In this clip, Vlad started off speaking about Nia Long addressing the cheating scandal surrounding her former fiancé Ime Udoka, saying that it was devastating for their son to see in the news. John Salley then explained that being in the public eye can be difficult at times, and he added that people forget that famous people are human. John then spoke about his own cheating scandal, which led to him apologizing to his wife and mistress, which he pointed out his wife wasn’t happy about. From there, Vlad switched the discussion to Draymond Green punching Jordan Poole at practice, which John said he’s seen “a lot” during his time in the NBA. John then shared a story about Bill Laimbeer and Mark Aguirre getting into a fight, and John said that Bill backed off when he realized Mark is a boxer. When it comes to Draymond and Jordan, John stated that he thinks Jordan didn’t believe Draymond was going to hit him. John then shared a story about fighting with Bill Laimbeer, which you can hear above.

the funny thing is, if you watch those old games, the Pistons never started fights. lol. they just played mind game and were so physical that the other teams got so mad and frustrated that it led to them lashing out at the Pistons.

Not in this soft era. Back then they let then fight a little bit. Today it's suspension fines counseling community service and anger management classes.
First off, Bill Laimbeer, as much as I hated him, could fight. Which of the divas that play today would go after him? Draymond is half a foot shorter. Bill would destroy him. The guys that would take Bill out don't play anymore. Everyone is soft and are worried about how many followers they have. And with today's rules where they throw you out the game for taunting? No, Bill would get way less punches.
What WOULD change, however, is that Bill could no longer be "the enforcer". The days of having a good NBA career because you're big and can hit someone are over. Bill could hit the outside shot, so I'd see him being Zaza who could actually shoot. Zaza is about as dirty as the league allows.
