This is a long shot but do you have a video showing how you remove the cylinder? I got the cylinder head off but I've tried so much to get the cylinder off and I can't.
Kevin. Thank you so much for all these videos on the KDs! I just bought my first KD100 yesterday for $100 for a winter project for my son and me. Your videos are so helpful. Are parts like oil pumps, gaskets, fork seals and dustcaps, throttle and clutch cables, etc. still available or is a matter of getting lucky on ebay? In short, where can I buy new parts?
That is awesome great deal yes parts are still available ebay is a great parts place kd80 km100 and some ke100 parts fit your bike also if you go to partzilla.com they have a complete parts brake down
In India, I have a KB100, the same guy with just 4 gears, but checking the gear teeth, only two gear shifters are here. can we add another shifter with proper gear teeth to change into 5 gear model?
Thank you Keven.i have a stripped spline on the kick starter, verry hardened steel, i thought i could put in a rool pin to lock it in but too hard steel. any ideas? you did get this cleaned up before supper lol
Hi! Great video! I have a question concerning the oil injection. First, a little history. I owned a Suzuki TS 90 back in the 70s when I was a kid. It was a rotary valve intake much like the KD 100 I own now. It had a few modifications that I had done to it and one of those modifications was to remove the oil pump, block off the pump mount and injection tube. I ran premix in it and had no problems. I was wanting to do some of the same modifications to my KD but was told that the injection is a must because of the rotary valve. Have you had any experience with using premix exclusively on theses bikes? Any information would be appreciated! Thanks!!
Yes you can I'm actually doing that to kb80 the parts you need are used on mc1 /km100/km90 brake hub ring gear cable gauge and bracket and thank you for the great comment videos starting up soon
Thank you so much for answering my question I did get a hug but it's off of a 175 k e and it's a 1975 where are the shock goes in its narrower I was just going to widen it up would that work
Hey Kevin how you doing do you sell parts as well if so I would really like to know what you have and I had a question about my 79 KD it doesn't smoke very much is that okay
Hi! pl also enlighten me if the kick-start spindle holds a steel ball like the 3rd, 4th and 5th shaft on which rests the magnet. I am confused. Pl guide.
@@2strokeguru Ahhh, ok thanks. I'm rebuilding my '78 KE125 (so many parts are the same/similar) Thank you so much for these videos!!!!! I have the manual but nothing like watching someone experienced.
Leaking exhaust gasket during the exhaust stroke the intake stroke happens kinda at the same time pushing exhaust out the pipe its not uncommon to have a light leak but if it is a lot replace the donut gasket it's typically the copper crush style gasket
@@2strokeguru its a two stroke motorcycle engine. The old one..what i mean is, the gear oil is being pushed to chamber thats why my sparkplug get malfunction due to wet gear oil..
I have a 80 KD80, fresh plugs and spark, has compression, cleaned carb and float set to 24mm, oil and fuel tank clean and flows freely but I cant get it to fire.....am I missing something?
Thank you so much for making these videos! Really helpful when I opened the case and something fell out. Now I know where it goes!

Blocking off the oil will result in damage to rotary valve and right side crankshaft bearing
