My favourite part of this educational gem is the fact that Dan stood tall and said he didn’t want Jimmy to change his claw grip and was still able to teach his addition points to improve ! That for me is what a professional teacher does 👍

Been listening to FC Bullard podcast and hearing Jimmy saying how he respects the gaffer and would always behave when it’s a team talk etc really showed in this video. He sat back, absorbed the knowledge and as he is the serious sportsman he is, picked up the skills and left a different shirt game golfer

Dan Grieve is money. A great balance on his RUclips channel! I’ve been trying to do a lot of this for a few months, still s**t out of the sand but I’m getting there. Always running into DG videos, straight on my must watch playlist. Jimmy as lovable as ever even tho he played for questionable football clubs. We can forgive him tho.

I used to be brilliant with pitching and chipping 😊 then I tried to improve on my longer game and ended up with the yips due to tension in my forearms. After ruining so many games because of this I'm going to try that claw method!

Dan is the one and only , no doubt! His technic , his way of transmit his knowledge, easy, and you see instant progress , not like the 95% of golf teachers around the world. I’ve bought his book and my short game is full of confidence . I got to practice more but the improvement has been enormous !! Thanks Dan for your honest sharing of knowledge !!🎉

I have been away from the game for 12 years. I just have started to play again. I used to carry about a 4 handicap when I played steady years ago.. The hardest shots to hit are these short game shots consistently. Getting tips from this guy or that guy for years playing in pro- ams and seems like everyone does this or that differently.. this instruction is by far the best short game instruction I have found.. Please keep these coming! Thanks for all the videos! I wish I lived just down the road from Dan so I could schedule time with him.. Paul from Pennsylvania.....

Was lucky enough to discover DG a few months back and I am hooked. Used to have a reasonably tidy short game but for the last 2/3 years it’s been very much on the decline. Spend hours working on his tips but without him watching and helping with the hands on stuff it’s still not quite right. Would love to have been in Jimmys shoes on this clip. U can see the confidence shine through. Good luck with the journey Jimmy lad 👍

He has transformed my short game in one month - I never used to hit high shots but hit them all the time now.

This is the video I’ve been waiting for…..I have Dans book it’s amazing, I’m a high handicapper and even though just started reading it not long ago after a little practice on release 1 some of the strikes have been unreal…..you never can imagine what a pure strike would feel like until you do it…..

I love the teachings in this as i have struggled with my short game for 30+ years. I learnt the correct swing path on the back swing, how soft your hands need to be (thumbs off) and that i can hit the ground before the ball. Too awesome Dan, and thx Jimmy for being such a brilliant student.

This was excellent. I took the advice on board about wrist angle and widening the backswing and it worked great for me on the course yesterday. Have never hit chips closer!
Jimmy, you are smashing it, i could see all the ahaaa moments on your face during this video. Love the fact that Dan did not want you to change your claw grip from 20 to 30 yards and has now put you onto a different club loft . I can see Dan's point if you can carry out shots with a stroger loft and pull it off. It will do wonders for your confidence #nomoreyips. Fantastic video i have been waiting for this one. Thx for sharing.
Amazing video, kudos to the Golf life boys and Dan. The Bulldog was so engaged and receptive, just awesome to see how he embraced the knowledge and really understood what he was being taught. So much of this made sense to me and has helped me a lot, I do fear the ground too much depending on the club, sometimes I play on course that have had no rain for three weeks and you can't take a divot, all that shit gets in my head, sometimes I'd rather be in sand. I don't like hybrids or woods on fairway it just feels weird, but I am getting better at 3 wood with a change of stance. I am a great fan of using any of your irons around the green for bump and runs, Fred Couples used to use a 7 iron a lot, back when you were only allowed to use putter on the green people would use a 2 iron. Try all your clubs around the green. I had never heard of the claw grip, you use it veery well Jimmy, I'll give it a try. Thanks Dan, your instruction is so easy to absorb.
