2.6s 0-60mph with rollout already verified in 54° weather 2.86s without counting rollout per the same poster on tmc forums.
And it qualifies for the tax credit so tech for most this is an astonishing 45kcar +taxes&fees. What a time to be alive!😎👍🏻

This is poor advertising as is. As Elon said, you could replace the M3P with any other car in this video and it'll make just as much sense. Nothing about this clip tells anyone why this is a special car. At the very least it could put the 0-60 time.

2.9s 0-60 for 53k isn't bad at all. New front end and seats give it a bit more spice over the other models.

And for people who qualify for the tax credit, it brings the price down to $45k, which is $2k less than the long range Model 3 which currently isn't eligible for the tax credit, so that's an interesting conundrum to have.
Plus dual pane windows- quieter, revised suspension for smoother ride, new speakers, new and stronger keyless entry, revised body panels. They literally fixed everything on my M3 that nagged me.
"Bad at all"? Considering you also have the safest car, with the best software, OTA, amazing features, best charging network, FSD, etc I think what you meant is "This is insane".
None of that is insane to me. I am a bit desensitize because I owned the s, y, and x.

problems with tesla evs are lack of 800 volt battery architecture and charging capability,lack of acceleration noise like ixm60 or taycan line up,tesla evs still uses very old school ncm ternary battery cells from 10 years ago technology that is why tesla evs barely improve their range because there is nothing new about their battery packs,nio for comparison recently interduced semi ssb with 150 kwh capacity which provides 600 miles of range in 2300 kg ev,most jaw dropping thing about this new pack is that it has same weight of an average 100 kwh pack,tesla should work heavily on their battery packs and improve them immediately unless they wont survive in the game,i mean they could if no one else were in ev industry
@@davidfujkk8018 Man you got it so backwards, I don't know where to start. 800 Volt tech is marginally meaningful in real life situations, the acceleration noise in my book is a liability, not an asset, old school battery tech my patooty, Tesla has the most advanced battery tech as opposed to, say, Taycan, which has crap range with huge batteries that are constantly being recalled with severe thermal issues. On a kWH per mile basis this new Model 3 has the best batteries that are also the most reliable in the industry with the least degradation, plus a much better behavior in cold weather than the competitors. And let's not get into the charging network itself, performance, safety, FSD, OTA, and, of course, price. Why do you think the competition is SLOWING down EV plans? They can't remotely compete with Tesla.

It’s more like 3.3 seconds vs 2.9. The 3.1 sec is recorded with rollout subtracted, but the 2.9 sec is with rollout. Should feel a decent difference

Still hard to rationalize this against my LR with accel boost at 3.7 quoted, to put up all of that + more for a second (plus susp, brakes, etc). Tempting as all else, but doing my best at being content as is 🤷♂️ my ‘21 LR ACB can still run with them til triples. From old school benz’s and amgs to teslas.. cant guess it sometimes. You know if you know

Just a couple of things. People think there's nowhere to charge it. Not enough charging stations. That's a top concern now. They also think it's too expensive.
Only because they don't include the price of gas when comparing it. A car plus gas is about $30k more than a Tesla over 5 years.

This is truly special. The outgoing Model 3 Performance wasn't really any different from the Long Range version. All it had was a more powerful inverter, different wheels, a Carbon Fiber spoiler and software to unlock the power. Everything else was the same. It wasn't even lowered.
This new Performance model have new hardware and will need to be assembled differently. A totally different powertrain, new suspension, brakes, aero and bolstered seats!
Actually iconic sound feature would be great like BMW.

@@URsooomad8613 My guess is it would smoke the AMG. I've got a Plaid S and while it crushes anything from 0-60 it absolutely obliterates every car on the road from 60-130 it's not even funny. It's like a cheat code on physics. Granted, this is not a plaid, but should be a similar situation I would think.

I believe if you guys come up with a compact/ cheap 3 row vehicle it will sell well. Just like the VW bus was back in the day or the bettle. Times are hard with inflation
So close to the last model, I can't imagine you could tell the difference between them.
I think I would have my current model repainted and buy a different wheel for it before I take the trade in loss on my car that works perfectly.

Im surprised that they don't offer an upgrade kit for the current models with all this stuff and do that as a refresh and squeeze out 20k dollars from us and not have to build an entire new car. Then, when they get serious about a new model, make that one much different.

Doubtful, because the battery has to maintain a higher temperature for the performance
I'd guess an extra 20 or 30 miles, if you can find 18s that will fit.
