    This is great. You can apply it to other objects too. The key, as you said, is to put the "tip" as the origin, so using the "set origin to 3d cursor" with the cursor at the location fixes issues with that. Thanks.

    How did you select the entire outer edge? I can only select individual lines in the mesh.

    hey for some reason its looking unswirled towards the center no matter what i do to the settings

      Not sure if you still need this but if you're getting some kind of weird swirling towards the center, it's because the object origin is set to the center mass of the cylinder by default. To get the same swirling effect as you see in the video, you want to set the origin of the object to where the 3d cursor is.

    why tutorial videos 60fps? i never understand this? you don't need 60fps? this is not 4k 60fps minecraft or gta 5 gameplay
