Music is awesome take it off the tree and put the lights on the wall or around the room then play your music and it's super cool! Put them outside in the summer time.
How did you join the two lights on the app? I have a twinkly tree (600), a string of clusters lights down the middle and 2 sets of string lights. I mapped them. But I can’t figure out how to join them together.
Yeah but it seemed like most of the options would dance even if there was no music playing. Maybe I should video all of the options if there’s any demand.
I got these lights and I kinda wish I got the special edition ones Bc the white is so bright. And I was so excited for these lights but I wish they had the option of fade n twinkly like normal lights have. But maybe with time they will. Good luck with removing ur lights wen the time comes. Also I have a flocked tree and I feel like these lights look better on regular trees.
@@rieskame nice, mine turned out great! Probably could have done a better job spacing out, and overlapping the light strands, but I've been having a lot of fun with it. Got the music dongle to go with it as well. 😁🎄
Fun fact: you would have only needed to buy one with the twinkly music. As I'm sure he found out that only one music dongle is needed per group. Also it pays read the instructions sometimes because the twinkly music has more than pattern the default pattern has it ascending from the bottom but you can change that.
Hi just bought two sets and I can’t link them together is there a step by step maybe you can instruct me to do? I would appreciate it. Thanks for your help!
Make sure you have both sets tied to the app. Hit the light bulb icon at bottom right to bring both up on screen. Then hit the chain button at top right. You'll most likely want to join them together. Finally you will need to remap using the grid icon at bottom. Hope that helps! I might make a new video showing this when more lights arrive today
Hey I’ve just installed these today and the stripes don’t look any where near as good as yours….when you installed the 2 sets on the 600 set did you wrap them round at the same time?
I wrapped one half on bottom half of the tree then started the 2nd half up where the first half ended and continued wrapping. I just try to keep the spacing tight. Thanks for watching!
I will be starting from scratch for Xmas 2022 and am wondering if it would be better to get a white "flocked" tree as the lights would reflect more off the brighter surface and have greater depth. Any thoughts? What would be your choice - green tree or flocked?
Just remember that the system isn't too smart. If it sees reflections in windows it thinks they are lights too and can disrupt the pattern. White tree is prob nothing to worry about. Good luck!
I had anissue too. It was stuck on version 1.0.3 until I deleted it and searched for it again. Upgraded to 2.0 just fine on iPad. Hope you get it working.
I have about 4500 of these now, not the pro version since I'm on Android. I've heard whispers of a texting effect or something with iOS? Can you confirm if this is a thing? And I'd love to see a video on the pro effects vrs regular for iOS. Edit - I have 600 on my indoor tree, lol
Thanks for the heads up on texting. I tried it on the 1200 tree and it was still almost unreadable. I ordered more lights outside (stay tuned) so maybe it will work better on a flat surface. I don't see any difference in effects between pro outside and non pro on the tree.
I got the texting to work once, before decorating. When it worked it was awesome, I was able to video eff you's to peeps I was pissed at (in keeping with the christmas spirit), and love you's to the good peeps. I even succesfully drew the middle finger, and seeing that spinning around the tree was amazing.
Yes 600 is more than enough for an 8-ft tree although I added another 400 rgbw kit to make it a thousand because their website does recommend 100 bulbs per foot of tree and I overkilled it by 200.
Bro, that's not how you string lights on a tree. It looks like a big ball of electrical cords in the daylight when do you that! Try winding them around the branches and going from the outside tip to the trunk, and spiral that around. It looks much better. You're welcome.
@@rieskame Yikes, good to know. I was going to buy some this year, but if it has to look like that to work… I’ll probably wait until the technology improves.
Not true with Twinkly. Your method is howe I used tro string regular lights, but with twinkly you don't want the depth, rather you want a solid wall of lights about 4 inches from the tip of the branches. That way the effects look the best.
If you go 4 inches in, that would probably look good. I still prefer winding them in and my Twinkly lights look great that way, but as long as they aren't right on the outside - the way they do it in this video looks terrible in the daylight. They're literally just wound around the surface.@@MrJamesschiff
Thanks exactly whqt I was looking for - a 600 1200 comparison
They're beautiful Clark 😎🎄
Looks great, I wanna get some for my 4' outdoor wreath.
I put 600 on my Jeeps spare tire which is about the same size. Works awesome!
can you split the lights by cutting them and use T splitter cables for a split tree system
Music is awesome take it off the tree and put the lights on the wall or around the room then play your music and it's super cool! Put them outside in the summer time.
I'll have to try that. Thanks

You need another 2400 ligthts!😁👊
Kool demo thanks and good luck when taking lights down
Great video, there more pattern options for playing music i think.

Hello. I have a 7.5 foot tree. Is 600 light's good ? .and only put in front not all around ?
How big is the tree? I just got 1000 for my 7'5 foot tree 😁
Mine 7.5' too!

I just set mine up yesterday, update the firmware and sync/link ⛓ the lights together and that worked for me

Any tips on how you plan to store these so it will not be a tangled mess when it comes to next year?
Each string comes with a few velcro ties, so just wrap up each half of the string. It takes more effort than regular lights, but worth it.
wooden hanger. wrap in an X formation. perfect for me after 3 years of owning
What’s the height of your tree? I’m currently deciding between 600 vs 1000 for a 8 ft tree
Mine is 7ft. If you don't go all the way around you can easily get away with just 600
I just bought the twinkly pre-lit tree and an extra 800 lights, plus the music. I also know it’s going to be a nightmare to take down 😂
There's enough scenes to rationalize never taking it down..
Did you have any issues with updating the music USB dongle firmware? I can't get it to work

You need more lights bro!!!
I boughtanother 600! Should I putthem on the tree too?
Where did you bought the twinkly pro light?
I got them on christmasdesigners.com

The more you bury the lights, the harder it is to set the lights up with your phone. Good idea for regular lights though!

If you link the two strings, half the tree will not be out.
Yeah you have to group them so they sync
I got the 600 with the music for free
How?
