it will leave marks on a hot rim, then youll have to work a little harder to clean them up. So i try not to use any products on a hot car or hot rims

I like your initiative to make them look nice, but I'd bet you would get almost as good results just stripping the nasty clear finish with some paint remover. Most of the ugliness is just deteriorated clear coat! Good job gettin' after it, though, youngster! Cool that you are showing pride in your ride.

Should have had some music playing or something, why do you only have a 235 tire ? And not 255 ?

yea kinda, but you can keep buffing them and clean them up, but it is a big waste of time.

I cant have music due to youtube profit regulations, and the wheels are just some $15 tires i put on for the winter. I have probably only drove this car around 50miles in 4months

It would go a lot quicker if you first chemically strip the clear coat. No need to use polish to remove a protective coating before beginning to polish the aluminum. Most of your work was just to break through that layer. Also, why not pop off the plastic center cap and avoid scuffing it? It won't polish any more than the plasti-chrome, so why risk marking it? When done, if you don't recoat the wheels I guarantee you'll have to go back and do this again and again to keep them looking nice.
