Lucky Schmuck's Fish Cave you just gotta find the right audience.
Great vid nice to see people share what hasn't worked for them instead of just stuff that has
Thanks Conrad, I agree. I usually learn a lot from others mistakes not just their successes.
Man each and every video on point. Much love for you wearing my Hometown Indianapolis. And I understand trying something that didn't work out to well. But much love to the channel man. Keep making that history. Congratulations on 2k💪👍
Appreciate that Rob and I love that city, can't wait to go back one day. Thanks for the love man!

The intro had me rolling. Cool story. BTW, only a few praecox eggs in the spawning mop. They still prefer to spawn in the java fern. I’ll check again late this week. 😎👍

Found this channel about a week ago and look forward to every video. Keep up the good work!
Welcome Luke! Thanks for the words of encouragement, will do!

I just keep my Tilapia's as pets
I'm definitely getting a IBC tote for them
Man when I was a kid, after the movie flipper, I wanted a pet dolphin too! They really are beautiful creatures. Thx for the vid.
Yes! Flipper was awesome! I had a chance to swim with the dolphins in the Florida Keys, it was the highlight of my childhood haha
Good day sir, please how many days does it take them to grow Big
use black hose you wont get clogged hose from algae . because light penetrates the clear hose and grows algae
Great vid...love the creativity
Thanks Marcus, try to have some fun with it
Am I to late for the giveaway??
That was a crazy experiment that started it all. Great intro buddy, really enjoyed. Maybe next time you can do the Carlton.

Electricity bill is too much! I had 6 pond and my bills jump from 180 a month to 600+
This... the reason I just packed up my system - going into the winter.
Haha - love the rhyme...nice job
Thanks bro.
Been working on setting up a breeding colony and was wondering if you knew what size they start breeding? I just separated all my fish and I’ve got 4 females and a rather aggressive male in a 55 gallon tank. The male is not the biggest male in the group but he sure is the most aggressive.
yoooo brother your the man
your my soul brother man dude
Hahaha that intro is amazing!!!
Thanks =)
This one is money!!

Your tilapia sound like my endler livebearers--Back in June I got 5 endler, 2 males and 3 females. Two of the females were already pregnant but I thought they might lose them with the shock of getting to their new home. I put all of them into a 10 gallon quarantine tank I had set up and started getting serious about setting up their 37 gallon display tank for their permanent home. … in 4 days, the first one dropped a brood of around 15 fry. A week later the second one dropped about 20. 20 days later, #1 dropped again, followed closely by #2. And by the time I had their 37 g completely set up and cycled (this weekend), I had somewhere around 100 fry, had to buy a second 10 gallon to transfer boys to as fast as I sexed them, and do several water changes a week, especially now that I had to move the BIG sponge filters out of their set-ups into the 37g. I am currently moving boys 10 at a time so I don't end up with a huge ammonia spike >_< When I have their tank empty, I plan to set up a quarantine for something which eats endler fry, prob Rainbow fish >_>
sounds very similar! Glad you've been managing the population explosion and I think your plan to get some rainbow fish to complete "the circle of life" is a good one!
Are the tanks in your resource list? I don’t know the name to research
A long time ago I saw a video from another country where they were raising the juvenile tilapia to be only the size of a large shrimp and then they would harvest and eat them ...the scales were not developed yet and I guess the bones weren't that bad either so but I never saw anything again so maybe it failed... I'm trying it right now for about the fifth time and I'm just going to be concentrating on free quail food and they love the little fish so you can you can dry it, sell it as soil amendments to dehydrated soup ...my quail eggs are gigantic 😂😂😂😂you can make a lot of money off of this because all those ingredients are going to go through the roof in the next 20 years... Imagine a 2 to 3 months turn around on thousands and thousands rather than a 7-month turnaround on very few hundred...
cheers
How can I link you personal. I'm from JAMAICA and I plan to breed and grow it here
Love your intro
Love the intro. Congrats to the winners
Nice opening lmao
i would of bought all the fry
You should have kept those totes for your clown loach breeding operation... lol!
Don't they usually breed tilapia in ponds?
By the way, the glasses are definitely you!
no clown loach breeding for me, pretty sure its very difficult and not practical lol and yea most of them are bred in large pond operations, some are kept with chicken coops above in an aquaponics sort of system
Hey @WildFishTanks is there anyway I can get your business email ?
LOL #Squadup New sub LOVE the intro just dont get sued LOL 😎👌✌🙏💪
you aint lying lol, not monetized so should be fine I hope
LOL 💪✌👌😂#Squadup
Why wouldn't you keep the totes, and let the Tilapia bread, they will consume the fry, until the other s grow to a sale size. Then start breading again?
Not a bad idea Gerry. I was over it at that point think, learned a lot though. In the future I may try a aquaponics system with tilapia and use that idea.
First 30 seconds of this video.....BARS
I saw this post on reddit o.o
me too!! lol thanks for checking out the video
Above ground swimming pools are so trashy.
My noseyass neighbors would think I manufacture drugs or something
Hahah nice intro
Whats the Irish connection
New sub
Thanks and welcome. Believe it or not I'm of 50% European descent and a smidge Irish however I just consider myself a lucky guy so it fits
Go COLTS!!!
Luck is back baby!!! Looking forward to this year
Next time do the practical than talking
So many wrongs in the setup .
Your rap was so corny funny but corny I found you from Cory i like your vids
haha I can't argue with you there, had to pay tribute to one of my favorite childhood shows and be the fresh prince for a minute
😂😂😍
oh my god so much waffle! Totally misleading title.
I ran into all the same issues, but went about dealing with them completely differently. I have success as a result, but I also am doing this for personal consumption (though it easily could be a business)
Spoiler: You have to be willing to kill a lot of fry.
Spoiler #2: Tilapia won't breed in cool water and it's ideal to keep them small - you should have lowered the temperature in your breeder. Lowering the light and temporarily removing structures also helps. Running that extra 20 was just a waste of space/electricity for the male.
It appears you panicked and gave up after one loss of fingerlings. You didn't fail, by definition. You gave up. Why didn't you just remove fish until your biomass was at an acceptable level, it's as simple as removing some fish and throwing them in some ice water like you would have had to do with them eventually anyway. Some people keep a pet predator fish and use them as feed, though I feel that is cruel - my preferred method is the "tilapia abortion" via cold water. The eggs fail and they swallow them as if they had never been fertilized; they do this anyways.
All that being said, I went into it blind as well and it took six months+ of study and work to get to the success stage and it does come with its challenges, such as maintaining it alone while sick in isolation currently with products on back-order due to COVID. It's a great way to learn about aquaculture, DIY, etc. I didn't enjoy the trips to the hardware store...
But, yes, it is work running a fish farm... you appear better suited for hobbyculture and I also went in the way of designing a system that required less maintenance.
My Tilapia op inspired my buddy to get into a $2,000 coral hobbyculture project because he has a family and no time to maintain things of this nature. Trying to teach my family basic things is like pulling teeth, but they are that way in all things.
Not a failure; just abandoned. I abandoned my previous aquaponics setup with blue gills in it and have no regrets. It's a learning process and it's not for everyone.
But, I feel this sends a bad message because there were so many things wrong with your setup it wasn't even funny. I'd change the title of this video, it's not helping anyone do anything but quit before they start.
