the northside where it was mellow. So I'm like halfway between the south jetty and the pier, lined up with the crane, and I paddle all the way to the fucking northside and catch one of the AIDS-waves in. I think I'm gonna stop fucking with the cloudbreak.

@@bctesla On the day when I actually got a wave, there were dudes on guns catching waves that were literally past the end of the jetty. It was so incredible to see from the water. Every time they took off all the people in the water would yell and go apeshit.
