I'm pretty much on the ignorant side on many celebrities or famous people, but he's an exception. He's my culinary hero and I miss him. RIP Mr. Bourdain.
Great commentary. One thing that really enjoy about watching Anthony’s shows is the no BS approach. Although he tries to maintain a polite narration, he will always tell the listener exactly how it is. I will always enjoy his passion for the old school and tradition to food.

For me one of the worlds best cuisines has to be Portuguese food, no doubt about it.. makes me angry that all the years living here in North America all we hear & read about on TV , radio & so on is mostly Italian , Italian has some great dishes but it don't compare with the Portuguese & I have many Italian friends here & have eaten at many of their homes & its always pasta this , pasta that, pasta with pasta oh & pizza :))) . @@Pduarte79
Some Portugese stayed in Norway and became Norwegians. My grandfather came from such people. He was Norwegian -- but dark-skinned, and meditteranean looking
Interesting. I knew we've been all over, and fished off of Norway's coast...but didn't know there we some that stayed over there. Thanks for sharing :)

Nancy thought that their 25+ years together was enough to keep them together as a couple. Their shared history from high school, through college, then as struggling junkies was a bond. Then Tony changed. He became very ambitious about his writing and TV career which she was not into, especially the constant traveling. He was mean to her during this transition and later apologized to her for treating her like so badly.
So great to have his many culinary tours. Too bad he did not get grief counseling after losing a deep relationship. Would have saved his life in my view. Elizabeth Kubler Ross style therapist would have helped him through the early dangerous stages.

Poor Tony. He was so full of life & humanity. He was stealthily offed by a powerful set who his girlfriend offended by telling the truth. They think they got the last laugh by staging a murder to appear as suicide. But the joke's on them, because people will always love & remember Tony. He died a hero.

11:35 This is why we love you Tony!
Ah he just loves cheese.
11:52 Stood out to me.
@@JS-ir7wh he makes a lot of those references, but yeah haunting
Why, cause he hated vegans out of the cognitive dissonance they triggered in him? That's about the dumbest thing about Tony, god rest his soul.
😂😂😂

Anthony Bourdain used food to bridge divides between people and cultures, teaching us about humanity. There are no more shows like this. RIP.
You can see him beginning to learn more about the world in this episode, his curiosity is on display
Such a charming man… wish I found him sooner
Any episode with Tony hanging out his Portuguese boss is a good time.

José has magnificent hair. He looks like a straight-up 1970s NFL Pro.
Anthony always knew good food when he ate it and Portuguese food is amazing, not to mention the wine.
Sadly very underrated world wide.

Love this renaissance man.
One of my many heroes 😢
We gotta carry the legacy bro
Anthony Bourdain, does mention death a lot.
Just about in every episode!
Keeping it real.
RIP Anthony Bourdain. Big fan of Portuguese cuisine. His right about the vegans, though. 😂🤣
How nice to meet Tony's boss and the fact he's a gourmand too boot!
This episode really helped me get past my preconceptions of chewing on eyeballs.
Tony was fulfilled on so many levels. The emptiness he experienced must have been horrific.

It's so good to see AB in this old episode. RIP
I love how communal the portugese meals are
When I watch this episode and I watch him drink and mention how he might not make it out. All I could think was wait until Croatia.
Miss YOU Tony...RIP!!!
11:36 His comment on vegans was funny 😂
Portugal seafood reminded me of hawai’i
I loved Porto
I love how Tony always talks about how he’s going to get fat. He never did!
He did eat well.

Great show ! No body can pass him.... 👍👍👍
It’s good. Indeed

i'm loving this series, but something is wrong with the subtitles in this one, buddy!
@Jorn Navarre it is not auto subs, maybe the channel uploaded the wrong .srt archive with the video. the other ones are just fine.

Salt cod or tripe, were my expectations…
Imagine showing the host of the show smoking lol

Got the cheek, potato, carrots and bland
Oh come on Tony, Vegans are good, less demand for meat means lower prices for meat.
Death was a constant companion and he left on his own terms. I have to respect that.
I love Tony, but cannot respect that he left a young daughter behind and did it because of a nutjob woman.
Much mustache
Tripe? God I can't eat tripe. It stinks just like Tony says. Smells like wet sheep!!! Lol
such a youthful haircut on an old face
