Having businesses make products and calling them 'sustainable' simply because they're not plastic is an environmental issue in itself. The fact that this guy has the balls to make the spiel on plastic and not look into the full supply chain of his 'sustainable' product is mental. Green wash. Fair play to Deborah for properly calling him out.

The discussion of the environmental impact of sustainable logging for paper straws vs wheat farming for pasta straws would be far too intense for a show like Dragon’s Den, but I do know that tree farming uses far less water and far fewer pesticides. Land usage, water usage, and chemical contamination in runoff are massive issues in agriculture, and those problems are far less significant with well managed logging. I don’t really know much else beyond that though.

Yeah I make gin with a flavor and I give you some shots to try it while I am drinking water, does that mean that I do not like my gin enough and trust it to succeed and this is then seen and felt by the dragons?
