- Hey guys! Im back with probably my favorite video ever! My long awaited Carhartt DETROIT Jacket collection!!
I have been collecting these jackets for years now and since making my last video about my Carhartt Active jackets, I have collected a couple more from this design and figured its finally time to make a long and detailed video about these puppies!
I still can't believe how many of these jackets I have! LOL I surprised myself as I was gathering them all for these videos. Can you tell I am a fan of Carhartt?? Someone contact them @carhartt and tell them to give me a deal or a sponsorship! :)

Love your video. Just got my first Detroit jacket - new old stock from '72 before they added the Detroit cuff. Tried on a 2023 version in multiple sizes and it didn't fit right but the vintage fits perfectly. Thanks for making this!

Anyone know what jacket was interstellar? Was it a j001 brn?
@@roadkxll_ it’s hard to tell because you can’t really see if the collar is corduroy or canvas - it’s definitely a Detroit but I’m not too sure of the model
@@jbv6052carhartt themselves said it was a “RNj001” at some point? What I do know for a fact is that his jacket is definitely not lined, kinda like your moss one in the 3rd video. Does that mean the RNj001 is the same as the j001 except without the lining?
@@roadkxll_ honestly I’m not too sure- I’ve heard that the fit of the j001 is tighter, more tailored and the rnj001 is your regular fit. I think the one from the movie though is a regular j97 brown because I think the collar is corduroy (upon looking closely at images from the movie 😅)
@@jbv6052 it is corduroy but I don’t believe it’s a j97 because the logo is the cloth not leather. Looks like the patch is stained probably to make the brand less noticeable but to me it looks like the cloth patch
@@roadkxll_ yea your definitely right about that!!
I did find information on the jacket from the movie and it seems that it was custom made! That it was a j97 but custom fit and custom made with a cloth tag instead of the leather.
I hope that helps because i definitely had to do some digging myself to find the info 😅😂

@@owen0842 gotcha- currently I only have two like that- I have the blue active and the redwood southwest bomber. It’s like the Santa Fe but no hood
