Just wanted to add that the author and a few others reached out to me to note that there is a separate Clone Wars timeline which includes TCW and it’s tie in books/comics/games at the back of the book. I missed it when filming the video. In the main timeline it is just the CWMMP, but both timelines are included, albeit in separate places.
I miss that one EU timeline that had the real awesome illustrations of major battles and turning points. That is how I learned about other Sith Lords like Naga Sadow and Freedon Nadd!
@@starwarsfananimations maybe. I found it at the local Barnes & Noble when AoTC premiered in the theatres. A bunch of dark horse comics and novels were on display. Ypu should have seen by eyes buldge to see more of the EU. All I knew was SoTE.
Thanks for this video. I picked this up digitally. I'm making my way through the Extended Universe novels...which I own most (if not all off them). Great breakdown.
Buying it NOW before they kick it off Amazon. Not like with Heart of the Jedi where I went "Well I'll add it to my Amazon wish list and get it eventually." LOL
Oof that’s a sad story. Fortunately all the files you need to print it yourself privately exist online so it’s still available to purchase for yourself but will certainly cost more than a mass market paperback
As the author, I take a bit of an issue with the term “Disney’s slave name”. I clearly love the EU, but I also love canon. Like it or not, the people who now own Star Wars have rebranded the EU as Legends, and I’ve titled it as such. To do anything else is wishing a reality that doesn’t exist
@@trevordavey1 lmao a reality that doesn't exist would be calling it "THE TRUE STARWARS CANON!" But it WAS reality prior to selling to disney, we have a problem with it because when the creator of the franchise says how wrong they got it the legal ownership of a franchise no longer holds any weight in whether or not the word Canon actually applies to the new product because it isn't in line with the creators vision or has his blessing in the finished product. I can definitely respect that you enjoy dis canon stuff I do too I like squadrons campaign, I like all of jedi fallen order and alot of jedi survivor, I like mando seasons 1 and 2, and I like rogue one, but what you said is such a strange thing it's not delusion, we're literally the only people keeping the flame alive by discussing this talking point, because as it is currently dis canon is performing horribly.

I need some input. I’m not very familiar with the Star Wars old republic era, would this be easy to follow and remember for someone me being new to this time period and legends as a whole? And are there any other books you would recommend to me?
@@starwars.legends.illustrated It’s an easy to follow “excel” sheet essentially which has each moment, when it was released, writer and medium type. Wookiepedia does not have chapter/page/level chronology, as several things have a lot of overlap. Probably the best example in this book is Darth Plagueis as it breaks it up into its constituent parts alongside books and comics such as Jedi Council: Acts of War, Maul books/comics, Jedi Apprentice, Jango Fett: Open Seasons TPM etc. in extreme detail. Wookiepedia just roughly throws it together in complete chunks based on start point
I do prefer that the main Clone wars timeline is just CWMMP, but as the author noted in his other comment, the TCW timeline does exist as a separate timeline in the back which I missed while filming the video

Wow this book looks perfect, a useful guide to fully learn EU timeline even for the ones who knows.
But it looks expensive though
Given how thick it is I’d say it’s reasonably priced, but it is selling at hardcover prices. The content is worth it imo
Where is Truce at Bakura? It takes place right before Heart of The Jedi.
