I was forced to learn about Google Calendar because I needed a way to organize appointments with my clients. It was frustrating trying to find a You Tube tutorial that didn't make me dizzy with confusing content. Out of all of the available tutorials, this video was not only comprehensive, but it was also designed for people having little-to-no background in Google Calendar. Thank you, Anson. I intend to turn to you for all things Google from now on!!!!
Great tutorial of the google calendar! I have learned most of this over the last 5 years on my own but was struggling with how to share my calendar with other team members. After watching this video I was able to succeed in sharing my calendar. One thing I would add if you are searching for an event in the search bar and your event has a address entered you can search that event by the address. This is very helpful when searching for events when you have a calendar that you have had for years and are trying to find something from the past. Thanks for making this video Anson!
I just got into google calendar myself this video just help make this easy I'm starting school next semester(next year) and I'm starting the year with job nothing important but do appreciate this video its helping me get organized.
This is going to make my life so much more manageable. I was always intimidated and overwhelmed by my computer programs. This was so simple to understand. Thank you 😊
The UI/UX for Google Calendar is an absolute masterpiece in my opinion. So intuitive and sleek while being optionally robust and technical. The event creation dialog starts off being minimalist and lightweight and quickly becomes verbose if it's needed. When I began using it (it's my first digital organizer tool), I felt I mastered it within an hour of tinkering, meaning someone could become a power user gradually over a short time span just by regularly using the app. It's remarkably powerful while maintaining a sleek exterior.
Thanks Anson, very good pacing, clear, and easy to follow. You addressed some confusion I had before. The best tutorial of all the videos I've watched. 👋
Hey, i want to thank you for making this video; I appreciate people like you so so so much who go out of their way to make these videos. According to my holy book, time is short and its brevity teaches us spend it wisely. I have chosen to spend this time with Jesus Christ, who loves me so so much. Im hoping you can use the wisdom in this video to see how Jesus is that wisdom and allows us to live life fully!
Excellent video. I appreciated your very clear and easy to follow instructions, the visual techniques you used and the fact that you did not have any music playing during your instructions. Great job! I am going to share your video with others, so they can enjoy learning about Google calendars without frustration!
I learned good tricks that are necessary to keep track of events, as well as organize my work week. Very informative tutorial Alex. Thank you very much.
This tutorial was so very helpful!!! Thank you -I am subscribed. I have to use Google calendar for my business as well as personal and was struggling with it but your video helped with that. Thank you for making the video simple, to the point and with no extra confusing content.
Your video regarding how to use Google Calendar is AMAZING! You simplify it and make is so easy to understand without being too wordy, the video was timed just right to take in all the important points you highlighted about the use of Google Calendar without information overload. I will continue to view your videos and cannot wait to learn more Goggle features. :)
Thanks for the terrific video. Do you recommend using Google Calendar for a to-do list? And if so, do you have any tutorials for that? Ow, what would you recommend for creating to do lists?
Anson, Thanks so much. So clear to understand. Just one thing : at 17:55 you menton about automatically duplicating events over mulitiple calendars. That is not happening on mine (it chnages the events to be in other calendar). Any possible reasons you can think of? tks!!
I am a guest user in a corporate Google Suite, managing multiple projects across multiple business units. I need advanced guidance for setting up meetings with external invitees, internal invitees, allowing all to join without having to wait for someone to let them in, to give everyone the ability to speak, chat, contribute and to automatically record the calls and send out the link to all attendees with the attendee list, transcript and recording. Please point me to any videos you may have which will help me skill up... our company uses MS Office Suite and Teams so this is new for me.
Thank you Anson for the great tutorial. Can you tell me how to reorganize the calendar list? I want to prioritize how my staff calendars show up on the list, and in calendar view...
Thank u. At last an easy and clear way of using Google Calendar. My question: on iphone to begin can we just click on icon on homepage or must we still have go into the Google calendar
You're welcome, glad to hear it was helpful. As for using GCal on iPhone, I just use the Google Calendar app which you can download from the app store. I believe you can also setup a homescreen widget with the GCal app to have your calendar right on your homescreen. Hopefully that helps answer your question.
Thanks Anson! I set up my Calendar in conjunction with your instructions. Yay!! The one thing I'm concerned about is that my colleagues don't all have gmail accounts. Before clicking on your page, I also have had trouble sharing the Calendar with them? There isn't a SEND button on that category either?
Fantastic and helped with my OCD. Is there a 'To do list' option or similar in Google Calendar that resembles a notepad from which I can take and add to the actual tasks within the scheduled calendar?
hello Anson and thank you for the tips and tricks! One question as I am looking to create an appointment calendar for a friend with nail salon, is there an option once the appointment is created at a specific time to input the mobile number of the customer and automaticly send a reminder message to lets say 6 hours prior to the randevous? thank you in advance
I am trying to find a way to organize our family. It seems some videos suggest a separate account for each family member so I guess they each have their own calendar… but I can also create multiple calendars in my account. When would I want to use a calendar within my own account versus an account I made for my husband? Tat is confusing me.. I manage the family and our events for the most part. Is there an advantage to each person having an account and their personal calendar versus a calendar for each person within my account?
Awesome tutorial and really like color coding the calendars. Wondering if there is a way to use the calendar as a booking calendar for clients off my web site? I thought that I had explored that feature in the past. Thanks.
That's a great question. Yes, this can definitely done. You would have to use a Google Calendar add-on app and, off the top of my head, I don't have one if particular to recommend and wouldn't want to steer you in the wrong direction but you can take a look here and do some Googling to see what other recommend. I will add this to my list of potential topics to cover in the future. Here us the Google Workspace Apps link: workspace.google.com/marketplace/search/?host=calendar
Yes, I have been looking into this too, but appointments are time blocked and described as ‘appointment’ I just need the start time inputted by customer, and the word ‘appointment’ changed to ‘requested time’ or ‘pick up time’
Thanks - I am trying to figure out how to see the events I have for a work calendar that I don’t own, and then see my personal calendar but also have my husband be able to see my work and our joint business calendar and then our family calendar. How can I bring in an ‘outside’ calendar in a way that I can see it, he can see it, and it also isn’t overwhelming?
Thanks for this! I just delete my "name" calendar and change the name of the calendar into: "meeting" and add "fun" etc. somehow it doesn't duplicate my event when i delete an event in one calendar. I also found subscribing to national holiday is confusing so i just type in my holiday manually
Thank you so much Anson for the video. I am trying to add a calendar on my Google calendar app on my mobile phone, but I can't see any provision for that. What do you think is the issue sir ?
Hi Anson, can you advise me how can I set this up in the Google calendar Mon & Wed, Tue & Thu as recurring alternate 2 weeks? Example: Week 1 in the office: Mon and Wed Week 2 in the office: Tue and Thu Week 3 in the office: Mon and Wed Week 4 in the office: Tue and Thu
good video thank you. I wondered if it's possible to color the header for the calendar. I have looked and can't find where it's possible. Color calendars would be so coo!
thank you for the infos. do i still get an "delayed" notification if my mobile phone is off during the time i normally would recieve the notification once my device is turned back on?
How about the different time zones. For example I already organized all the event in my calendar in this specific time zone. Suddenly I travelled across the globe. If i change my time zone in the setting, will the events already set adjust to the time zones I specified? Also if I set the events n my time zone but the guests I invited or shared a calendar link with, will the events reflect on their own timezones not mine?
Thank you for this video. I do telephone prospecting. People ask me to call back at a future date. how can I add many names for the same day in the future to call; something like a task list for that date? So, each day could have several names to call. If I can't reach the person, I want to be able to cut and paste that name to another future date. Is all this possible with Google Calendar? Thanks
You just enable those calendars on the bottom left side of the screen. If you asking about actually moving those events to the primary calendar - that kind of goes against the idea of using multiple calendars. You're free to just use one calendar as well if that works better for your workflow.
@@AnsonAlexander thx for the quick reply ❤. I don't want to move them. Just view all my events in one place. on my phone (Samsung s21 ultra) it's easy I just check the boxes of the email addresses of the calendars I want to show. But Those email addys don't show up as options on desktop though 😢. Suggestions?
Thanks. Great intro. I have a more complicated question. A former admin sent out a google meeting invite for an event that had incorrect date/time. She used the To: with a long list of addresses to send out the incorrect invite. For some reason, the google invite keeps getting resent and the date updated -- but it is still wrong -- and still going to a large group of people. She left a year ago. I don't have access to her gmail account to change the event/stop its recurrence. And she has not responded to requests to delete it. It continues to go out to the whole group. How do I get it to stop???? Thanks.
Awesome, Anson! Now, if you could tell me how to stop Google Calendar from deleting completed tasks on my Android phone, I would truly appreciate it. I occasionally need to know when I completed a task (like a medical appointment, for instance). I used to just scroll through the schedule view to find the entry. Why can't I do that anymore? Is there an app that better suits my needs or do I need to start lugging around a personal organizer again?
Thanks for that tutorial. My boss wants to have a shared work calendar between 3 of us. I've created a specific work calendar and I've sent out the invitation to his work email. He has a couple of work email addresses with Google. He then clicks on the link sent to one specific work email, but when the calendar opens, it opens in his other work account... How do we switch it, so he can access the calendar with the correct email account?? Thanks for your help.

No
Its actually pretty straight forward…
it’s not difficult.
But if you wanna get rid of adhd
best to spend a few more hours to learn the way it works
