How many of you are trying to reach through your screen and pluck that stray thread from Brenda’s hair???
I think she was gardening before filming
I didn't even see it. Now I do... 🤭
That happpens to me all the time.
You are not a true cross stitched until you have thread in your hair.believe me I know.
Giggling!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE I didn't see that in the screen when I was filming, lol!!! It was the very first thing I saw when I watched the playback. Good Grief, lol. At least you know I am a real person, lol!
I love your eclectic taste in both fabrics and threads! You get so much stitching done! Amazing!
Thank You Kim!
Your stitching is beautiful. Your little tiny village in the garden is adorable. I want to shrink myself down & live there !!!!
Thank You!! LOL, I definitely love tiny yardwork, trimming, etc, as opposed to my actual yard, LOL!!
Hi Brenda as always your stitching projects are beautiful 😍 and I love watching your flosstube. Have a wonderful summer break filled with lots of fun rest and lots of cross stitching time 🎉🥳😘🌻
Thank You!!
Oh my word… I love that bear looking in the tent… so cute.
You have so much impressive progress on so many beautiful, intricate, enormous projects. I am in awe! I love your American Sampler. I enjoy rice stitches, but queen stitches, not so much. Soooo much progress on Serenity Harbor. Looks great. Your Prairie Schooler Alphabet will be a masterpiece. I loved your whole video.
Thank You Tami!!
На 18:27 вышивка, которую я уже закончила. Нити подбирала самостоятельно, очень понравилось. У вас очень много проектов, каждый в своей сумке,это потрясает. Спасибо за видео ❤❤😊
Ohhh, I am sure your piece is gorgeous!!! So happy to meet someone else who has stitched it :) I do love having all my projects in their own bags, keeps things organized and makes me happy :)
Always so fun to see all your stitching! It was great to see you again at Stitch-con!
Thank You Diane! So glad we got to go to Stitch-Con! :)
First time viewer but have to tell you I stumbled on your Flosstube quite by accident! I found an old one where you take about your Artisan lap stand. I have stitched in hand for 50 years and have just begun to learn two-handed stitching so I went straight to their site and ordered a lap stand! You have such a wonderful demonstration and recommendation that I felt comfortable with it. Now to be patient. Your stitching is lovely and I really like the variety that you (and your daughters!) enjoy. My one daughter that stitches knows that when I die she gets my stash. I am retired now so really appreciate my time to enjoy it fully!
Thank You Desiree! I am so glad the lapstand video was helpful :) I still love that stand and use it every day. I have two years to retirement and I am counting the days, lol.
Always enjoy your videos and love seeing your wips ! And that fairy 🧚♀️ garden 🪴!!!
Thanks, Kim ☀️
Thank You Kim!!!
I am watching from Australia, you are my favourite flosstube @ I have been looking for you for weeks ,love your work
Thank You Rosalie!! Such kind words :) I am really hoping to visit Australia and New Zealand one day :)
I have been having so much fun stitching however long I want this summer, that I kept putting off making a video. But finally got one put up today :)
You started over again on your HAED?! Why?
I like your hair. I was trying to figure out what you had done up on top. It looked like you had somehow wrapped the bangs at the sides up there. Was that a bobby pin? Maybe two? Then I finally figured it out. You must have been working out under the trees or something and got a little debris up there. It made me giggle because I have had some like that walking beneath the snowball bush/tree that hubby was trimming up to be able to irrigate better and not have to bend in half to do it while watering the lawn. You are evidence of a hard worker in more ways than one! Bless you.
Hi Lilia!!!!! No, I did not start over on my HAED, lol! That would be crazy. Not sure what made you think I started over :)
And yes, I seem to have had some debris in my hair, lol! I can't believe I didn't see it in the camera when I was filming! And yes, you should see my hair after I have mowed the lawn and trimmed and gotten it caught in all the fruit trees, lol!!
Catching up with you today! I love all the houses you are stitching. 😊
Thank You :) I do LOVE patterns with houses, lol!
Great video. Always enjoy seeing your beautiful finishes and what you are working on. Have a fun summer, enjoy Stitch Con and thank you for sharing everything.
Thank You Jo Marie!!
Brenda, your stitching is amazing! You have such a variety of designers and styles of stitching. I don't know how you decide on what you want to stitch. Thanks for all the time you put into preparing your video.
Thank You Connie!! I seem to want to stitch every beautiful pattern that I see, lol!!
Thanks for sharing the video of your wee village, so neat, i just love the babbling brook.
Thank You Julia! It makes me happy every time I look at it :)
Hi Brenda! WOW! This is one impressive video. You are so organized. I have to say- the way you use variegated floss in your projects is so inspiring. I would really like to see how you stitch the puddle shapes you mentioned for your serenity harbor sampler. It had me in awe!
Thank you for sharing all of your beautiful work.
Thank You! Hmmm, I will have to think of a way to show how I stitched those puddle shapes on my next video :)
I love JBW Designs. She does such awesome stuff.
Me Too!!
Obviously I'm way behind on FT and it is set to random so I never know what I'm going to get. I just had to say that the way you are using the variegated floss on those petals is absolute genius!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please don't feel obligated to respond to this comment. We can ooh and aah over your genius-ness when I see you next month. Ha ha.
Lol, thank you Julie!!! I so enjoyed seeing you, chatting, and seeing your framed piece!!!
I love seeing your videos! Your projects and wonderful and it’s fun seeing all of your progress! Take care!
Thank You Lisa!
Love your finishes and your progress on your wips. Happy stitching!
Thank You Karin!!
You have found some unique charts! I should have not watched and only listened to this video. I like so many of them!!!
Oh no! So sorry, lol :)
Hi Brenda - would you show us sometime how you store your patterns? You have inspired me in so many ways and I've learned so much from your videos! I would love another tour of your craft room, lol. Thanks so much for your wonderful videos!
Thank You Janet! I was actually thinking of doing another tour of my craft room, and will definitely show how I store my patterns :)
Love Love Love your WIPs. So many I hope to purchase and make my own WIPs. Keep up the excellent work!!❤❤❤
Thank You Glenda!
Love your garden. Beautiful stitching
Thank You Linda :)
Wonderful video beautiful stitching projects and finishes, enjoy stitch con,Thankyou for sharing 👍🇳🇿❤️🪡
Thank You Donna!
I’m not even stitching right now because you have my undivided attention! Aaah! I LOVE the snapshots! Why do I keep forgetting to pull those out? You’re right June is SUPER cute! The Schoolhouse stitches are so beautiful. Yours are so pristine and perfect. The Marquis Mystery is a showstopper 😮 I love your fabric for Hello Pumpkin. I am starting Churchyard Christmas in July :) Eventually I will break down and start Serenity Harbor 😬 how about if I just start everything you are stitching? 😂 The sewing room and kitchen designs look incredibly fun. Yay, a Sara stitch! Will the Filigram have a hashtag? It’s always amazing to watch you Brenda, you are a wonder. ❤
Thank You Jaime!!!! It was so wonderful to meet and chat with you at Stitch-Con!!! We have not started the Filigram piece yet because the lady who wanted to start it with me lives in Texas and had terrible damage to her home and neighborhood in the storms they got in mid-June :) But we will have to come up with a hashtag when we eventually start it :) And I feel the same way about your stitching, I might as well just start everything you start, lol!!!
Well, of course, I just had to buy This Crazy Life.........thanks for the temptation!
LOL, so sorry Sara!! Grin
Brenda wonderful video! Thanks for sharing all your projects they were wonderful. Have a great trip
Thank You Barbara!!
Wow! You've got a lot done on a lot of projects! It was great seeing you at stitch con!
Hi Lidia!!! It was so wonderful to get to sit with you and spend time together!!!
NEW Subscriber here!! I absolutely LOVE the patterns you choose to stitch! ALL of them!!! They are ALL stunning!!! I love the passion you have for cross stitch! You can tell by how you talk about it and by your body language as you pull each piece out! It is lovely to see!
I am newer to FlossTube, just having found it at the end of February/beginning of March, in or around there, somewhere, and have been addicted ever since! I am STILL finding NEW people to watch, such as you! I cannot get enough of these videos, I enjoy watching the older ones as well, and I have to say I have learned so MUCH about it, even though I thought I knew what I needed to know - NO! I've learned so much more in addition to things I never even gave a thought about! And I have been stitching since I was a kid! More so in my teenage years, maybe around 12-14, I really started getting into it! I am 56 now! Still stitching! Lol! However, NEVER to the degree I am stitching at now! I think FlossTube gave me the 'permission' to have more than one or two projects going at the same time, if that makes sense? Yep! Thanks, FlossTube! However, there IS a NEED to have several projects going at the same time! Some projects are more intricate than others, some call for different stitches, different fabrics, different seasons of the year, different colors that are more easily seen during the daylight hours versus nighttime darkness, the mood we are in, if we want something that is just easy and simple, I can go on and on for 'needing' to have many different WIPS all going at the same time! We are blessed to be ab;e to do it! Yes!
Thank you for sharing ALL you do! It is enjoyed very much! I look forward to future videos as well!
Thank You Laurie! I so agree with everything you said, lol!!! When I discovered Flosstubes in 2017 or so, the same thing happened to me :) And I still can't get enough. And yes, that was when the amount of WIPs I had exploded, lol. And yes, everything reason you mentioned is a great reason to have several projects going at the same time!!! :)
Welcome to the Flosstube community!
I always love watching your videos. Your projects looks amazing 🥰
Thank You Marianne!
So many wonderful pieces, really enjoyed seeing them all. Enjoy the rest of your June. x
Thank You Caroline!!!
Amazing amount of stitching, especially at the end of the school year. It's a crazy, busy, time, I know. I really like your new Bent Creek, flower house. Have a great time at Stitch Con and a great summer.❤😊
Thank You Lynn!
Always enjoy your videos. You are amazing how much beautiful stitching you get done. I love the variety of styles also. I also stitch a wide variety of styles to keep things interesting.
Thank You Diane! Yay, the more variety the better! LOL
So good to see your video pop up today!!!! Have missed seeing you!!
Thank You Beth!!
Serenity Bay is such an amazing pattern & you are stitching it beautifully. It's on my "When I'm a grown up stitcher, I'll do it" list. I love the variety of projects (size, designer, style, etc) that you do. Such a prolific stitcher & so motivating!
Thank You Melanie! It is one of my favorite pieces to work on :)

Hi from Australia!! Great to have found you!! Nia

Thank You!
Hi Brenda! Framboise du bois means wood’s strawberries
Love love love your videos and your projects!!!
Alessandra
Thank You Alessandra! That makes total sense :)
Hi Brenda. Once again I really enjoyed all your WIPS. I love the houses in the churchyard Christmas as some of the lights are on and some off. Nice touch. The Alphabet chart is looking so Elegant! I still love your Serenity Harbour! I was lucky enough to get a spot at our Stitch North 2023 in May. My first retreat! I met knew friends and have joined a local group that I was unaware of previously! Just finished stitching my “ Spring’s Messenger” in memory of my granddaughter Robin. Last night, I began an Ink Circles - Pedal Pusher. There were 4 diff colour choices, but I got brave and l picked my own colours! Enjoy your stitching while you are off the month of July! Cheers Marilyn 👏🏻🧑🏻🦰🇨🇦
Thank You Marilyn!!! Yay!!!!! You got to attend a retreat! I heard that Stitch North was FABULOUS! And so glad you found a local group, I have always enjoyed stitching with other stitchers :) And good for you for picking your own colors! I bet it is gorgeous :)
It’s all wonderful and inspiring. ❤
Thank You!
You have become one of my biggest enablers. Every video I have to buy something your stitching. This time it was the Summer chart by Sara. There never small charts either😊. From previous video's I have bought the Stoney Creek Christmas afghan and I really think I need The Black Sampler by Owl Forest.
Oh dear, lol!!! So sorry! Those are such lovely charts though :)
Love seeing your progress on these projects - so many beautiful things to admire! It was good to meet you at Stitch-Con, and thank you for sharing your tips about Churchyard Christmas. I plan to start it for the #baptoschoolsal on September 1, and I'm so excited, especially after seeing all your progress! I hope you had safe travels back west, and happy stitching this summer! 💜
Thank You!!! And I was so glad I got to meet you :)
Your work is so beautiful. Congrats!
Thank You Brenda!
Wow, wow, wow!!!! Your stitching is phenomenal!!! I’m inspired beyond repair 🤣, thanks for sharing, Denise
You are welcome Denise! :)
Hoity Toity is gorgeous! I would be so tempted to go monogamous and finish it!
Thank You Kimber! I think I will be able to finish it TODAY!!! Yay!!!
What incredible productivity! And what an eclectic collection! A joy to watch. Bit of linguistic advice from a European: fraises des bois (litt. strawberries of the woods) = French for wild strawberries. Estate (Italian "estahteh") = Italian for summer. Ete ("aytay") = French for summer. There's always Google translation! Have a wonderful stitchy summer!
Thank YOU!!!! That makes so much more sense! And I always love to understand what the designer really meant :) You are wonderful :)
Happy Summer stitching! 💝
Thank You Denise! You too!!!!!!
Absolutely love seeing your projects!! And your fairy garden at the end is fantastic!! Wow!! Happy stitching!!
Thank You Joyce!
I enjoy seeing your stitching pieces! Thank you for sharing! You are inspiring and just a bit enabling! Your projects are beautiful and fun, and I get my own ideas that I have to stitch them also!
Thank You Mary! Sorry for the enabling, lol!!
Loved seeing all your projects! You are so close on Hoity Toity. The couch with the tiny pillow reminds me of the couch from Friends. Its so cute. Have a great June!
Thank You Christina! I just finished Hoity Toity last night!! And I can't wait to get to that tiny pillow. You are so right about the Friends couch, lol!
Love seeing your projects and your tiny town in all its seasons! Have a great stitchy summer and a great time at the convention
Thank You Ellen!!!
Oh your wee village at the end is lovely! And I’m loving all of your projects. You had a great May!
Thank You Friend! Happy Summer!!

You are very welcome Alison!! I LOVE them!!!
Brenda, all of your pieced are so beautiful 😍
Thank You Katherine :)
I love your Maynia recap! You were my first introduction to Mania back in 2020 where I started The Stitching Shelf…I’m still plugging away, with the help of Boss daughter’s tutorial on parking, which I watched again last week. I finished all the Perpetual Calendar, but haven’t started mounting them all yet…have it on my calendar for August (when school starts)! I remember when you started the sleeping princess…it is beautiful!! I love your idea of working on a project each day. Hope you enjoy Stitch Com and your summer stitching!! Your gnome garden is awesome!!
Thank You Susan! And so glad you are stitching The Stitching Shelf!!! And get that Perpetual Calendar mounted! It is not bad once you get started and get a system down :)
@@Handworkmaniac I’m stitching the bus now…so cute! Also think Bent Creek has patterns that are soo adaptable to this format! I loved, loved your latest utube…watched it late last night and will watch again and comment. I sure hope I can meet you someday. If you plan a trip to North Carolina, please let me know! We have a large log cabin and space! Thanks for sharing all your beautiful stitching with us!!
Wow! I am impressed that you can keep track of all those awesome projects! I love stitching Tiny Towns! You will love how fast they stitch up!
Thank You Carol!
Beautiful projects. The summer project is actually Sara Guermani - not just “Sara”(for anyone trying to find her designs). I love all the variety of your projects. I don’t know how you get so much done!!!❤❤
Thank You Alana!!! That is very helpful to know her last name :)
Happy Summer - have a great time at Stitch Con. Thank you for all the inspiration.
Thank You!!
Beautiful projects. Thanks so much again for sharing
Thank You Jacqueline!
Always so happy to see a video from you pop up. I am so jealous you can manage to stitch on such high counts. Lovely work
Thank You!! I have contacts that correct for normal near and far vision. And I use 3.5 power reading glasses and a really good light to stitch. I am very grateful for those reading glasses magnification!
Hi Brenda, No Bear Lake for you this summer you Must stay home and get all that”summer stitching” Done🤦♀️😂😂😂😂 Fun video. tTake care and Enjoy your summer.
Laughing!! We will be going, but not until mid-August. So I have plenty of time to get "all that summer stitching done"!! :)

Hello Brenda...ALWAYS enjoy you and your WIPS, and any FO'S or FFO's you may have!! I see soo many of your WIPS that I would like to start, and I did stop this video to purchase Owl Forest pattern Vintage. 😀 Won't see you at STITCH Con b\c I am going on a 2 week cruise October 1-15 to the Holy Land....I'm pretty excited!!What are you taking to the Brag Table?? HAPPY STITCHING TODAY AND EVERYDAY IN 2023!!
Hi Karen!!!!! I missed you at Stitch-Con but a cruise to the Holy Land would be sooo worth it!!!!! WOWzers!!! Have a fabulous time! I visited the Holy Land when I was in college and loved it :) I put my Big Round Zipper on the Brag Table :)
Enjoy your summer. Happy stitching.
Thank You Linda!
Great projects! Thanks for sharing.
Thank You Pamela!
I was so happy to see a new video from you today!
Thank You LouAnn!
Hope your doing ok 🌻🐝🦋
Hi Susan!!! Yes, I am fine :) Thanks for checking on me!! I am just finally uploading a new video today :)
Yay. I have been anxiously awaiting a new video. Thank you!!!!!
Thank You Brian!!
Excellent work as always
Thank You!!
Such lovely projects!!!
Thank You Connie!
Wonderful video! Have fun at stitch con!
Thank You Devra!
Hi Brenda would you please consider doing a video of your version of parking method please. Thanks. Gorgeous Worrell as always. I love the patterns you find!
Thank You Jen! I think I showed my parking method in Video #100, the Stitch With Me video. It is the last piece that I work on :)
@@Handworkmaniac ooo...I will check that out!! Thank you. The first comment should have said gorgeous work, as always. Look forward to seeing more
Yep, I'm doing back to back tiny towns. sooo cute
Yay! I love those tiny towns!!!
Wonderful projects and beautiful stitching! "Ete" is French for "summer."
Thank You Becky!!! That makes so much more sense. So maybe "estate" is Italian?
Hi Brenda, beautiful projects in cross stitch and so many of them. 26:18
Thank You Kathe!
I hope you are having a fabulous time at Stitch Con B+
Thank You Rae!!! It was fabulous :)
Another great video. I am always in awe when I see your work! I’m curious… do you add the handles to your project bags? It seems like they all have one.
Thank You Kathryn! I prefer project bags with handles, so I am always look for that when I am purchasing. But I do have quite a few that don't have handles and I always wish that they did :)
Hi. Do you use markup? I’m trying to find someone in northern Utah county to teach it to me. I love Brenda Gervais, too. Your stitching is so even. Thanks!
Hello Kathleen! I have used it once or twice, but definitely don't know it well at all. I hope you find someone :)
Beautiful projects!! Mystery Marquois.......is that something that is still available? I vaguely remember seeing that when I really got into social media, back in 2014 and of course forgot about it since I had so much to catch up on!! LOL
Take care, Ruth.
Thank You Ruth! Yes, I believe you can still buy Marquois Mystery. I did a quick search and found it here, and it may be available at other sites as well :) www.casacenina.com/isabelle-vautier/marquoir-mystery.html
All your projects look fantastic Brenda. Could you advise me on a good queen stitch video on how to do them?. Thank you take care dear.
Thank You Yvonne! Gosh, I learned how to do queen stitches in an EGA class long before there were videos online, lol! So I don't know! I know that Jean Farrish Needleworks has great tutorials, but I don't know if she has done one on the Queen Stitch. I'm sure if you went to RUclips and searched for "flosstube queen stitch tutorial" there would be many to choose from :)
@@Handworkmaniac have already done that!
Thanks for sharing your varigation technique on your flowers. Beautifully done. So do you stitch on these maynia projects only on the specific day in May each year?
Hi Mary Jo! I work on them throughout the year, but if they still aren't done when May comes around again, I make sure I work on them on their specific day in May as well :)
I was wondering where you were, really wanted to see your Maynia update. You did not disappoint, I love to see what you changed and what you kept the same. In one of your videos you mentioned a maker for project bags that made them several inches larger all the way around so you could get your Qsnap projects inside. Are they the one with the handles? Who makes those?
Thank You Dorothy! There are several bag makers on Etsy that make the bigger style of bags that I like, and some of them have handles:
--Sheri Sew Sweet on Etsy
--Kreative Carol Designs on Etsy
--RoseHart Design on Etsy
--LakeHouseStitchCo on Etsy
--Lake Wind Studio. LakeWindStudio.com, and on Etsy.
--Studio88West on Etsy
What a wonderful video! Your pieces are simply gorgeous!!! I would so appreciate it if you would send me the DMC conversion for The Sunnyside Sampler, I have been looking for one and have not been able to find one.
Thank You Katie!!! I would happy to share it, just send me an email at AdnerbYakJ@gmail.com and I will send it to you. I have been not paying attention to my email at all this summer, so if you already send me an email, I will get to it in the next day or two :)
Hey Brenda! I am hoping you can tell me how you stitch on Sleeping Princess. Do you use a paper copy or did you figure out how to get it on Pattern Keeper? I have the floss all ready and I plan to get fabric in the next few days. But the chart is overwhelming me! It is such a huge chart and such tiny symbols. I need help!
Hi Ann! I agree, that chart is a little overwhelming!! I carefully folded the chart different ways and made some copies on my copy machine at home. I started in the middle so I just fit as much of the middle section as I could on the glass of my copy machine and started with that. When I moved to different areas I just folded up the chart carefully again and copied that section. Sometimes I tape 2 or 3 copy pages together and then fold that up to where I am working and attach it to my stitching with a needleminder. You could also do the same thing but enlarge the chart a little to see the symbols better.
🦋🦋🦋
Thank You!!! Love your videos!!!!!
I always love seeing your progress on your projects. I was interested in your black folio project bag that you are using on the Drawn Thread SAL. Do you know what shop made that for you? Thanks so much.
Thank You Kathy! That folio was made by "MissiLynn". I believe she only has a Facebook page, and sells her products there :)
How do you get it all done? I wish I could stitch faster. Take care
Thank You :) LOL, my husband would say I spend every spare minute stitching, which is basically true :) I think being an empty nester helps as well. And I also think 40 years of muscle memory helps :)
I don't know that I am really fast, but I do keep going at a steady pace. And I hate interruptions so I only look at my phone every few hours and ignore everything else :)
On the American Sampler where did you get the silk conversion ? I have the chart from the Kooler website and it does not mention doing the alternating half cross is that something you changed or was it in the magazine chart??
Hello! The version I have from the Cross Stitch & Needlework Magazine (March 2011) is charted for silks and has the directions for the alternating quarter cross in the paragraph directions at the beginning of the chart. Email me at AdnerbYakJ@gmail.com. Maybe I could send a picture of just the directions page and the color list :)
Hi Brenda. Question for you. I am going to start A stitch In Time (max colors) on 25 count luguana like you. I want to try a Q snap. What brand would you recommend and what size? Thanks for any suggestions
Hi Linda!! I prefer the actual "Q-Snap" brand. I find that the off-brands do not hold the fabric as well, and are not as well made, and they don't fit into my lapstand. I always use an 11 x 11 on my full coverage projects. But my daughter Catherine prefers the 8 x 8 on hers. I hope that helps!
Is the green piece supposed to say can't wait until this day is done?
It says "Care of Tomorrow Can Wait Until This Day Is Done" :)
