I don't comment often because I watch on my tv most of the time, but I did want to say how much I look forward to your videos and they are the first I watch when a new one comes out! I turned 60 last year, the plan was 60 new starts for the year, then some stitchy friends and I decided to do "no new starts" this year so we had to add a few more...... needless to say I won't be doing 63 new starts in a couple years when I turn 63! I'm running out of room for the project bags! I will live vicariously through you and your new starts this year for a while. I am hoping for about 20 to 25 finishes this year and I will be starting a few things next year, but 98% of them will be very small lol. A couple large things planned but I want to get a few more things finished. I love the knitting progress as well. I don't knit, I never could really get the hang of it, but I have crocheted since I was very young. I have been thinking about doing one of those shawls that Lynn (Lancashire Stitcher) is doing. Congratulations on the wonderful 3 years of flosstubes! It is getting to be that time of year I see the bluebirds among the rose bushes. Thanks for another wonderful video!

I will be going on vacation this May to see my granddaughter graduate from High School and to see my grandson play Hockey. While I am there is a needlework shop called Persnickety Stitches and will be checking that out. I may take with me some small cross stitch projects while I am in Indiana. As a matter of fact I recently purchased And God Saw which I’m looking forward to starting soon. With the days getting longer and warmer, I can’t wait to take my stitching outside on the patio, enjoying the natural pond in my backyard with all the beautiful bluebirds, red-winged blackbirds, geese and even a tiny rabbit yesterday…. love this time of year!

I am working on the same Barbara Ana piece, although I will only be doing the center section (because I accidentally started it 90 degrees to what I was supposed to and ended up having to rechart it to squeeze in what I wanted and to move some of the other motifs in). Her skirt is really pretty and stands out, I think. Bluebirds, Summer, Rose.

Wow, what beautiful pieces you have going! I wish that I'd completed this video sooner because I really love the Lavender & Lace piece Summer Angel. When my mother was alive, she worked several of those because she loved the colors and the sweet expressions on angels' faces. I have a couple of the charts she never got started and have one going right now. I always enjoy your videos. It seems we have very similar taste. It takes me a while to get through them because when you show something that interests me, I have to open another tab and take a really close look at the chart and decide if I want to add to my collection or not. I leave the tab open on that item for a while as I decide. Then, since In Stitches (Alexandria, VA) is about 20 minutes away, I can zip up there and get it along with any other supplies I need. I know so many stitchers are crazy about the floss drops but I prefer to keep my floss in the little bags. A piece I've been working on for a while (has a lot of blended threads and confetti areas) has the floss sorted out on a cardboard thread sorter. Even though I keep the sorter and threads in a plastic bag unless I'm pulling out a thread to use, the threads still have gotten a lot of fuzz and cat hairs on them. The threads for other pieces that I keep in individual bags stay quite clean and don't collect the additional "fiber" of cat hair (which can alter the color a shade if it gets caught in stitching unnoticed--yes, I frog that part). My cat is a long-haired tuxedo and she loves to watch those wiggling, waggling threads as I stitch so that doesn't help either. Also, if I have a piece that I'm not working on, those bags ensure curious kitty doesn't consume a thread which can be hazardous or even deadly to her. I take the same great care when I'm in my sewing room making sure that threads and threaded needles are safely tucked away. Yes, I panic if I cannot locate a pin or needle I've dropped. I don't want the cat to find before I do and I don't want to find it with my bare feet (long story there but with a roommate that constantly used round, sharp toothpicks). Thanks for the recommendations of other Flosstubers to check out. So much fun!

Wow, what beautiful pieces you have going! I wish that I'd completed this video sooner because I really love the Lavender & Lace piece Summer Angel. When my mother was alive, she worked several of those because she loved the colors and the sweet expressions on angels' faces. I have a couple of the charts she never got started and have one going right now.
I always enjoy your videos. It seems we have very similar taste. It takes me a while to get through them because when you show something that interests me, I have to open another tab and take a really close look at the chart and decide if I want to add to my collection or not. I leave the tab open on that item for a while as I decide. Then, since In Stitches (Alexandria, VA) is about 20 minutes away, I can zip up there and get it along with any other supplies I need.
I know so many stitchers are crazy about the floss drops but I prefer to keep my floss in the little bags. A piece I've been working on for a while (has a lot of blended threads and confetti areas) has the floss sorted out on a cardboard thread sorter. Even though I keep the sorter and threads in a plastic bag unless I'm pulling out a thread to use, the threads still have gotten a lot of fuzz and cat hairs on them. The threads for other pieces that I keep in individual bags stay quite clean and don't collect the additional "fiber" of cat hair (which can alter the color a shade if it gets caught in stitching unnoticed--yes, I frog that part). My cat is a long-haired tuxedo and she loves to watch those wiggling, waggling threads as I stitch so that doesn't help either. Also, if I have a piece that I'm not working on, those bags ensure curious kitty doesn't consume a thread which can be hazardous or even deadly to her. I take the same great care when I'm in my sewing room making sure that threads and threaded needles are safely tucked away. Yes, I panic if I cannot locate a pin or needle I've dropped. I don't want the cat to find before I do and I don't want to find it with my bare feet (long story there but with a roommate that constantly used round, sharp toothpicks).
