This shop is pretty close to my place so I went to check them out earlier this year. At that time, it was prior to restocking so the selections were limited. But I could see that their prices are one of the best in Singapore considering the quality. When my new place is ready next year, I'm definitely getting my PRL from them.

Such beautiful creatures…I’m planning my first planted tank…kept fish decades ago…and trying to decide on a shrimp species. I’ve narrowed the color down to an entry level yellow but the orange are also calling me, lol. neocaridina, but have not picked a specific variety yet. I love how busy shrimp are! The tank will be based on a river or creek system from the Sonoran Desert in the USA. I’ve spent a couple of years researching the best setup and the right flora and fauna. All the animals will be nano size. I learned a lot from watching this.
Great vid as always! Also the owner mentioned something about breeders in Taiwan developing a new method to lower ph instead of using aquasoil, do you have more info on that? I'm really hoping we get a way to keep caridina without always having to change out the active soil.
Can I ask, what's the llifespan of the shrimps? I feel like trying my hands on rearing these, but i'm scared they will die off in like a week or 2 and i have to keep replenishing.

In singapore we dont have any natural springs so most of our water is filtered rainwater from reservoirs or desalinated water as well as recycled water from drains. Therefore, the tds is lower since the tap water has a much lower tds. Meanwhile, european tap water typically comes from a nearby river or mountain spring where there are a lots of natural minerals and thus the tds is higher.
Hi, it the microorganism bag. Used as a food source for the bacteria in the tank and the shrimp can also get food from them thru the growth of bio flim :)
@@prolifant nothing at all. Since then i learned a lot about biology of the tank. They do slowly release ammonia as i learned from that video. Ammonia is good food source for good bacteria (biofilm) that produce nitrate. Nitrate is food for green walls and plants. It works good to cycle a new tank. Good to grow green walls and extra biofilm food for shrimp. Good holiday food. Need to be used with caution. Too much ammonia will kill your shrimp. Not all bags are the same. Only use bags from trusted breeders. Don’t use in small tanks. That’s some key points
