  • In this animated lecture, I will teach you about dipole dipole forces and dipole dipole interactions.
    Also, I will teach you about how dipole dipole interact to produce dipole dipole forces.
    Q: What is a dipole dipole force?
    Ans: Dipole Dipole force is defined as "when the positive pole of one polar molecule attracts the negative pole of another molecule due to opposite charges, force of attraction produces between them known as dipole dipole forces.
    For example, the postive pole of one water molecule attracts the negative pole of another water molecule. So dipole dipole forces or dipole dipole interactions exists between water molecules.
    Remember that dipole dipole force i not a chemical bond. It is intermolecular forces between polar molecules.
    To learn more about dipole dipole forces and dipole dipole interactions, watch this lecture till the end.

    This is an extremely effective video in communicating the concept it is trying to convey. The only warning I have for native english speakers (this is not a criticism) is that you could be distracted a little by the accent and speaking style. If you can overcome that you will be able to enjoy a gold mine of knowledge.

    Hello sir, I've been watching your videos recently for my reports and you are an effective teacher. But I'm a bit confused, I watched first your vid about hydrogen bonds before this and you gave the same example which is hydrogen fluoride. And the attracting force between the two hydrogen fluoride there is a hydrogen bond cause they are highly polarized. The same given happen in this vid. When does a hydrogen bond force produce (happen) and when the dipole-dipole forces?

    • @NAJAMACADEMY
      @NAJAMACADEMY  Год назад +2

      Good question..!!👍
      Remember that hydrogen bonding is a type of dipole dipole forces. I mean, every hydrogen bonding is also known as dipole dipole force.
      To learn more, just search it on youtube:
      "Intermolecular forces najam academy."
      It will clear your concept.
