I discovered you when researching for a Sonic article I was writing in preparation for Generations' release about the best 2D levels. But I had never played Sonic CD. So I did a search for a Let's Play, found your playthrough and ended up really enjoying your commentary. The fact that you were releasing weekly videos while I was stuck at work meant I had guaranteed entertainment while I caught up with your backlog. I wasn't using RUclips right when Clement started either, but I too was instantly hooked on all of his megaman and sonic videos. I would watch one after the other during my sophomore year in high school, when I'd be bored and needed some comfort and joy and Clement did that for me, he was one of the first I subbed to when I made my account finally. Yeah, I gotta agree, that moment with Team Dark in Sonic 06 was probably my favorite part. It was one of the few times the stories didn't feel stupid. It honestly made you happy to say 'I'm a Sonic fan and have stuck with these characters since the Genesis.' All that buildup from Adventure 2 led to that point where you could honestly say Shadow, Rogue, and Omega were tighter-knit than the main trio. Thank you, Sonic 06. Now go back to being terrible.

I think the first LP I watched from this channel was Mega Man the Wily Wars and wow, I was like, 12 at the time. I'm 21 now. In 2015 I was diagnosed with depression, when the Mega Man Legends 2 LP was still ongoing and I stopped watching Clement only to return now, in 2019. Time fucking flies, man. Back then I was still a huge Sonic fan but now I can't stand seeing him, but on the other hand, I was introduced to a whole new genre, First Person Shooters, it was a fair trade, I think. Anyway, the Mega Man LPs were always great, fond memories of those, and the Banjo-Kazooie and Pac-Man World LPs were my introduction to these two games, I even used them as a guide, and I'm glad I got to play them. It was the Summer of 2009 that I remember watching ClementJ642 as I had begun looking for Mega Man X shit. Sure enough, I found this little channel and decided to take a look. I binged every. single. video. Every single video of Mega Man _anything_ up to that point in July and I was hooked. I actually went ahead and made my first account as Awsm Man (later losing that account so I had to be Awsm Chimera [Yes, I love the fuck outta Mega Man]) and subscribing to my first ever RUclips channel. I want to say I subscribed in 2010, though I’m not 100%. I think you had just started S3&K. I know it was pre-5000 subscribers, so...not quite OG fan, but ya know...I discovered you because I was looking for help on Mega Man Zero because I happened to stumble on a cartridge back then. I then found your LP of that...then I watched Zero 2...then 3...then 4...then another LP...then another...and I eventually caught up. You were a very entertaining individual, and it’s been interesting to see you grow over the years. From back in your deleted game collection video where you actually said Shadow was a good game (oh how things change...lol) to those old skits to the vlog reviews to your FF retrospective and of course your bread and butter LPs, it’s good to see you still hanging around these parts and thriving. Your favourite Generation is Gen 5? You, me, outside. Now! No you're OK. Pokemon Black 2 is actually a pretty good game. Probably the second best Pokemon RPG on the DS/3DS in my opinion.
I actually had a bitter feeling towards Gen 5. I despise the anime, and I kinda found the games to be bland looking, and the Pokedex not overly interesting... Last year, my girlfriend found a spare cartridge of Black 2. I gave the game a full go, up to the Elite Four, and I actually found it to be pretty good. Certainly contradictory to my initial feelings... I didn't have a DS beforehand, so I couldn't necessarily play the games to see how good the games actually were.
Congrats Clement! 10 Years on RUclips is a rare feat! You're the only youtuber I know that never partnered, or started doing sponsors, or became a sellout, etc! Not throwing shade at any of us for doing that.. you gotta do what you gotta do. But you've been authentic since the very beginning, just doing this for fun: Something RUclips WAS always about.
At the end of 2008, my first girlfriend broke up with me. Looking back, the relationship wasn't super amazing, just a high-school thing, and me and her are on good terms now, but it sucked at the time. I finally decided to try to get into the Mega Man classic series to take my mind off of it, since I already loved the X series. And then, when I got into it more, I found the thing that truly helped me get my mind off of it. I found my first Let's Play. It was Mega Man: The Wily Wars. I started watching all of the Mega Man LPs on your channel, then when I finished MM and Bass, I had caught up. Then, I began watching Mega Man V as you uploaded it, then Mega Man 9, then the X series. I hadn't even played the Zero series, but I got really into watching those. Watching your videos, suspensefully wondering what would happen next with Zero, Ciel, and the Guardians. Seeing this video was an amazing trip down memory lane for me. I can still remember what was happening in my life at the time, watching some of those clips. It's crazy the ripple effect it had on me. Many of my closest friends, people I've hung out with at cons, are LPers I've watched over the years, and watching LPs all started with you for me. So congrats to you. As a long-time fan, I'm proud of you. It's amazing to see how far you've come. Hope that all of your future video making endeavors are just as great to make, as they have been to watch all of these years. TLDR: Thanks for helping me take my mind off of my first breakup, thanks for helping me get into watching a video format that would become how I met many of my closest friends, thanks for all the entertainment you've given me, and thank you for being The Great Clement.

I think the first LP I watched from this channel was Mega Man the Wily Wars and wow, I was like, 12 at the time. I'm 21 now.
In 2015 I was diagnosed with depression, when the Mega Man Legends 2 LP was still ongoing and I stopped watching Clement only to return now, in 2019.
Time fucking flies, man. Back then I was still a huge Sonic fan but now I can't stand seeing him, but on the other hand, I was introduced to a whole new genre, First Person Shooters, it was a fair trade, I think. Anyway, the Mega Man LPs were always great, fond memories of those, and the Banjo-Kazooie and Pac-Man World LPs were my introduction to these two games, I even used them as a guide, and I'm glad I got to play them. Thanks for everything, Clement.

It was the Summer of 2009 that I remember watching ClementJ642 as I had begun looking for Mega Man X shit. Sure enough, I found this little channel and decided to take a look. I binged every. single. video. Every single video of Mega Man _anything_ up to that point in July and I was hooked. I actually went ahead and made my first account as Awsm Man (later losing that account so I had to be Awsm Chimera [Yes, I love the fuck outta Mega Man]) and subscribing to my first ever RUclips channel.
Clement, I've watched ya a long time and as someone who's hardly subscribed to _anyone_ throughout my long history with this site (I think I only broke thirty last year), I can say that I'm proud you've kept your spot as the longest in that listing. Well, except for those times I've mis-clicked and unsubscribed. You've been there since 2009 on my old channel and since 2011 on my current one. In fact you're the one that I can honestly say is the reason the channel I'm commenting with even really exists.
You showed me a new possibility for my hobby of videogames as a somewhat productive thing and you're the one that inspired me to start doing RUclips back in 2010 with my friends. Sure, we're an infinitesimally small channel, but I want you to know that _you're_ someone's Channel Awesome. You're someone's James Rolfe, y'know?

I want to say I subscribed in 2010, though I’m not 100%. I think you had just started S3&K. I know it was pre-5000 subscribers, so...not quite OG fan, but ya know...I discovered you because I was looking for help on Mega Man Zero because I happened to stumble on a cartridge back then. I then found your LP of that...then I watched Zero 2...then 3...then 4...then another LP...then another...and I eventually caught up. You were a very entertaining individual, and it’s been interesting to see you grow over the years. From back in your deleted game collection video where you actually said Shadow was a good game (oh how things change...lol) to those old skits to the vlog reviews to your FF retrospective and of course your bread and butter LPs, it’s good to see you still hanging around these parts and thriving. I thought it was funny that you started your FF retrospective when you did because I had only just started getting into Final Fantasy a few months prior to your retrospective starting, and I started from the very beginning onward, so my opinions were very fresh on those early games. Now I’ve played up to 12 and am taking a break because there are side games up the wazoo at the point I’m at now and I’m burnt out, lol. But I digress (heh, see that? No you're OK. Pokemon Black 2 is actually a pretty good game. Probably the second best Pokemon RPG on the DS/3DS in my opinion.
Gen 5 is awesome, you can tell there was some work put into the game.
I actually had a bitter feeling towards Gen 5. I despise the anime, and I kinda found the games to be bland looking, and the Pokedex not overly interesting... Last year, my girlfriend found a spare cartridge of Black 2. I gave the game a full go, up to the Elite Four, and I actually found it to be pretty good. Certainly contradictory to my initial feelings... I didn't have a DS beforehand, so I couldn't necessarily play the games to see how good the games actually were.

At the end of 2008, my first girlfriend broke up with me. Looking back, the relationship wasn't super amazing, just a high-school thing, and me and her are on good terms now, but it sucked at the time. I finally decided to try to get into the Mega Man classic series to take my mind off of it, since I already loved the X series. And then, when I got into it more, I found the thing that truly helped me get my mind off of it. I found my first Let's Play. It was Mega Man: The Wily Wars. I started watching all of the Mega Man LPs on your channel, then when I finished MM and Bass, I had caught up. Then, I began watching Mega Man V as you uploaded it, then Mega Man 9, then the X series. I hadn't even played the Zero series, but I got really into watching those. Watching your videos, suspensefully wondering what would happen next with Zero, Ciel, and the Guardians. Seeing this video was an amazing trip down memory lane for me. I can still remember what was happening in my life at the time, watching some of those clips. It's crazy the ripple effect it had on me. Many of my closest friends, people I've hung out with at cons, are LPers I've watched over the years, and watching LPs all started with you for me. So congrats to you. As a long-time fan, I'm proud of you. It's amazing to see how far you've come. Hope that all of your future video making endeavors are just as great to make, as they have been to watch all of these years.
TLDR: Thanks for helping me take my mind off of my first breakup, thanks for helping me get into watching a video format that would become how I met many of my closest friends, thanks for all the entertainment you've given me, and thank you for being The Great Clement.

The first video I watched from you was the first part of your Sonic the Hedgehog playthrough when I was only 6 years old. My mom didn't care that you swore like a sailor, so I kept watching. Day after day, year after year, I've been looking forward to whatever you do next. It's 2018, and I'm 14 now. I write music, and I act in drama classes, and once I'm all tuckered out, I sit down in my office chair, and tune in to whatever new video is up. You deserve every subscriber, and every like you got on a video, no matter how much of a madman you may be. I can't believe it's been ten years since you started, I'm 16 now and I remember watching your stuff as a kid, I don't remember which let's plays I started with, whether it was one of your sonic ones, any of the megaman ones, or Scott pilgrim and drunk super meat boy, but I have been a big fan of your content for a long time, your let's plays were the reason I'm such a huge fan of the megaman series, more specifically X and X8 because of your playthrough, it's people like you, Nintendocaprisun and the runaway guys, as well as a bunch of people who did countdowns that I'm the person I am today, but digress, congrats clement, you eggman fanboy.

Man. 10 years ago, I didn't even know what RUclips was. I was focused on school and Xbox 360. I remember back when I got my mom's old phone, back in 2011, I started to watch your Mega Man videos. I remember thinking, "Wow. This guy's pretty good!" Started watching more, started falling in love of more of your videos, etc. Plus, those Robot Master info cards were amazing!

Then I watched Megaman X5 and my friend had noticed that I added the X5 videos to my favorites playlist and that pretty much influenced my friend to watch your videos as well. As I kept watching your videos, you became my favorite let's player and that's still true to this day, I always look forward to watching your videos.
