The $500 motorcycle challenge is back, and this time, the crew is going racing. In this new challenge, our team heads to Juab Xtreme Racing, an intense and unforgiving extreme enduro race in Nephi, Utah. The gnarly track and sizable purse typically attract riders like Colton Haaker, but we were attracted by the race’s all-new vintage class. This time around, it’s not about survival, it’s about whose bike is taking the top step of the podium. From scavenging for parts at Bill's Boneyard and hosting our own "Enduro Olympics" to test riding an Endurocross pro's track, this series is a wild ride from start to finish.

Who's everybody? I think you're imagining what others expect of you. There are lots of boots for way under $500.
I got my 2007 crf150f for 800 CAD$ and it came with gear for an extra 50$, so I got a chest protector, 2 pairs of pants, boots, and a jersey all for 50 CAD$, sometimes just buy used stuff to have some fun

Lol. Yeah that bike has seen better days! My to-do list was about two pages long, so we definitely saved this bike from going to it's grave.

Yes! Very high quality video series! I rewatched the 5 miles of hell and continue to share that content to riding buddies. I'm hoping one day they will ride the dirt with me. I've already baptised and converted one. We got ourselves DT125s that we are working to improve the riding performance.
Idsel Seno y’all got me beat last bike I had I was 15 I’m now 45 sorry to say I lost all my friends when I was young as well the only advice I can give is hang onto your friends and enjoy riding it’s something I may never be able to do again at least I have the memories I guess
You guys should do a video on how to check if a used bike like those under $500 are in still proper condition to ride,just like a tutorial in what to check on used bikes before buying.

This a great series, I guess for me it's because it's about some of the bikes I grew up with. Great stuff! My Love is my 83 xl600r.
Yeah!!! The '83 XL600R! That bike is awesome for it's intended use and goes pretty good out in the desert, but it's definitely heavy for enduro racing!

@@rmatvmc I would have to agree, for my intended use, mainly desert, and fire roads, it is great. For enduro racing, one word comes to mind, masochist. Awesome series, all of you were great, it looked like alot of fun, but it can't be ignored that it had to be a lot work. Thanks for sharing.

Hey, Im from colorado and i have just recently struck a deal on a yamaha tw200, but was hoping to get a 125 2-stroke or a 450 4-stroke. My father owns a towing company and emileo towed a guy from rocky mountain racing one time and emileo gave me the hat, glasses, and shirt you gave us! Ride on!

My friend Ed road a 79 XR 500 he called torque pig.
Torque pig, thats all he ever heard, how he learned to hate the word.
He could fly on any bike.

Thanks! That bike was a lot of work. It would have been nice to fix up a lighter bike, but that one was the best bike available within the budget. All things considered I think it turned out pretty good! I just wish I could have ridden better! -Charles

Honda XL600R hell yeah! Recently bought one out of '87 myself. Its a bit heavy for cross I guess but with the dual carb setup you've got endless power.
Oh man I bought a 1975 Suzuki 185 with the same issue on the kick starter. You have to take the entire engine apart. The catch for the gear is on the inside of the transmission. But it’s a good time to check everything.
