Flown from there many many times and every single time, there were complaints from people living in the apartments in`the distance. Who buys an apartment right next to a heliport and `then complains about the helicopter noise?
Ironic that the pilots of the three twin-engined helicopters make the safest departure, by climbing rearwards so as to be able to land back on the pad in the event of an engine failure, whereas the pilot of the single just goes for it!
Twin engine helicopters have a difference HV curve based on engines available a single engine doesn’t have the luxury of being able to make a powered decent should he have an engine failure it’s probably safer as he has floats to fly a more altitude over airspeed departure and ditch in the water should sometime happen rather that than break your back landing on the pad at high hover.
