- August 12/2022 . After many requests, (or just one person that asked again and again) I finally jammed 'Maggot brain' by Parliament Funkedelic. I'm in color, the rest are in black and white. 87 minutes! For the original solo, Clinton told Eddie Hazel to play like your mother just died. I played it like live music died, which it did. I can do emotional all day long. All I have to do is look at my surroundings: zombies, drug addicts, homeless, mental cases. For those who don't get it, the thumbnail is the woman from the 'Parliament Maggot brain album cover' put over a pedestrian wearing 70's clothes. Her name was Barbara Cheesebourough and she was the model on the cover of the first issue of 'Essence' magazine in 1970.

This cat is standing on the street.. blowing these fantastic sounds.. and they walk on.. oblivious! In my day.. the 60s.. there'd be fifty or a hundred people.. "freaks".. standing around digging this guy's tunes. And every episode this guys does.. is a lesson for guitarists. Watch and listen and learn.
