My fingerprints were probably on that tractor when it left the factory in 79 - I worked in the parts department pulling kits for the factory next door. Besides picking parts, I unloaded tires that were delivered, shuttled CV joints from parts to the paint shop and moved via forklift engines to final assembly.
I totally agree dad should get his choice. Now it's time to build a competition pulling tractor. Need more pulling events in the western states. Lucas Oil help.
This, the best maschine with the most comfort goes to the most senior operator. Our close to retirement operators mostly get a new excavator/Truck 3 years before retirement. Holywood and Legarms can ride it when senior wont climb the ladder anymore.
Repair, Rebuild, Recycle, Restore then Replace. This is how I became a very wealthy man. Not only did you save money from buying brand new piece of very expensive equipment you get the satisfaction that you did a job well done. It is always great to see people use their hands and their minds to get ahead in life. This was a beautiful restoration. Stay warm and dry my friends.
Dad should drive the big 600/50!! But you guys did an amazing job on the big bud! You should rebuild the other tractor you guys have!! I want to see mini bud get rebuilt!! God bless, be safe and take care!!

And this is why your channel is so awesome. Your family is such an awesome team that does a lot of work yourselves still and has the videos to prove it!
You should let your dad enjoy the first seeding of that amazing tractor. He really deserves it seeing how he has made you who you are and so you should give him one back.

Amazing. I'm still a farm kid at heart and your videos just make me drool. 2 things: 1) There has been a 525/50 Big Bud for sale in Dawson Mn for about a year. I last saw it fall of 2019. It's never been a field tractor, it was used by the local contractor to pull a huge knife for laying drain tile. 2) As near as I can tell, the 747 has been retired. With your abilities, you should get it and restore it. :-) Keep up the great work!
I always think its amazing when people restore old machinery, but it's even better when it gets restored so it can be used. Keeping history alive :) (let your Dad drive whatever he wants, hes earnt it)
Yes ,,,,, you guys are the greatest for sharing your farm lives with us. I have gained a tremendous appreciation for what you guys go through to make it all work. Especially love the family comradery you guys enjoy! Your farms is a great role model for the millennials interested in agriculture !!!!
This small snip shows non farmers what it takes to be a farmer : painter, machinic, electritriian, auto electrician, horticatrailist, accountant, animal husbandry, builder, plumber, the list goes on. That's a lot of work guys, thanks for the show.
You guys truly are Masters of the Craft. I wish I would have had a good head on my shoulders when I was younger. I could have had my Grandad's Kinberger Family Farm. Things happen. But your videos and farming take me back to the good days that I remember. Keep doing what you do. And God Bless. Your Biggest Indiana Fan, Jocko.
It is amazing to see the amount of work put into this. Your skills and ethic are at a level most people can not imagine. An absolute pleasure to watch.
I'm sure you guys will give your dad his pick. Very nice job amazing. You guys literally saved hundreds of thousands of dollars in avoiding the purchase of a new tractor. Farmers across the country should take notes.
It's great to see so far 2 generations working towards the same goal. There will be a third generation working on the farm faster than you can imagine. The children learn early to later take over the farm. This has been the case for centuries and it will continue. This is what has kept farming going through eternal times.
I knew that this video existed but always forgotten to look it up. Today it just popped up. Fantastic job rebuilding the world’s largest tractor! It looks amazing!
You both have children, the next generation of farmers (hopefully)!! Yall have shown that not EVERYTHING has to be brand new, make do with what u have, THEN maybe get a new piece(pay that off), yall are making it easier for ur children to continue the family legacy.. and i appreciated the scripture verse u included in video !!
Now all you need is another barn to put them all in! I'm in billings and build barns big enough to put 20 of them in it if you wanted, and they will stand for the next generation if you'd like. Killer job though guys!
Dad deserves it. Better money spent on the Big Bud than newer equipment. I'm really impressed with the interior work. I would not have the patience for that.
Another masterpiece by Welker Brothers and Dad Restoration Shop. Leg arms makes machining parts look so easy. I have done enough machine work to know I have no idea how to do machine work. Just amazing. I've said it before and I'll say it again, you're an artist.
I vote for Dad to get it. We are the same age!! I saw my first one at the FPS in the late 70's. With the FFA teachers permission we all cut school for 3 day's in IL. It was at Malta IL.Also Love the Bible verse in the video.
WOW! Man oh Man! The BEST production value, content of any video on You Tube. This channel is superior to anything on broadcast media PERIOD! THE BEST! Thank you for all the hard work and broadcasting this masterpiece!
There’s a local farmer by me that has 2 buds. Not sure what size, but I heard he is going to be getting rid of them. One doesn’t work anymore but hey if you need parts 🤷🏻♂️

A tribute to diligence, planning, skill, work ethic, craftsmanship, everything that makes this a great country all personified in this time lapse video. Much praise due, almost hurts to think it will see dirt, snow and rain but hell, you will keep it tip top for another lifetime or two.
Thank you for another great video. You are all very talented and use what the Good Lord has given you. Praise the Lord for the farmers like you. Bob should be able to use whatever tractor he wants. God bless and I'll be watching for your next video.
If it wasn't for dad there wouldn't be big buds. You can see where I'm going with this. Respect, consideration and appreciation is what it's all about.
Dad my vote goes to you of driving the referbish Big Bud you made it all happen by hard work. You guys are amazing in the quality and quantity of work you get done. I hope the next generations of your family will continue you guys have accomplished. May God bless you and your family’s in the process. What you do reminds me of the poem or prayer of “Why God made a Farmer”.

In my opinion, I think that Big Bud tractors have always had the best looking cab interiors. Be good respectful sons and give pops first picks with whichever tractor he wants to use. There wouldn't be a big bud if it wasnt for pops.
Yes it pains to see the combines outside but i am sure the Welkers feel that much more than even we do! Buildings cost big bucks and then taxes afterwards so there's that to think about too.
I saw on insta that they have just taken delivery of a brand new grain bin, so as long as it's built up by next harvest they won't have to store grain in their equipment buildings.. problem will work itself out...
Agree, Need to make that in a decal and add it to the monster of a tractor. Great job to all who worked on it. I know putting your own sweat n blood into restoring means so much more than sending it off and have someone else do the work. That's why I like your channel so much. Yes it pains to see the combines outside but i am sure the Welkers feel that much more than even we do! Buildings cost big bucks and then taxes afterwards so there's that to think about too.
the main reason they are sitting outside is because their storage for the combines is being taken up by grain
