I want to thank you for holding up your projects long enough that i can get a really good look at them! i had never heard of sara guermani and i now i want to stitch one of her charts - the Christmas village putting on the Nativity had my eye -it's called "we wish you a merry Christmas" and it's a big one - 354x190!
    Is it safe to assume that the catherine theron chart for the irish blessing was a class exclusive? my heritage is irish and i'm looking for the perfect sampler!

    Enjoy your long floss tube. Not feeling well today and appreciate the WIP parade. Totally agree with your Soap box. There is so much negativity in the world why do people make negative comments.. It isn't anyone's business on the amount of projects a person has, that's between you and your husband. I enjoy seeing everything and want to stitch it all. It's neat to see the types/color of fabric and floss changes and the world of charts. I don't have a local shop and can only purchase online. I have only been stitching since August 2023 and I am nearly 58 years old....loving it. I always wanted to learn how to cross stitch. I asked how many projects you have only to follow your rotation progress on certain charts.

    Brenda I’m pretty sure you are the most prolific stitcher on Flosstube!!! Wow, just wow! May I ask how many hours a day you stitch? I feel like I stitch a fair bit but my progress is a pittance in comparison 😆😆Just curious! Thank you
    Marissa from 🇨🇦

      Thank You Marissa!! On a week day I usually get about 4-5 hours between work and bedtime. On Saturdays I may get 8-10 hrs, and on Sunday maybe 6? And then vacation days off work are like Saturdays, lol. I will choose stitching over any other social activity and my husband is quite busy with two jobs and is very understanding of my passion, lol. My whole goal in life is to get all my other responsibilities done as efficiently as possible so I have more time to stitch!!!! It is my happy place, and where I find peace :)

    Thank you for sharing all your WIPs. Love your range of designs, floss, and fabrics. I usually stitch on 40 ct…would Sulky 12 wt or Silk4U work on that or be too heavy? Can’t wait to see how your stitching plans work out☺

    • @Handworkmaniac
      @Handworkmaniac  7 месяцев назад

      Thank You Connie!! I have used Silks4U on 40ct and 46ct and it is gorgeous. My "The New Normal" piece was Sulky 12 wt on 40 ct and I thought it looked great. Some people think it is too crowded on 40ct. Also, mine was on 40ct Antique White, so it was a true 40ct. Usually the fabric shrinks a little if it is overdyed and would make it closer to an actual 43-44ct. Which probably would be too small for Sulky 12wt.

    I´ve not finished watching, but I already love how many different kind of projects you have! And I watched you doing "Pandemic" in this gorgeous colors so long now I copied your idea entirely und ordered the same threads for my Longdog Sampler. Since I´m from Germany it wasn´t expensive at all. I just loved the look so much and the idea of doing all the animals in a different color. Thanks for all the inspiration and for showing your wonderful work!

    Hi Brenda - I would very much like to know which Dinky Dyes threads you used for the water in Serenity Harbor. It's my New Year, New Beast start this year (once I get the right count & size of fabric!! I've ordered it 3 times now). I do love the water "puddles" you stitched. Also, Stitch New England shop had the full 12 pattern kit for Serenity Harbor if anyone is looking for it :)

      Hi Melanie!!! Most of the water in mine is stitched with Dinky Dyes "Gum Leaves", and the darker parts around the edge are stitched in Dinky Dyes "ocean pines". Yay!! So excited you get to start it, and thanks for the tip on where people can buy it!!!

    Happy New Year! I have enjoyed watching you complete all your projects over the last few years. Has it really been that long!? I recently received Kingdom of Books kit and I was wondering if you would be so kind as to share the English translation of the books? I had thought about leaving the titles off but since you have the translation I would add them. I'm going to stitch my project on 18 count aida that is motled with grey. It reminds me of clouds. I live in Alaska so we see lots of clouds. Thank you for providing content. Your stitching is inspirational to me. 🎉😊
