This is what I learned from my valstrax fight. The hub quest where repelling is an option, when it limps, there’s no way of failing. Never knew that and assumed when it sleeps it recovers more than 50% of its health

I dont remember if you can parry the ambush but i do know you can knock him out of it, its extremely hard but ive seen a video of someone hitting one out of it with the energy blade in CB, i think there are some other weapons that can do it too

Wore the whole Valstrax armor as well to assert dominance (Btw, dunno if its applicable to ls, and if its counted as a parry even but the diving attack can be 'parried' with brave DBs)

1:20 most functioning hunter art I think due to the CRASH INTO HUNTER being quite a large AOE, it may ignore the pretty "facing you only" counters of GU. 5:14 you're at an angle in nearly every attempt of valor counter at that angle you'd definitely not counter it *if* you can. I'm pretty sure I don't remember seeing speedruns attempt to valor counter it either, so uncertain.
