What about a towing Settup to avoid constant shifting back and forth between 4-3 and 3-2. Mainly talking about smaller inclines where I need to give it more fuel without it downshifting so easily. I’d like for the downshift to be delayed until I get past 85-90% throttle at 70 miles per hour for 4-3 and 60 miles per hour for 3-2 I’d like to leave the stock “normal” settings as is and only change the Tow/Haul mode. 2009 Silverado, 5.3L with 4L60e. Stock tires 3:73 rear end Transmission was just rebuilt last month with new TC. DoD has been disabled is the only engine change on a completely stock engine.
I'm wanting to do the exact same thing except on my 04 6.0/4L80E. normal mode unloaded is perfectly fine, but towing with tow haul is awful. It will go from locked in 4th straight to unlocked in 2nd while doing 70mph, which is retarded.
I’m about to buy credits for my h2 hummer. I got 40” tires on it and I can’t get it to keep the TC locked up on the highway… thanks for the info. How close are you to Fort Worth
@matthieubernier1940 It would work just fine... depending on the miles and condition of the transmission for towing you'd want to take 50-70% TQ Management. If it's a high miles stock transmission you wouldn't want to take out as much. And line pressure you can go up 15-25 psi overall... shift schedule you can go up 3mph but this is more to suit and factors such as gears/ tire height.
Are you able to tune locally? I live in San Benito, and have a stock 2011 Chevrolet 1500 Silverado with 5.3 V8 & 6L80 transmission. I would like to deactivate AFM and change lockup settings on torque converter.
2003 traiblazer 4200,4l60e,P10 ECM. Got it tuned years ago. Not capable to do a burnout or hard launch :( Got hptuners now and retired trailblazer from daily driver to now become 1/8 mile street legal. Horrible 1/8 mile time as of now. Is that torgue management holding power back? The 4200 produces 280hp.
@LSXPerformance "They" say trailblazer have fairly loose torque converters, aka 3k launch capable. Want to test that :) We got shifting set at 6700 as to keep engine in better powerband in next gear, looking forward to the performance 4l60 tune from you !! Make sure to put disclaimer in, 4l60e after all haha
@bertvisser6423 I'm not sure about all of them but I do know the TBSS has the 2800. And yes you are definitely right, I do need to edit and add the disclaimer to the description. Thanks for that lol... Yes sir I'll get the performance 4l60 video out soon. I'm just getting the hang of the editing, think that part takes the longest.
@dart760 Yes you'd be fine just follow all the steps, don't go to excessive on the line pressure and id leave the TQ Management on or cut it by a little less.
@bk2life That I'm not going aggressive as in putting say 20+ psi into the transmission or going with a 6500 shift point. Even could cut the TQ Management by 75% or completely turn it off. If you had asked for me to give you an aggressive tune everything above is what I would have done. So that's what I meant by a conservative tune. Hope that made sense and answered your question.
@@LSXPerformance I took the 'pretty basic' meaning like a stock upgrade. Will be looking for your video on a performance tune. Say the thousands of vehicels with truck norris cam, 3500 stall etc..
I know everyone says not to copy paste tune but I followed your instructions exactly on my 2001 s10 4.3 and let me tell you it made a huge difference
Please do more tuning videos on 4l60e trans tuning. Very helpful info. Keep up the vids
Dang bro keep these videos coming id definitely love to see a video of tuning a 4l80E for racing and using the tow/haul button. Great video thank you
I got you, I'll get something up soon.
Lots of good info. Thanks! Keep em coming
Can u do more videos on tuning 5.3 n 4l60e
Do u have a video of from 4l60 to 4l80 ,how to make 4l80 work?

I converted my 4x4 to 2wd, what would I have to change in order to make it work, or will it work stock

Would this be good for towing also? Or it will burn the transmission with these settings?

@bertvisser6423 Yes sir the TQ Management will hold you back some on launches as will the "brake torque" in the engine tq management.

@LSXPerformance did some digging in my trailblazer files. Ofcourse the P10 ecu doesnt have brake torgue in engine management.
So could I do this on a high Mike 4l60e. I want it to shift good. It's wonky the feel. Would it help it last longer with the pressure ect?
@dart760 Yes you'd be fine just follow all the steps, don't go to excessive on the line pressure and id leave the TQ Management on or cut it by a little less.
what does 'pretty basic conservative tune' mean?
