I am no radio guy at all but after a lot of looking around ,I found a company Bobs automotive Mirrors, that makes a plug that plugs in by the kick panel. Plug an play no cutting no taking the car apart , he also makes a split screen plug.
@@trueblue6070 I ordered this part Part Number: 600020-ADP C For my 2012 Silverado. By the emergency brake pedal there is a plug you unplug a plug the new cable into a run it over to your radio screen or was on my vehicle.
I have the same setup on my 2012 Silverado and am wanting to take the camera view from the mirror to the radio unit. Thought maybe there might be a plug on the steering column.
I got everything hooked up perfect in my Chevy traverse just like you but my deck has a wire that says reverse and I don't know what to do with it. I have the RCA just like you do but there's that extra wire?
Questions: I currently have a backup camera with my mirror, so if i split two connections from the camera and run the same lead to the mirror can I run a new lead to my new android headunit and it work on both screens, theoretically I don't see why it wouldn't
Exactly what I needed for my 2013. Fyi, the power button on the mirror turns of the backup camera in the rear view mirror. At least on my truck, it does. I thought it was to turn off auto dim, but no, just the camera.
Hey how’s it going bro I also have a car audio retail shop in Pennsylvania I just got into doing installation and your video has help us get are job done faster, the only problem I have is that I don’t have a software that I can let us know the Color codes for the wires,if you can really help me out I would really appreciated…
Just checking, it is the wires that feed into the male end of the wiring connector that I should be tapping into? Also, I assume you unplugged the connector only while doing the install and then plugged it back in?
Yes unplug install and replug the mirror was still an active auto dimming mirror that needs power we just need to reroute the video signal, also the video signal was going into the male plug so cut it and use the wires not attached to the plug
I am trying to tap into the backup cam In my mirror on a 2014 Z71 Chevy Tahoe so it will also show on my in dash screen. I see that the blue and white wires have been taped up at the mirror. Are those the wires I should tap into? I can send a picture if needed
Hey how can i hook up a aftermarket master tailgater rearview mirror to a aftermarket tailgate rearview camera on a 2005 Toyota Tacoma prerunner thanks
I put an OEM Nav radio in a 2011 Buick Enclave. I want to move the image from the mirror to the Nav unit. No RCA plug on the factory unit. I suspect there is an easy way to connect these.
Could you help me please for my 2008 f350 please? I have a ivc kw1000 I want to split the signal so it stays on mirror but also shows up on my radio Any help would be greatly appreciated sir.
I was doing this . Problem is the camera feed on the head unit is grainy and has white horizontal lines lots of noise. What's the reason for this and how can I get a clearer picture.
Aye bro I made a rookie mistake and cut my stock stereo harness while installing a stereo and realized it has two ground wires and two constant power wires it’s a stock 2003 Dodge Ram harness how should I hook up the power and ground? Can I just use one wire or do I connect the two grounds wires and two constant power wires two one wire each
i would use both of them just to be on the safe side but to be honest 1 should be enough as long as it has 12volts of constant power but it maybe a low current wire which is why there is 2 of them
Been watching your install video for the last hour! Thank you for such clarity, bro.
Anytime man I'll keep uploading ro help everyone out
Is there a way to split the camera to play on the mirror and the radio?
Thanks!

How do you get the wires from the rear view mirror down to the radio?
I have the same setup on my 2012 Silverado and am wanting to take the camera view from the mirror to the radio unit. Thought maybe there might be a plug on the steering column.
Think you could keep it on the rear view mirror and add it to the head unit with a splitter?

I have 2010 f 350 Lariat dually. I don’t see your patron page so I can ask you what color wires do I need to tap into for my truck
So you don't need the AX-CAM6V like you show in other videos?
This is what I’m wondering.. what did you tap into so the head unit changes to the rear view camera when it’s in reverse?
Like what you did .where did you run the wire to hide
Thank you brother. Needed to help a buddy do this exact thing.

@jptheinstallguy do you have a video showing how you ran your wires from the mirror to the headunit

Great video. Do you have a video on changing the cigarette lighter ports to work with the ignition for this same 2009 Chevy Tahoe?

Do you show actual wiring diagram?
Where do you run the RCA wire to the back of the radio? up near the windsheild and down the driver side?
Same question.
What gauge wire did you use ?

I would think using coaxial cable (shielded) instead of twisting 2 wires might work better.

Sucks you wouldn't at least say of the colors on a 2010 traverse are the same. I want to do this myself
Thanks for nothing. Pink and blue for anyone that wants to know.
Thanks man. Good video
