It's nice to see a Quahog resident who isn't an asshole for a change! Aside from Ida, we haven't really had another genuinely good person on the show since Jillian left.
As much as family guy likes to make fun of gay people, I actually think they do incredible jobs of portraying LGBTQ+ characters. Ida and Bruce are some of the nicest people in the show, and represent trans people and gay people respectively. Mr Herbert is a little bit less likeable, but not everyone can be perfect!
