@@SuperRambo111 This video shows the guy fixing these horses that had been neglected for a long time. Fixing the hoofs perfectly isn't easy, I think they did a pretty good job at restoring them
I volunteer for a local farm animal rescue/sanctuary. A little more than a year ago, we took in an older pony from an auction about this size who had been severely neglected and had hooves curled up just like this. It has taken pretty much this whole year of regular corrective hoof trimming with a very knowledgeable farrier for his feet and body to more or less recover, and he still may never be perfect. After all, when their hooves are angled like that, especially for so long, it messes up their muscles, tendons, joints, etc., and they can be quite sore for a while - they have to essentially re-learn how to walk correctly. He kind of shuffled around at first, but he is doing much better now. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job with these ponies, and I'd be curious to see the progress they make. Hopefully they make a full recovery and are cared for properly the rest of their lives. It's so sad to see this kind of thing happen when it's preventable.
I loved seeing how kind you folks were to these ponies. While you worked, the people holding the pony were making sure the little guy knew things were alright. I'm sure the ponies appreciated how you all worked hard to make the process calm and easy
It's like watching a sculptor working on a block of stone - they can see the finished piece in the stone. This Farrier is looking at a mass of curved and twisted material and seeing the proper hoof in amongst it. It's almost as much an art as a science! VERY happy ponies.
In many ways you are fortunate. At least these ponies were tame. I adopted an abandoned, abused pony about 3 years ago. It took more than two of those for me to get her to trust me enough to be able to catch her, much less work on her feet. Even a trip to the vet for sedation failed to stop her from kicking. Getting her used to being handled and having her feet worked on took a lot of effort but, with a lot of patience and commitment, I'm happy to say that things eventually worked out and I now have a fairly trusting, healthy pony with 4 good feet.
It's people like you and others that selflessly and with tenacious spirit that give these beautiful animals their lives back. It's hard to comprehend that there are those pathetic losers called owners to allow this to happen. Behavior that goes beyond obtuse but downright *&^%$#!!!!! God bless ya'll for your work and devotion. It was obvious in the after photos?... Their disposition was plain to see, HAPPY HAPPY I would have given everything to have been there soothing and loving these little, " Three Musketeers" LOL :)
My horse says hi (: You've got this, as a 15 yr old who struggles with depression and anxiety, I know how hard it can be. I'm not just saying you got this for no reason because you really got this. I love you ❤ And you are loved and worth it.
These ponies are so lovable, I’m glad they were rescued and taken care of. I’d love to see longer videos and follow ups if you have access to the horses. Beautiful job on the hooves. ❤
Wish I could upvote this video a million times, those poor little ponies looked so sad and in pain before, and after your good work they looked happy to be pain free and standing proud -- as they were born to be!
@@user-bx7nw1ve6y I've had a couple of horses which would not tolerate it. Foot on the knee. We had an excellent farrier who had a waiting list two years long. Three at once. Thanks for helping them. Twisted hooves, unable to balance well, that was a great idea to lay them down. Impressive work as usual. They all had a much better chance to balance, walk again.
I loved how you explained what you were doing and the reason why. The compassion and care for these ponies was great! The before and after shots of their hooves was good to see. No more rocking motion. Great job!
Special beds, massages, and pedicures…..AND they can walk normally for the first time in ages! Ponies must imagine they are super special for their spa day!
These poor babies omg, I just wanna hug them so tightly 😩🥲 how anyone could neglect such precious creatures is just beyond me. Thank you for helping to restore their hoof health so they don’t suffer anymore!
Bless you all for helping these adorable guys out. What kind of ******* do this to animals. Total neglect. Imagine the pain. Thank you on behalf of the ponies.
This brings back memories of two small ponies I had years ago which came to me with slippered hoofs, one so bad that my vet said that if he hadn’t known I was working on fixing her feet he would have put her down on the spot. I miss those ponies.
Marvellous job!!! Thankyou.!!! Those poor ponies. They didn't deserve all the days and years of pain to just stand.. never able to run. Thankyou again.
I swear the look of joy in their eyes is enough to make me cry. God bless those sweet ponies, and please put them in a good home with someone who will give them the proper care they need. IJMN, amen.
Loved the work but wish it had been longer to see the process of getting them to lay down or however you manage to work on their feet. Even the little guys need help. You did a great job! Happy new year!
@Linda Arbogast Horse person here--they probably brought in a vet to give them a light tranquilizer before they laid them down. The ponies are probably around 36" tall and weigh around 350 lbs, so two guys could lay them down. I had a Shetland and practically had to get on my knees to trim my pony. I couldn't get a farrier out to come out for one pony so I had to learn to trim him myself. It is a sin to let them get that long!!!! 🤨
@@bwenluck9812 thanks for the info. I have seen doc Pol tranquilize horses in the past just not ponies or miniature horses. I was curious how the whole process was done.

Awwwww, poor little things. By their hooves and general appearance they are obviously being neglected. At least they’re not starving and have obviously being fed. I hope their circumstances become better. They’re adorable little things. Having their feet done should make them feel much better.

Are any of the owners who neglect their horse ever charged for animal cruelty? This is cruelty.
Just sitting here in Sydney wondering the same thing. Prosecutions should be flying and barred from owing any animals in the future
They should be made work beside this guy while in jail
They’re probably rescues.
