Thank you so much Mr. Marty! I just discover your channel and I'm a fan! You are doing an amazing work, as teacher and as artist! Really appreciate your voice as well as to see you too on this video!
I just want to say thank you, Marty... I've got many knowledge about photoshop through your channel.. I started learning from you since 2014... I've recommended your channel to my friends who asks about my work.... Thank you with all the Respect...
Marty, great tutorial, however, when I go to the Filter Gallery and use Halftone Pattern, it turns the face black, it's done this on every photo I've tried. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
It could be due to a number of reasons. Some examples might be if your foreground and background colors ar both black or if the Halftone pattern settings aren't correct or if the Blend Mode isn't Normal. One would have to inspect your PSD file to pinpoint the source of the problem.
Make sure the correct layer is active and not the layer mask. Make sure the layer mask isn't inverted. Make sure the brush's blend mode is Normal and its opacity is 100%. Since you're PS version is already CC, why not update it to the latest version. It's free with your subscription.
I really like this but we all have to admit, in 2023 now, it's likely all of these techniques will soon be put into an AI app that makes learning this futile. In the future we will just need to better understand what the end product should look like rather than the steps needed to make it.
Good point, however, from my perspective, typing in prompts is not an act of creation. It’s simply telling AI what you want rather than creating it yourself. In addition, the process of creating it yourself acts as a jumping board for us to explore limitless possibilities.

I dont know what i am doing wrong when you say make the foreground blue it makes the whole image blue when i try it. I lose the white of the face?
I don't say to make the foreground blue. I say to make the foreground COLOR blue.
ok thanks
I had the same problem. Make sure your background color is white and not black. The foreground color is blue. @@lisakowalsky6674
