- You need sleep? I want to sleep to driving in rain for sleep or relaxation. Real highway footage with heavy rain and some thunder. Relax as vehicles pass by during a rainstorm in this vehicle recording. Recorded with a GoPro Black 9 + mic and ZOOM H6 mic.

I want you to sleep to natural sounds for relaxation, meditation, and sleep. Also, use it while doing your homework or just because. Rain sounds can be quite refreshing for your brain. It gives you that calm soothing feeling of relaxation and peace that makes you feel safe. I've been listening to rain since I was 16 yrs old and always felt a connection to its sound. When it first starts from the smell rain exudes to the symphony of distant thunder it emanates. The sound of water droplets falling into puddles and white noise that sends positive vibes throughout my body. Pure relaxation at its finest with deep concentration of thoughts blooming throughout your mind. The raindrops reach out and tickle your soul with each splash that lands. I sleep to it, write to it, use for deep moments of mindful rest, and just as a background ambiance in my every day life. Sleep well everyone.

Oh wow! That sends me right back to childhood road trips! I always fell asleep listening to the rain and hypnotic wiper blades.

Road trips are the best! especially when you don't have to drive.
And when you’re a kid, the back seat is spacious and you can really stretch out.

Riding in the rain when its getting dark or at night is the best. Problem is I'm always the one driving so no sleep for me. I like to crack the window too, so you get a cool breeze and the sound of wind. Perfect.

When I was a kid in the back seat on a long holiday trip.. I used to cover up with a coat but stick my head where the wind blew through the door panel (back in the early 80's lol)
I would be shiverring cold but also snuggled up and the combination of noises made my closed eyes play colour tricks behimd my eyelids and tingles... until I was in a deep trance...

Reminds me of early mornings when my mom would drive me to school. Even back then it felt so nostalgic and relaxing yet also a bit sad when I realized things wouldn't always be this way. I miss being a kid and thank you for giving me a glimpse back to the good old days

This was so relaxing! I just love when the sky is rather dark, but still light enough to see the scenery around you. To me it almost feels like being wrapped up in a blanket for some reason...

tell me about it. I suffer from anxiety, especially when driving in cars near the city when I commute to work, this helps me in more ways than one.
This is the best Driving in Rain video I've found on RUclips. It loops, but there are no over-frequent jump cuts and no sudden black screens interrupting the flow. Another big plus is that the audio doesn't sound like it's stock. In other videos, when other vehicles go by there's no change at all in what we can hear, but in this one we can hear as well as see the other traffic.
Appreciate it, I record everything myself. This one I turned car bass way down and and turned windshield rain sound way up. I drove for an hour on Texas highway, then video starts back to the beginning.

This reminds me of the long road trips of my childhood. We lived in the Midwest, so it was always a drive to get somewhere. In my family, it always ended up with me and my dad as the only ones awake, watching as we passed semis and farm trucks, heading down the road. I miss that time. I don’t live there anymore, so I no longer take those road trips. Thanks for taking me back, DreamWorld.

Before I knew vids like this existed, years ago I made a rain vid myself using a weather cheat code in gta: san andreas with heavy rain, the brightness dimmed, and talk radio lightly playing in the background. I still have it to this day.

i like this because im an introvert and haven't been out of the house in many months. So when i watch this i can pretend i have a friend that is taking me on an adventure and makes me feel alive. I dont sleep cause im too excited on seeing the journey of the outside.

This last year I spent a lot of time driving long distances just to get out of my comfort zone. One thing I learned and still amazes me is how much distance you can cover in a day. For some reason travelling always seemed like this HUGE deal to me. full of anxiety. never comfortable, to the point I couldn't really eat on the road. But after 2 or 3 trips I felt better and better. Now I absolutely love just waking up super early, drive 6 hours and camp out for the weekend. I've been all over my state now and have seen so much more in one year than I did in almost a decade. Get out and do something while you can folks. In a few hundred miles a LOT can change.
Is that the point? I like it. I am glad it relaxes other people enough to sleep!! And influences people to love mother nature!!

I live in Austin and I noticed he was driving from San Marcos to Austin. I watched about an hour of it and wondered why he wasn't in Austin yet. Then I started skipping through the video and realized he has San Marcos to just after Kyle on a continuous loop! I thought I was losing my mind. After 8 hours driving north on I-35 he would already be in Dallas at the end of the video! 😭😆

I've watched this the last few nights, so I haven't been awake for the whole ride... BUT every exit is an exit I have driven through! Seriously! I have taken this route a few times in my life, and now I'm several states away... so even when I wake up, it is pure nostalgia for me. Yes, it has helped me sleep, but I'm enjoying every second of the drive too.

We lived in Europe when I was young. I would fall asleep in the back of our VW Squareback listening to the rain and wipers, which were much louder in the early 70s. We travelled from Spain, to Germany, through Switzerland, Italy, and we hit dozens of spots on mainland Great Britain.

Yep, and when I was in 8th grade, I rode the city bus to school, and it would rain quite often in the spring. I felt like grabbing a blanket and going back to sleep right there on the bus.
I appreciate the real footage aspect here. There's bunch of fake ambient videos with short segments repeating in a loop. Real footage is hard to find and, in my experience, has a much better effect.

Crazy! Not long into a video I have never watched and a channel I never watched, to see the freeway exit to my house. Plus this was the same route I just took 10 minutes ago. But today was 103. I wish it was raining.

this helps with my anxiety and racing thoughts. I have adhd, so it is difficult to concentrate. This video is unique. It has something calming about it that makes me pay attention more. I could sit in my lazy boy chair and watch this on my tv for a while and it helps me relax.

Hi! So I just want to thank you for this video. I failed my first nursing exam 2 months ago and so I had to study the whole syllabus from scratch by myself during the summer break. Also I have untreated ADHD, but I found this particular video of rain sounds really helped me focus on my studying. Today I went to take the test again and I passed! :) thanks again

There are few things that relax me more than subtle sounds, natural ones especially. rain falling onto asphalt or metal, the sound of someone shining a shoe or cleaning a window (dont judge till ya listen to it), or even someone simply writing or drawing on a piece or paper. life is so busy, bustling, and stressful, we often overlook the most amazing yet simple things in life. sometimes you need to just sit or lay down for a moment, close your eyes, let your mind wonder into a place where only you can go... And this kind of stuff, the sounds that so perfectly open you up to its lulling embrace... This is so much better than simply trying to force yourself to relax, which can be more stressful than helpful.
Cool. It reminds me of the many trips I took by car, in the rain, at night. Especially when driving long distance from one country to another. The sound of the rain had a soothing, calming effect. But one definitely had to be more focused while driving.

Hello, it is real, I recorded my drive from San Antonio Tx to Austin Tx which took about 1 hour. I added some rain from my other rain in car recordings to enhance the sound. In future I plan to follow the storm for hours longer with the help of backup batteries. Appreciate the comment my friend!!
I was always misunderstanding these - I thought they were AUDIO only... Wow !!! So glad I checked it out & found out it's a dreamscape of driving... I lost my nerve for driving, so this is fantastic ! 😎

Interesting this really does put me to sleep because you're driving through New Braunfels on your way to Austin a drive I've made many times in my life. And when I was a kid my grandfather would drive me back to Austin every Sunday night and fall asleep right about where you are In the beginning of this video
