    Thank goodness that marshal was there. How would you ever have found your way out without him!

    Such a great video. I am looking to do the Heli lanes in the new year in a R44. It will be a few years more before getting into Battersea at night though!

      Thats great. Im Just about to sit my first 6 ATPL exams so hopefully planning for further hour building around June. I will definitely be interested in the books. I am looking at all the other videos now. They are really good to follow all the procedures through and actually get the real prospective of flying!

    Nice video - do you have to do anything differently when taking off at night from Battersea ?

    • @ABHelicopters
      @ABHelicopters  5 лет назад

      Not so much out of battersea ( although there are opening hour restrictions) but along the helicopter routes - there are certain areas that single engine helicopters cannot fly at night

    I can't tell what the bar above the compass is, chronometer?

    • @ABHelicopters
      @ABHelicopters  5 лет назад +1

      It is the compass correction card - to correct for the magnetic deviation error caused by placing the compass inside the cockpit with lots of electrical equipment - so - it will say, for example, for course 180, fly 178 degrees
