Just watched this magnificent beast climbing out directly over my home from Austin Texas enroute to London. It's quite the sight, (and sound) fully loaded and 300 feet overhead.
I have used this to go to sleep nearly every night for the past year. I really like the part where the plane engines go HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH it's very soothing
After a hard day at work, your video puts a smile on my face. Headphones on with music, and those Trent XWB turbofans going, I think I'm being flown, instead of doing the flying. Great video, great info of the flight. The A350 1000 is a great aircraft.
As an avgeek, plane model collector and frequent flyer ( god bless ) i would rate British Airways to a very unspectacular but very safe airline. My flights with them were always nice. I mean no special food or fancy what ever but a very friendly and charming crew. Everyone who thinks English woman are nasty and unpolite i can assure that they are not at all. At least in a BA uniform. Second thing i always think of is the heroic emergency landing in January 2008 in London when a 777-200 ER came from Shanghai with frozen fuel hoses which caused a complete engine shut down. The captain managed it to land on the grass in front of the ILS after a long never ending sail over London. This is something i never forget when it comes to British Airways.

I like to offer a kind word of advice and that would be to have the shade all the way up as it tends to capture less noise than with it down like you had in this film. Welcome to Mississauga! I do not know why it is named "Toronto Pearson" if it is in Mississauga. Here is some proof: There are some "peel region police" stations around the airport. Mississauga is in the peel region.
Thanks for watching! The story behind my Premium Economy flight is that I was upgraded by the gate agent before boarding, free of charge, without me asking first. I try not to make people jealous of that even though it's a one in a lifetime event. The flight was full in economy and there were several families who were traveling together, so they needed my original economy seat (I was traveling alone). I think the bulkhead row is blocked to accommodate upgrades like this.
I've discovered a funny sound that started I believe after the inflight service began that I wonder if it comes from the camera being in the window, or is it somewhere else? It has a funny tone or syfy quality to it, but it may be beyond your control. It's a very minor thing, but perhaps you may know what it is. It didn't change when you put your table down. Oh well.
Great video! Love having this on in the background for some soothing engine sounds! Could I just ask how you mount your camera? I've always wanted to record significant portions of my flights, but not sure how you actually mount your GoPro - and if the crew have any issue with it? Thank you!!
It's the standard GoPro suction cup mount, it is widely available in computers and electronic stores. It is very sturdy though it doesn't really have that many angles of freedom. If you want to record from the cockpit, the NFlightCam mount would be a better choice as it has more angles of freedom (ordered online, great customer service). As for the length of the video, I just plugged it into an external power source on the personal TV USB slot in the aircraft.
Hi, really great video. I film full flights too and I have just purchased a GoPro Hero 8 Black, mainly as a result of this video. I was just wondering about the settings used on the camera so I can achieve the same night quality. I aim to use this camera on a trip between the UK and Toronto/Montreal next month.
I'll be darned!!! Up until now, I've not been a fan of the GoPro, as the audio quality was awful! Did you get a special mic for it, or does it now come with its own stereo mic? This has earned you a subscriber. Being totally blind, I believe that the audio quality should be as important as the visual, especially since monaural (squished between both ears), is not only bad for our ears, but it also can compress the fluid in the inner ear. This is what usually makes people feel like there's a buzzing or even a slight tingling sensation. It also is much worse on the ears, because the narrowness of the sound distorts peoples' hearing and may result in damaged hearing. Now, if we could get everyone else who uses the GoPro to understand this, but that'd be asking too much. Anyway, superb job! I can't wait to hear more of your videos. Seriously, this is the best quality for a GoPro! Thank you so very, very much.
Oh yeah, the GoPro Hero 8 audio quality is a tremendous improvement over previous versions. This was recorded with the default mic, not with any external addon mic.
@@naturallyherb I am surprised, and I must say I'm delighted. I think they got the message loud and clear. It still gets hung up from time to time if you bump something or if it doesn't like something you did, but this is a huge improvement. I'd completely given up on it ever being in stereo, so you can imagine my joy! Now, I've got to tell another channel about it, because that person will have no excuses now for making long flight videos using the earlier versions of the GoPro. I really hope he takes the hint, because if he doesn't, I may just have to unsub from his channel.
@@naturallyherb I'm so glad for the improvement. I've heard videos from other channels who used previous versions of the GoPro, and this is the best news that the default mic is already in stereo. Thank you so much for letting me know about this. I've been really tough on the folks at GoPro, and I've tried to convince other channels that they can improve the audio quality by using the 8 or another camera. One of those no longer puts complete flight videos on his channel, so I'm glad you do. Thank you so very much!
The GoPro is attached on external power, and since there's no sun shining directly, it usually won't overheat too much. I usually change the battery midway through the flight to keep it from being too hot. I also try selecting a seat that is away from the sun as much as possible, I look at the previous flight paths (of this same flight number in previous days) and compare it with the sun position.
Nice! How do you manage to film the entire flight on GoPro? My GoPro 8 Black just turns off after a few minutes. Tell me please what settings do you have?
I connected it to external power through USB cable. My settings were 60 FPS and the ISO was set to auto. Also it's hard to notice but there's about a 1-2 minute gap somewhere in the middle of the video as that was where I swapped SD cards, both of which are 128 GB.
