I would love to be able to see an update on this little guy in the future to see how the hoof structures re generate, the line between frog and sole is so blurred it would be fascinating to watch them grow back
Lord have mercy! Those poor hooves!! I love your videos, so excited for the new upload! You do amazing work and your explanation of your work is so helpful.
That little guy is so patient! A part of me says that, "We do not deserve these animals. They are too good for us." Thank you for helping that little donkey. "He's a real trooper." I hope he heals up well.
Thank you for helping this little mini donkey walk again without pain. I wish all corners of the world had access to farriers/hoof doctors with your skills. These are life changing procedures.
Oh my days! That poor little fellow, you are so so kind for working on him, you said what I was thinking watching, that farriers don't like working on Mini's, cause they're too difficult to work on, just because they're small, they still deserve to loved and cared for properly, he will feel so much better now, hopefully he can find a loving forever home, take care guys 👍💙
TBH I feel like this *is* a rescue donkey. There's a plethora of supposed "feel good stories" about animals [particularly livestock or wild] living in pain or distress, but presented as "surviving against all odds". Anything from the dodo comes to mind.
Danke für deine Arbeit, ein wären mehr Menschen wie Du auf dieser Welt dann wären nicht so viele Tränen, vielen lieben Dank und herzliche Grüße aus Frankfurt 🩷🙏🙋♀️
I have a suggestion that might make the Ferrier more comfortable when working with the small donkeys & ponies- How about building an elevated platform? Build a ramp to walk them up. Fence off opposing sides w/hinged gates that can be opened to which ever hoof is being worked on- just a thought… I so enjoy these videos! The patient, kind farriers addressing the needs of these animals is heartwarming. Thank you❤
Love your kind process on this sweet little guy. And he must surely feel so much better.😁🐎💕 Would you please keep us in the loop as he progresses? Thank you in anticipation!😁😉
I never seen a farrier do the heels first on neglected hooves like this. I've seen farriers do the toe first then the heel. Happy to see this little guy got his hooves trimmed! I hate seeing neglect like this! I have seen a lot worse cases! Unfortunately not all of those horses or donkeys have a chance for a better life! Thanks to founder or other leg issues, because their owners didn't care.
happy this donkey got attention today. I wish we could have seen all four hooves being done. But I get the idea with the one being done. How did the donkey fare after all four were done? I hope we can follow this story til it's back to as close to normal as possible.
From all the mud balls on that pony he has only been able to lay down for long periods of time. How sad for him. Was the person who brought him a new owner? Or a long time owner who finally had their conscience kick into gear. You do great, kind work and teach as you work. I will never be a farrier but I sure appreciate your work.
Can you put them on a table like large breed dog grooming. .Build a. Longer ramp to walk them up, not to high just about a foot or more. You can put sides on it too. . just idea to save your back.😊
Would love to get a bit more video with these major cases. Like of all his hooves being fixed, shoes fitted, how he walked on them after and follow ups 6 months down the line ❤️
Before you said a word I thought to myself that he had way too much heel and that would be important to address. I love learning from your videos even though I haven’t been on a horse in years.
Great Video, I'd love to see him/her finished all round..like the whole 4x feet finished. You need to train a "small person" to be a Farrier for all the tiny horses and donkeys😁💙🐴💜
That poor donkey, that ain't right! Animals can't tell us when they're in pain, thank you to all the furriers who tend to the hooved babies and keep them healthy!
I wonder if, under natural conditions, a horse's hooves will naturally wear down and become normal hooves. From South Korea Asia.. It is a really awsome job for this little pony.
Awww poor little guy! It looked so uncomfortable the way he was walking at first. I can only imagine it’d be like having a pair of horribly twisted and lumpy pair of shoes glued to your feet. Well, at least attention can keep him a bit more comfortable.
Understanding how difficult and uncomfortable it is for the average height farrier to trim these little animals, have you considered building a stand/ stock for the little equines to use? Something similar to a wider sheep or goat stand with sides to prevent stepping off, and adjustable height. One could even add rubber mats for animal comfort in these particular circumstances.
Please give us an update on this little guy. I know you mentioned he will likely have a twist in his hoof for the rest of his life, but hoping that he has improved.
Question? I don't expect a response from the trimmers himself. I know it's a traditional way of hoof care in equine, but do you use a hoof grinder like used in cattle? Note: I don't want anyone else's response to this Thank you.
You always cut heal and toe not cutting the toe if the hoof is over grown and it can be done in short times and if they are tiny horse you can train them to lay down then you can cut their hoofs while they are down on the ground and if you train them to be quiet while they are down on the ground and you can train mini horse to lay down when they are a foals
Is there an option of laying them on their side in some hay or a stall so the weight isn't on the bad feet and you can get to the hooves easier? Not sure just asking.
Out of curiosity, why is it that you do one hoof fully and then move to the next? I just wonder because it was stated that standing solely on the still distorted hoof could likely be uncomfortable, so why not flatten out both hooves and then move on? Or is this method use for the educational purposes of the video?
I would love to be able to see an update on this little guy in the future to see how the hoof structures re generate, the line between frog and sole is so blurred it would be fascinating to watch them grow back
I agree. Update videos would be instructive & interesting

Poor sweetheart! So thankful for you and the work you do to correct these neglected animals! Can’t wait for the other front hoof work!
Thank you for helping this little mini donkey walk again without pain. I wish all corners of the world had access to farriers/hoof doctors with your skills. These are life changing procedures.
the relief this little guy is given is joy !
Amen
What a beautiful little donkey! He was incredibly patient as you worked on his feet.

Poor little guy. I hope he is in rescue. It was great to see you work your magic and help him.

Poor little guy! Great job done! I'm sure this little nibble will heal soon ❤

I agree and think they’re called stanchions.
Love your kind process on this sweet little guy. And he must surely feel so much better.😁🐎💕

Oh that poor baby.... 😢 You can tell how incredibly uncomfortable he is. I am so glad you are able to help these babies.

A professional makes the thing an art.
Some of the best art Ive seen in awhile.
Interesting, entertaining, and enlightening.
(thank you, Sir)
Poor lil guy! Thank you so much for helping all of these poor equines.
@Girlwiththedogs, can we send you to Idaho to wash a donkey?
That little guy has to feel so much better. It's sad he was allowed to get in such a condition. Thank you for making it right.

Love the videos and what you do! Please don’t stop posting :)
I'm glad to see you posted. I learned some today.
You are truly a gift. Happy New Year!
Poor, little guy! I'd love to see him when he has both feet done ❤️
Ya that's what a table is good for . That was easy . But glad to see you care enough to help this animal. So thank you
So glad you decided to teach!!!! Bless you!❤️

Such a pretty baby. Must be in so much pain poor thing ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Can you put them on a table like large breed dog grooming. .Build a. Longer ramp to walk them up, not to high just about a foot or more. You can put sides on it too. . just idea to save your back.😊
Oh wow the misery of the poor donkey .glad you are giving him some care. People should not have then if they can't care for them!💕👍
That little donkey has some darn hard hooves. His hoof gave your rasp a run for its money. The before and after is just incredible though.
It’s amazing to me that the natural surfaces these guys travel on result in That Much wear over time!
Grfand job, as always. All the best for 2024.
You did a great job of helping that poor donkey and I know he will walk a lot better now and thank you for helping him.

Wow! Such improvement! Thank you for sharing.🐴
Poor little donkey, I hope he is doing well now and in sweeter pastures.

Miniature donkeys can be so sweet. Poor baby.
Love your videos, they are the best!
I know that little guy is going to be a happy camper!

Почему этот малыш такой милый 😍 спасибо что смогли ему помочь ❤

You are the donkeys, Saviour

Something similar to a wider sheep or goat stand with sides to prevent stepping off, and adjustable height. One could even add rubber mats for animal comfort in these particular circumstances.
And a couple belly-bands to take the weight off the affected feet.
You did a great service for that tiny burro
I would love to give that donkey a good brushing. Hope someone does. The hoof looks so much better now and I hope we can get a follow up.
me too! That little guy deserves a spa day, being pampered. Poor baby probably laid down a lot due to his twisted ankles 🥲
Admiral work
This was a hard one to watch, that poor little one. I would have loved to see all hooves done. Why are only the front hooves so twisted?
Je mi hrozně moc líto udělejte mu radost potřebuje umiti a krásné učesat je to chlapík díky mistře Česko Míchal 🇨🇿🇨🇿🖕😎
Poor critter's right leg is awfully swollen. Could that be from an infection from the bloody sore above the hoof?
My farrier (i had minis, shetland and welsh) was about 5' 4". She is still practicing, as far as i know.
Glad he came to u to be fixed 😊
I hope you can get him normal again.❤
Yea but just because u can't get comfortable to keep up with animal doesn't make it a excuse to not help them I'm glad u can help this donkey
That made me wince just looking at it. Poor little guy. 😢
Building a small crush like they use for cows would be prefect for these little guys. Lifts them up and makes their hooves easier to deal with...
You guys are great
Beautiful work ❤
Poor thing, he didn't want the camera looking at his lil hooves...lol
Please give us an update on this little guy. I know you mentioned he will likely have a twist in his hoof for the rest of his life, but hoping that he has improved.
Why were his hind hooves perfectly trimmed? Were they done previously and not filmed? Are overgrown hind hooves easier to correct?
Good job!!
what a beautiful donkey ❤
so sad to see it like this 😭
Hey, where do all these NEGLECTED Horse’s and Pony’s, Donkeys COME FROM!!!
That must be so hard on their feet . The strain on the bones and joints in their feet. Poor thing.
As someone with bad feet it breaks my heart to see these animals in such pain. I know whats it like to have every step be very painful.
Part of the satisfaction of these videos are to see the horse or donkey walking or running around after that fyi. So would be nice if you showed that
I don’t understand why owners of horses / donkey neglect their animals so much; that’s so cruel.
I hope that Parmesan didnt go to waste! I have a pizza ready and waiting for some delicious flavor dust.
You guys seem to do enough minis & smaller donkeys, you should build a platform for them to stand on. It'd make it easier on everybody...
I would love to know who trims the hooves of wild horses ???
Equines that live wild travel for miles every day and wear their feet naturally. Ones with bad feet tend not to survive.
i think because they are always running around, all day on lots of different terrain/ ground is what helps them keep their hooves trimmed :)
This poor baby 😥❤
Question?
I don't expect a response from the trimmers himself.
I know it's a traditional way of hoof care in equine, but do you use a hoof grinder like used in cattle?
Note: I don't want anyone else's response to this Thank you.
That poor little guy 😢
Don’t know why but always feel so sorry for donkeys 😢
Is there a sling type thing like dog groomers keep the weight off the hooves while u work?
perfect, thank you ! please - all 4 hoofes ready .. bitte alle 4 Hoofe zeigen, danke

Needs a good bath.Hope you show us a follow-up video.❤❤❤ Thank you😊
Radical video.
You need a table like they use for dog grooming
I am curious why the back feet have been trimmed but not the front feet
Poor thing. Who allowed this to be
