I love the colors, Rosie! can I ask where you get your thick straws for stacking? I have used the dowels from cake stores but some are expensive and very hard to cut. I cannot find thick straws though. Please point or link in the right direction girl, I beg of you as I have no idea where else to look & it's driving me nuts! 😁 xx
I Love your job, your cakes are amazing! I am Brazilian from Minas Gerais, and i am with you for a few months, and i am more and more in love! A miner's Kiss 😍
Hi Rosie, I am looking to bake a cake for my friends graduation party. How many people would a cake like this feed roughly? Thanks so much for all the great inspiration!
Hi Rosie. How do your cakes always come out of the tins so straight!!! Mine shrink away from the tins so much which makes it very hard to get straight without using ganache plates which isn't an option with buttercream x
Sugar Rae Bryant Hi, The 6 inch board is still under the 6 inch cake, but I removed that from the 8 inch board it was sitting on. (at the beginning I glued the 6 inch board to an 8 inch to make decorating easier).
Rosie's Dessert Spot .I' sorry I do not know english the little signs aré what they say Happy Birthday or love you put it in the cakes . I LOVE your work i am Argentina and live in the United States but not be english sorry greetings.
hi I live in Qld with no air conditioning in my kitchen and find that my buttercream starts melting when trying to apply the fondant, do you think I could freeze the cake with the buttercream then apply fondant? any tips appreciated😆
I live in Malaysia and I use ganache instead of buttercream. I can't freeze my buttercream because of the condensation and the cake will be too wet to apply the fondant.
melissa irvine you can freeze buttercream, but once out of the freezer you have to work fairly quickly to cover it in fondant, and then try not to handle it too much once it starts to sweat,in summer in summer i never use buttercream underfondant and always go for ganache as well
hi rosie just a quick question, where do you buy your loose edible gold from??i have the one with backing on and find it frustrating to use love your vids btw😊
milagro mendez thank you for the suggestion :) buttercream cakes give you more variety and freedom when it comes to decorating. for example whipped cream can't be covered in fondant and you can't really paint onto whipped cream etc as its too soft. But I can definitely put out some more whipped cream cake tutorials and see if I can get creative with it. I like a challenge ;)
Noor Noor thank you! I think it all comes in time and practice. Just try to keep your spatula centered, level and let the turn table do all the hard work for you :)
Hi Rosie, beautiful cakes, could you please send me the recipe for the cakes that tou used for this video. Also, could you please make a Victoria sponge cake with strawberries & cream, inside & on top. There are so many recipes out there for sponge cake & mine never turn out. Now, I'm a home cook & I make fantastic tasting cakes, but I really have trouble making a really good, soft, moist & nice tasting sponge. Sometimes there too hard, sometimes there too dry, sometimes they look good but when you bite into it 😝😝yuk!! it doesn't taste nice. it's really disappointing. I love making cakes Aussie cakes & European cakes & I love eating them. Hopefully you can give me some tips but I'd really like you to make a sponge. Cheers xx

Sugar Rae Bryant Hi, The 6 inch board is still under the 6 inch cake, but I removed that from the 8 inch board it was sitting on. (at the beginning I glued the 6 inch board to an 8 inch to make decorating easier).

I like it, but why you don't do cakes without butter cream like for example like of whipped cream

Hi Rosie :) how tall would each layer be? 4 inches?
hey sassysarah29, I find 2 of my cakes make a 4 to 5 inch tall cake.
Why can't you dilute the paste colour with water?
Laura Naomi alcohol and extract dries quickly
