The tragedy of Kenth Hamner's tenure as Grand Master (acting) was that he could and would not acknowledge that the other Masters and knights under his authority may have wisdom and insight that he lacked. Even at the end, having been usurped and placed in isolated confinement by the masters, he refused to acknowledge their position, and instead drstroyed himself by attempting to prevent the Jedi from leaving the Temple, afraid of the retaliation of the Chief of State.

A true fall from grace. Very much so similar to the hubris of the Prequel Jedi before him.
