Great Job!
Thanks!
Thank you it's work 😍
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Thank you so much for this very well done video. I watched the first and then the second, they were great! My Camry Hybrid had the exact same problem and replacing the catalytic converter fixed my problem. Had to do a little bench work to make the new cat fit, but not bad. Thanks again, nice job and very helpful. Hope to see more.
Glad you are back on the road with it. The cat did need a little "persuasion" to fit.
Did you have to use a carb compliant cat?
2006 Toyota Prius, I got that code P3190 And the triangle of death, my engine started running rough Then shut down as I pulled over On level ground I tried and started the car it finally turned on And got to my destination which was about a mile away, Went through RUclips videos, I haven't done any engine work for months, 1st thing I checked was the intake making sure nothing was stuck in mass air flow sensor And the air filter was clean, I reset everything and also reset the code and the car started up and ran perfectly and it's been about 2 or 3 weeks no problems, For me I think I was lucky to find out that the night before I had filled the vehicle all the way to the top with gas and topped it off pretty much as much as I could then I drove home about 5 miles and parked it on our driveway which is steep and it was facing down, I think it was possibly Overnight the charcoal Canister got fuel in it and did not work properly because of overfilling with fuel that's all I can think it might be because it's running great now just thought I should mention this Maybe it will help someone through the same situation
Awesome video...... this was the same exact problem I had with my 2009 Camry Hybrid. Bought the part and was able replace the part myself. $$$$aved$$$$ thanks to this video. Now my car is back in the road...
Glad it helped
Unfortunately with the channel move, the comments to this video were deleted. So, I present a short FAQ below:
Is the car still working? - Yes, on the original battery with over 185K miles
Will this fix all P0A0F and P3190 codes? - No, anything from bad gas & no gas to a blown up engine can cause this code.
Does the battery cause this code? No- the battery has a whole wealth of codes all on it's own.
Can I drive the car still? Yes and no. Without the engine, the hybrid battery cannot charge and once it is dead, YOU cannot recharge it either without special equipment. Don't go there.
But the engine sounds like it's running! - Trust me it's not when this code is thrown. The "starter" (MG1) makes a very convincing engine running sound and will "crank" for 15 seconds before it gives up. You will notice the lack of heat on the maniverter to confirm this. Don't drain your hybrid battery.
Are you a hybrid expert? - No, if I can learn it, you can learn it too; it's still a regular car engine and needs regular car engine things to run.
Did you have any problems with p0420 with aftermarket catalytic converter?
I’ve put on several with this issue with the same hybrid the one you’ve installed is a BRE/magaflow how’s it holding up?
I'm getting the same codes with my 2008 Prius with the same problem. I'd just replaced the cat along with both 02 sensors, all fuel injectors, spark plugs, coils, mass air flow sensor. The cat I got was also aftermarket(I was getting 171, 420, and 300-304). Now getting these plus 172(the OPPOSITE of what I just fixed). I'd been disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, and then it would start up fine, no engine start issue, and run great. Even idled awesome for like 20 mins in a ridiculous drive through. Then next day same issues. Just filled up tank too, and battery was fully charged(or maybe 80+%) when I turned it off the day before. Super frustrating. :-(
I got an aftermarket part too. What size of tap did you use to ensure proper fit?
Having an issue with my 2007.
Going to the dealer to see what they say this week but I'm dredding what they might come up with... thanks for the information here
Good luck - at least you can have some prior knowledge on how it works
I'm having the same issue. What's the name of the part changed and where can I order it from?
Hey bro I think my car is doimg the same thing When you change the calivis converter did u throttle it all the way did it go or does it still lag like on your 1st video Cause that's what mine's doing
The car works 100% after the repair
Where did you order the aftermarket from?
An auto store with rock in the name :-)
I have code 3190 l replace fuel pump and replace oxgen sensor
after that check engine light on
with scan tool
engine boor
Hi
P3190. P3191. P0A0F. Camry HyBird year 2008
I have the same issue and replaced my hybrid battery and still have all the same codes. Cleaned MAF, intake/ tb, car has 454,215 miles so I ordered a new cat manifold combo deal
you don't have a way to show what is inside the catalytic converter
I don't understand you change catalytic converter
It was clogged from oil bypassing the rings common on these vehicles.
