There is no one else after Tom because Alex has no ground game compared to Jon. After Tom there is no one and he can retire being the man if he beats Tom. Most people just want to see Jon in a good fight not a washout. If your still fighting and he is the interim then that's who you fight next period.
I have two good reasons why Tom and John should fight ... By Dana's own words , first reason: the best fight the best. Second reason is that John faught older apponents in Stipe, Glover, DC ect. It's just fair that Tom gets to fight the older champ.
Exactly, if he holds the heavyweight belt at some point he has to fight the CLEAR no 1 contender who's beaten virtually everyone in the top 10 and been at the top of the list for years. Yea he doesnt owe anyone a loss but any belt holder owes the division that much, and thats even ignoring the whole interim thing. If you dont wanna fight him vacate the belt otherwise fight him or retire
Correction Cormier stipe and glover challenged him. He was the champ. None of those guys were headlining cards it's not the same comparison. Jones wants to make money. Aspinal fight might do that now but only because people think he doesn't want it when in reality he is just looking at whichever guy has the most money making potential
When Jones says that a win against Aspinall would do nothing for his legacy, he's maybe being short-sighted. If he beat Tom, and after his retirement Tom went on to dominate the heavyweight division for a few years (as many would consider quite likely)- then Jones' win against such a heavyweight great in their prime would go down as arguably his most notable win.
AGREED! *”He changes nothing if i beat him”* - he is so WRONG and is either completely out of touch or being willfully obtuse. IF you beat him, you’ll be considered the LEGIT undisputed Heavyweight Champ. IF you DON’T, your reign will be considered a fraud, as your overall career has been increasingly considered in hindsight. If you dodge Aspinall, you instantly go from “GOAT” to “CHICKEN”.
Lo dice un pollo jajajajajaa....suponiendo que Jones le gana y luego se retira, después Aspinall gana y es campeón, estoy 100% seguro que van a decir que Jones no enfrentó al mejor Aspinall solo por seguir restando mérito a Jones.
It proved that Jon had a reason to duck Cain, prime Stipe, Francis and now Tom. If Stipe had a competitive second round with Jon, what do you think the Stipe that beat Overeem and Dossantos would have done...
@@realityandnaturepilldamn i wrote litteraly the exact same comment 😂 Only a few people seemed to remember that Jones didnt want to move AT lhw when cain and stipe were AT their best
Aspinall became INTERIM CHAMPION by destroying active heavyweights ranked 3rd, 4th, 5th ,7th, 8th in their prime, not a retired old man who hasn't been in the ring for 3.5 years.
Jon acts like nobody ever thought he lost a fight before… Gustafsson 1? Santos? Reyes? Tom will be the first heavyweight Jon fights that isn’t clueless when it comes to grappling and isn’t past their prime, and he knows Tom presents his first real challenge at heavyweight because while being well rounded like Jon, Tom is also faster than most LHWs Jon has fought.
DC fought Jon when he was 35 and DC is an Olympic wrestler. Jon dominated him. Ryan Bader was Bellator heavyweight champion and Jon submitted him. Brandon Vera was ONE heavyweight champion and Jon finished him with ground and pound.
Whooped Santos ass, you can’t even walk after the fight he Big Gustavsson, and lost, or won a very very close one to Reyes . It could go either way with a champion he gets the benefit of doubt so.
At 6:25 Did Kenny Florian just say Aspinal has better submission skills than Jon Jones??!! Jones has 8 submission wins including 2 BJJ blackbelts and 4 former or future champions. Tom has 2 submissions and has been submitted himself. Make it make sense Kenny!😂
Jones fought a ton of OGs on his way to the top. It's the natural order of things, but he is saying it's unreasonable now. That means he's scared, and Stipe was right.
Fedor in his prime beat fighters much bigger than him, having a smaller size gives you a speed advantage. The problem is Jon is too old, slow, and washed up, and it showed in the Stipe fight. Stipe is a 42 year old firefighter that had not fought in 4 years, he looked terrible in that fight, and so did Jon. Jon if he is smart gives up his belt and retires, if he is stupid fights Tom Aspinall and gets knocked out in round 1.
Y'all gas Tom too much he's done nothing for y'all to have this level of faith in him. Plus if Jon isn't afraid of ngannou why would he be afraid of Tom???
Jon Jones, was fine to build his carrier over old fighters, now happy to fight retiring fighters past their prime. He was happy to fight DC when 7 years younger. But does not have the balls to give the same chance DC gave him. Dana is a fanny for allowing it. And Jones is the biggest piss-ant in the UFC at this time. Time to put on the BIG BOY PANTS, and grow a set.
You actually believe He is scared of anyone? Do you realise how many legends he already beat? People said so many times he would lose to someone, like Gane, DC, Stipe etc yet he beat all of them. Now As always, they say Aspinal can beat him. It Will never end, haters will be haters.
@@Jaroslav-f9o When Stipe was in his prime the question of them fighting was asked about them fighting. Stipe was all in and Jon said no way! When Ngannou left he was all of a sudden ready and now he's agressively ducking Aspinal. This isnt difficult to understand.
Everyone that he has fought against could have beat him... you are so lost in your hate for Jones that you are putting logic aside. Jones has nothing to gain from this fight, if he wins it's just another win for him. Aspinall Loses nothing, if he wins he is the first guy to beat Jones and take his belt, if not he lost to the GOAT, which isn't very damaging to his reputation and legacy.
Although Jones has nothing left to prove as far as I’m concerned, I would enjoy watching this fight if they do. But I also see the importance of not letting one’s self trust in the opinions, holistically speaking, of the fans & critics. On the one hand, if he beats Tom, people will clamor for the next upcoming shiny object. If he loses to Tom, Tom is a legend killer all of a sudden and Jon is old and probably needs to retire or whatever the new narrative will be. You can’t please ALL of the people, ALL of the time.
@@realtalkw_darius1 Yup. If Jon wins which I believe he would. If not by KO or submission they'll call it rigged. He basically can't win no matter what he does to this mob. They want him to fight a younger, bigger, "faster" opponent or he's a bum. Well, when has Jon been the bigger, faster, stronger opponent? I honestly only want to see the fight so I have the opportunity to troll everyone that's been riding the Tom Aspinall train if he loses.
@realtalkw_darius1 There is no one else in the division for Jones. This idea that Tom is just another guy, having sparked out most of the top contenders in the first round is insulting. It's just the best excuse Jones and his team could come up with to duck him
@ Tom being ‘just another guy’, that I agree with. He’s a serious challenger, not just another guy. However, there are other fighters in the division. The discussion is about contenders who can actually pose a greater challenge to Jon. And the one challenger many people see and want to see as a good bout is with Tom. I don’t disagree. If he’s the next guy, and it appears he is as Dana stated, then that is the fight to make. But Jon isn’t just another champion either. Accusing him, without actual evidence, of ducking because he doesn’t see the value in the fight for his legacy, I think is ridiculous or short sided. He doesn’t owe us that fight. But I know many people feel like he does. My simple question is where does it end? He fights the kid, and he wins, what will the new narrative be? I already have ideas of what it will be if he wins or loses, but if he wins, will fans and critics alike be satisfied at his greatness? I sincerely doubt it. It won’t be enough. That’s what Jon sees and in so many words has alluded to. Again, would I watch if they do battle, yes. Do I need more ‘proof’ of his greatness? No. Can I be selfish about it as a fan? Yes. Will I be? No.
@@realtalkw_darius1all this Yap for no reason. Defend against #1 contender as every champion should do or just give up the belt if u think ur ass is getting beat and u don't want ur ass beat
What’s in it for Jon to fight Tom? Gotta beat top to be top. And you’re not the only one with a belt at HW for some reason. That reason is that Tom is considered the top HW of today and is also HW champion.
Because he is not saying what we want to hear! Think of it this way….. most of fighters will go broke after their career….those who have the chance at a point should chase money fight…. He is already the GOAT….. like all fighters both past and present agree he is the best… so why shouldn’t he chase Alex?the real money fight? Not fighting Tom ,won’t change shit for his legacy? And he will fight UFC to be paid tons of money …. After he will go away and make another tons fighting francis

All wrong. He moved to heavyweight originally for a superfight with Francis. The guy wants to get paid and do super fights, which is why he said he'll fight Tom for super fight money.
Embarrassing the ufc by being a POS irl! Making Dana degrade the entire sport for his ego…beat his wife, DUI with felony fleeing the scene of an accident…now a wave of utter spamming nonsense in the comments actually EMBARRASSING jj and talking him into a fight…
Jon has the most overrated legacy/resume in all of UFC. When he arrived as a towering man with a 84 inch reach his division was so shallow that it had middleweights at the top of the division, his first 5 title defenses were against middelweights, he was enhanced at the very least in the DC fights and the second Gustafsson fight. If jon had moved up to heavyweight just as he had stated he would and fight a prime Cain, Dossantos, Stipe or Francis at heavyweight...that's different.
All these Jones fans are simply scared that tom wins and they are protecting their favorite fighter. It's unreal. They are saying that jones is so good that he shouldn't fight anyone who can potentially beat him. That logic makes absolutely zero sense.
@beanteam2217 jon isn't signed to fight anyone right now is he? Jones is the champ. Tom is the interim champ. There is zero excuse to not fight tom unless jones retires. Clearly jones doesn't intend to retire and is trying to fight a lw. It's embarrassing
@ wtf u talking about? This all started because Tom was crying about fighting Jon instead of stipe. So why would Jon wanna do business with someone that’s been acting like an impatient asshole? But I agree, Tom should be who he fights next. And I think it’ll happen if Dana doesn’t be cheap.
I really don’t understand JJs mindset. “They think they got somebody who can beat me” It’s not about that at all, Tom is the No.1 contender. He’s the second fighter in UFC history to defend an interim belt, he deserves to fight for the HWC, that’s it. However (for me anyway) I’d rather see him fight the champion over him getting it because JJ vacates it.
Ya it really is such a cowardly dishonorable move on his part to dodge the fight out of fear his own legacy will be diminished, and in return denying Aspinall the chance to cement his legacy by unifying the HW champ belts as part of his reign as undisputed HW champ. He would rather hold the belt hostage building his resume on washed up and inferior challengers. CHUMP.
If Tom had called him out of retirement, Jon might have had a case. But Jon is an active fighter with the belt. The truth is, it should have been Tom in the cage instead of Stipe-champ vs. interim.
I used to think Tom would run through Jon but realistically he has beaten all comers pretty comfortably... he has the highest IQ in the game... if anyone can game-plan for Tom.. Jon can. Can't think who would take this
Never seen Jon duck a guy who was older and smaller. Hes looking more and more like a track star than a fighter. Running away from the biggest fight of his career.

Tom is a real problem for Mr. J and he doesn't want to chance getting whooped by a newish fully loaded fast heavyweight. He rather have a better excuse for loosing if that should happen. A loss to Perreira looks better to him than a loss to Aspinall. This retiree logic not warrior champion logic in my opinion. Mr.J doesn't have anything to prove. he''s done it all.
If you hold the belt you have to defend it against top contenders. It’s king of the hill. You can’t have challengers in your division challenge you for the belt but want to fight someone in another division.
Jones at his age and the way he performed the other night is never in a million years going to put Aspinall away he will get murdered. He hasn't been tested he has near on cleared out the division. If you dont want to fight the best heavyweights in the world than dont hold that meaningless belt. Thats what being the champ means. To be the best and prove it. Tom has said it himself that he doesnt care about Jon
The champ means you beat the champ and you continue to defend it. It has nothing to do with who you fight next. He wants to fight Alex, why should he not? He just whooped the greatest HW of all time.
He literally JUST finished a fight he was scheduled for lol. How is he holding the belt? It may feel that way because of how much time passed but he got injured and had to recover. If he stays a heavyweight then yes he would fight aspinnall but he also has SD he doesn't have a problem retiring and would gladly give up the belt if required. He doesn't have anything more to prove to anyone lol.
Interim Champ literally has dibs on the official belt. It’s not difficult. Doesn’t matter who the champ is or who the interim champ is. You must unify the belt
And Gustafson in their first fight was super close. I had Gus winning their first fight . But Jon proved himself in the second fight so idk.... Doesn't matter tho because the history says he won all these fights

His legacy has already been created. I watched Jon Jones his entire career. Did you just grt here? Yeah he knows he can potentially lose for sure but at the end of the day his resume speaks for itself. Anybody 40 or close to it will lose to a guy that is 10 years younger and 80% as good more than likely.

Jones will never fight Tom, unless there's a ludicrous ammount of money offered. Tom is too fast, too powerful and too many skills. You can tell by the way Jones has spoken for the past year and a half, he knows he likely loses. More interesting question, how do you think Aspinall vs Ngannou would go? That would be a huge fight if Jones ducks, pay Francis the mega money for a lineal fight.
He ducked cain, prime stipe, ngannou and now tom' Jones got warned by reyes and santos that he wasn't the fighter he used to be, so he decided to move AT hw waiting for stipe to be old and ngannou to be out, Ask for the title against thé easyest matchup for him in the top 10, an old retired legend stipe, and then another money fight. Compared to cormier who had the balls to challenge stipe when cormier was thé man at lhw and stipe was AT his best at hw, that's ridiculous
If i could tell Jon one thing. I been watching you forever man. A long time die hard fan. Even if you lost to Aspinal you would still be the pound for pound GOAT. Much respect to your inspiration.
He fought Daniel when Daniel was 38, and with a 12 inch reach disadvantage...and still felt like he needed an "enhancement". During an interview he said that he does not want to fight Daniel at heavyweight because that would be "giving him too many physical advantages"...which ones? Jon has walked around at 230+ even during his light heavyweight days. Ducking and hypocrisy are common themes for Jon. One other example; mentioning Gane's "dirty" tactics...years after admitting to eye poke your opponents and smile sarcastically.
To me, it’s the fact the Jones held the division up for two years. Aspinall gets the interim belt, and they are not unifying the belt. It’s not fair for Aspinall to not get the option to unify the belt. If Jones doesn’t fight the interim champion to unify the belt, he needs to vacate right now then. It’s the fact that Jon Jones is getting special treatment. I get that he is incredible; the best to ever do it! That doesn’t mean he gets to hold that belt for two years inactive, and not challenging the guy who is now crowned the best heavy weight. What’s the point of having a championship belt if you just get to choose the person that gets it unjustifiably?
Jon Jones has nothing left to prove. He’s already cemented his legacy as one of the greatest ever, and at this point, he’s earned the right to call the shots. There will always be another rising star like Aspinall, but if Jones beats him, the narrative will just shift to ‘Tom was never that good.’ It’s a no-win situation for Jones, and that’s the price of being the GOAT.
Smith talking about Tom being “another guy”, when Smith at one point was just “another guy”. Except even at the time no one saw Smith as a true challenge for Jon at the time. Whereas most pundits, outlets etc think Tom is definitely THE last remaining challenge for Jon.
DANIEL CORMIER you've earned my respect. I admire your honesty and you gave Jon his flowers while he is alive. A man that was your rival you spoke well and that my brother shows and tells us all that your character and maturity has grown tremdously in a great way. Nah bro I'm not saying you'll lose but the steaks are high due to weight disadvantages and his youth. Nah brother don't take that fight unless you are very well compensated and make sure if you take the fight a rematch is in the negotiations. Make that money and chunk duces win lose or draw is another option to keep in mind ya feel me? Jon you're absolutely right... Your managers should not put you in a position to fight someone who weighs more especially being younger. Will the UFC ever have a Super Heavyweight devision???? Hugh???? There should be a weight limit in the Heavyweight devision straight up!!!!! Just like all of the lower weight decisions from light Heavyweight on down!!!!! I'm one of many rooting for you at all times Jon. 💯 Daniel Cormier everything you said is absolutely correct much love my brother 💯
As an irish man its hard for me to say aspinall all day long !! However if it gets to the 3rd round its getting really interesting!! Toms a good guy he deserves this but unfortunately history doesn't always favour the GOOD GUY
Jon is like Mike Tyson in that he likes to study fighters he likes to watch videos of their fights to find their weaknesses but Tom's finished everyone so fast there's nothing for Jon to watch & that uncertainty scares him. He doesn't owe us a loss but he owes it to the sport & those who came before him that passed the baton & gave Jon the chance so owes us that at the very least.
He is hang up on the 'undefeatet' status, I belive it really got to him, not just recently but especially in hsi later fights alreayd in the LHW devision, particually against Reyes, were many questioned his offical 'win' most considered a loss, even Dana.
Ducking Aspinall is no where close to affecting Jon’s legacy. What he has done is enough to secure his legacy. Even if he finishes Aspinall, there will still be another dangerous fighter that we shall want to fight Jon.. there will always be another guy to beat till he retires
@marshallagaba9539 if he doesn't fight Tom, then he'll always have that hanging over him, he clearly thinks Tom is a massive threat, but champions have to give the number one contender the chance, not just pick easy fights, examine if Jones wasn't given the chance at the title cos he was thought to be too dangerous?
This is ridiculous. Jon Jones has beaten everybody that you put in front of him. For 16 years might I add. And someone said it already there's always going to be someone that wants to fight you for the next big thing. I would also like to add that Jon Jones has not lost a fight in all this time. The man is undefeated. Pointing out that Tom Aspinall has lost three times. Unless I'm missing something. And I heard somebody say something about track records. I would say being undefeated for 16 years is a pretty good track record and it's not like he hasn't faced great competition. Just crazy to me.
Jon jones has a loss, a robbery, a potential second DQ loss, a no contest, a close fight with a middleweight who had 1 healthy knee, he ran through a division of middleweight fighters who have a shorter reach than welterweight GSP had.
Jon gives away the real reasons he doesn't want the Aspinall every now and then , and he did it here too when he talked about Tom being 7 years younger and 30lbs heavier and then he mentioned Alex being the same age and weight approximately
Gane turned it down already, and Toms already got a title defence, if he's taking a break, step away from the belt and let the rest of the heavyweights fight.

Funny to read all these trash-talking comments about JJ. Some keyboard warriors, who never been in a REAL fight in their life. Some folks are making respectable arguments; some I agree with, some I don't. Let's be clear: JJ isn't ducking anyone, he's been wanting to retire for some time. To say he is, is insanely laughable. He has successfully defended a title 13 times in 2 weight divisions, many of which were 'up and coming' fighters too. JJ is in a place, he can fight whoever he wants, and he feels Pereira is the best match. Everyone keeps talking like Apple would handily beat him; "JJ knows it, it's why he's ducking it." That's what the critics ALL said about everyone else he faced that they matched him with. "This is the one!" Lmao. JJ is too dynamic, adaptable, with a fight IQ that is from another planet. It'd be a GREAT fight, for sure, but don't think for a minute that Apple will walk in there and take the title. He could, but not likely. Most of Apple's devastation comes to the head, but good luck with that vs. JJ. JJ's reach is nearly 7 inches longer, and that's not even the REAL issue regarding fighting distance. Jones legs are a lot longer, and his kicks are probably the most lethal in the UFC. Also, dude always finds a way to win. His weapon arsenal is too large and versatile than just about anybody, and the diversity of it, coupled with the insane fight IQ, would likely be a little too much for Apple. BECAUSE he wants to retire, he's setting the terms. When you're the GOAT, you can do that. Michael Jordan was the same age when he retired; won 6 straight titles in his last, full 6 seasons. Is HE a pussy for retiring? Not remotely. In fact, he set the terms at the end of his career as well. Krause canned Phil, broke up the Bulls (wanted to keep MJ); but MJ made himself clear. Just like MJ, JJ has made his terms clear, he's on his 'last dance'. When you're the GOAT, getting ready to retire, you have all the leverage. Period.
Didn't read all that. Constant eye pokes (AND NEVER PENALIZED). Drug abuse. Law breaking. Assault and battery. Failed drug testing. Too big for his weight class. This is how he stayed undefeated. Never will be contender for GOAT.
Tom hasn’t fought anyone with more experience? Arlovski and Volkov both have just as much experience as Jon. And Tom has picked up some experience now too, made some tweaks, and I think that worries Jon too.
I like Tom however his desperation to fight Jones is off-putting. He will get his shot but in my humble opinion have not seen get tested and I think Jones will put him away.
Jon is bigger than the belt. Jon can retire and his legacy will stay the same. Even if he lost to Tom, Jons legacy would stay the same. Tik tok ufc fans just want to argue online. That's it.

But to talk the way he does and call himself the best but then refuse to face active fighters who also want to call themselves the best, it just shows Jon as the narcissist that he is. If you are the best and you are active, then shut up and fight.

Khabib is a little weirdo. He fought the majority of his fights against people who literally never won a mma match. He is the same as Jones, cherry picking his fights to greate a 'legacy' based on pure deception. He is just like boxers, padding their reocrd, to stay udnefeated. He retired way to realy, becuase he only fought maybe 5 top contenders who were a perfect mach for him and his wrestling, he would have needed much more fights against competition, especially elite wrestlers like him, to actually judge his overall skills on the top level. 5 top contenders is not a legacy, it is the beginning, he just quit when eveyrone belived his lies, do you see somone who is trying to do the same? There nothing to be suprised aout Jones liking Khabib.
@@CybertruckCity This is all facts. Islam already has a better resume than Khabib after beating Oliveira and if he beats Arman again it is undeniable. Also; Tibau beat Khabib, more significant strikes, defended all takedowns and scored one takedown.

@maxhoward9172 100% true if he knows he can't beat Aspinall but why should he be able to he is in his twilight years. Let the strap go and fight the easy fights
I think it will help Jon's legacy if he beats Tom because Tom is younger bigger and really good if an older guy who's known as the best beats the young up and coming then that actually seals and confirms his greatness more than beating and old guys who hadn't faught in 3 years
I always support fighters who do things THEIR way. For the public, it's never enough. Nevermind what you've proven or accomplished. Their agenda is always to see u great...then see u humbled. Never give them that opportunity. It's so wild how guy can become anointed off of so little body of work. I guess they forgot how well Cyril moved & how big he is. ..Aspinall is Just another opponent.
Anyone saying JJ is scared is obviously just started watching UFC/MMA.. let me guess you’re a Connor fan or a Nate Diaz fan. But I’ve seen Jon fight the prime, up and coming, undefeated “this is the guy to beat him” many times over. They are all notable at that level. Toms record is laughable not in terms of win % but who he has fought I could only recognize one name… Curtis blades… who he lost to. John fought prime Lyota. Prime shogun, prime DC, Prime thiago, Prime Reyes, Prime Ryan batter, Prime Rashad Evan’s I mean the list continues and the names get more legendary
Everybody’s mad at John Jones, but think of Khabib literally had many more challenges he could’ve taken on. He never even moved up a weight class and nobody even mentions him. At least John Jones came back.
Jon is the smartest MMA fighter in the world, Tom has 1 thing over Jon and it’s boxing, Jon is better on the ground overall and his kick boxing is superior. Jon has always showed us he makes sure someone can’t use their greatest strength.
Tom talking about massive pressure cracks me up. He’s fought for the interim belt twice. Jon has been in 18 title fights/main events and won them all. Jon has been in more title fights already than Tom will ever be. Tom may beat Jon but Jon will still be the goat.
"He changes nothing if I beat him"... erm, if you beat him Jon, you truly are the best of the best because that would be your greatest challenge yet - and if you lost it would be understandable due to the age and weight difference.

Jon will be older when (if) he fights Aspinall than DC and Glover were when they fought Jon.
And 3rd the interim should fight the champion
Who cares
Jon Jones saying that fighting Aspinall "lacks logic", itself lacks logic

Reyes one I agree but Thiago and guss was close not a lose

Aspinall Loses nothing, if he wins he is the first guy to beat Jones and take his belt, if not he lost to the GOAT, which isn't very damaging to his reputation and legacy.
Tom is bigger, stronger, and quicker. Jones' fight IQ is elite, but Tom has the whole toolkit to beat him, and will
Although Jones has nothing left to prove as far as I’m concerned, I would enjoy watching this fight if they do.
Yes. Will I be? No.

We need this fight just like we need Tank vs Shakur
I think Tom is just too big, too strong, too fast, too aggressive, and too well-rounded for JJ to impose his style.
Interim Champ literally has dibs on the official belt. It’s not difficult. Doesn’t matter who the champ is or who the interim champ is. You must unify the belt
Jones already lost to Reyes.
Exactly that was the biggest robbery in ufc history
And Gustafson in their first fight was super close. I had Gus winning their first fight . But Jon proved himself in the second fight so idk.... Doesn't matter tho because the history says he won all these fights
To you clowns yeah… where it counts?..,the UFC?.. it’s a jones win 🤡🤡🤡
@johnbailey, he beat reyes, reyes was running 🏃♀️ from jones the whole fight lol, dodging action when there's a time limit, reyes was waiting for the time to run out and then act surprised 😮 when the judges say he lost 🤦🤦🤦stop ✋ running and fight
@@thesaintst1851
Then he lost to Hamill...
The only person bigger than you after 17 years, 7 years younger to you, 30 pounds stronger than you. If you beat him, you create a legacy.
That's in it for you.
He ducked nanganou,Hel duck tom unless tom fights for free..give chicken the purse..he still won't fight tom..hel will vacate the title and tom will fight someone else.nanganou will come back and fight tom but for the right money..tom wont be beaten and will retire undeafeated ynwa
He is defeated, wtf guy? 😅
Ur smoking a lot of ice young buck. Lay off the pipe rookie 😅
He ducked cain, prime stipe, ngannou and now tom'
Jones got warned by reyes and santos that he wasn't the fighter he used to be, so he decided to move AT hw waiting for stipe to be old and ngannou to be out, Ask for the title against thé easyest matchup for him in the top 10, an old retired legend stipe, and then another money fight.
Compared to cormier who had the balls to challenge stipe when cormier was thé man at lhw and stipe was AT his best at hw, that's ridiculous
@@groscaramelmou2583 Now he ducked Cain? Damn, this is a whole new level... 😅
If i could tell Jon one thing. I been watching you forever man. A long time die hard fan. Even if you lost to Aspinal you would still be the pound for pound GOAT. Much respect to your inspiration.
GSP all day every day
Wasn't Jon fighting guys like Rampage and Shogun the same thing he keeps talking about with the younger fighter thing...
Yes shogun was 5 years older rampage was 8 years older
He fought Daniel when Daniel was 38, and with a 12 inch reach disadvantage...and still felt like he needed an "enhancement".
During an interview he said that he does not want to fight Daniel at heavyweight because that would be "giving him too many physical advantages"...which ones? Jon has walked around at 230+ even during his light heavyweight days.
Ducking and hypocrisy are common themes for Jon. One other example; mentioning Gane's "dirty" tactics...years after admitting to eye poke your opponents and smile sarcastically.
Jones said it changes nothing if he beats tom. But what if tom beats him... It changes everything lol
Give a thumbs up 👍if you think Jon knows he could probably lose to Tom
He has nothing to prove but he still has a belt to defend
Zzzzz... Fight the next-in-line, Vacate or Retire
Steroid Jones is no goat lol... Tom A. would put him to sleep either standing or on the ground.
He needs to either fight Tom or relinquish the title. Period.
Say what you want about Jon Jones but he’s never been beat according to the judges stop hating
Smith talking about Tom being “another guy”, when Smith at one point was just “another guy”.
Except even at the time no one saw Smith as a true challenge for Jon at the time. Whereas most pundits, outlets etc think Tom is definitely THE last remaining challenge for Jon.
If Jon isn’t going to fight the next guy in line in heavy weight then he needs to relinquish the title. Case closed
DANIEL CORMIER you've earned my respect.
I admire your honesty and you gave Jon his flowers while he is alive.
A man that was your rival you spoke well and that my brother shows and tells us all that your character and maturity has grown tremdously in a great way.
Jon you don't have to prove yourself to anyone.
Win lose or Draw you are one of many greatest of all times.
Tom weighs more than you.
Daniel Cormier everything you said is absolutely correct much love my brother 💯
Jon is right, no matter what he does, its never enough.
Americans. We are an insufferable people who will drain an individual dry, only for our pleasure.
Retire then. Aspsinall just wants the belt.
Retire or defend ur belt.... name of the game
@@Greencrowgardensor vacate the belt and go fight alex for fun
Because he's cheated his whole career. Nothing will ever be enough.
Jon, fight the best, if y 9:59 ou lose, your legacy will be intact, if you duck, your legacy will be gone
Shogun should have said, what does it do for me fighting Jon as a replacement for Rashad? Jon is free to refuse the fight, I am free to disagree.
Give up the belt or face #1 contender. Its simple, all this Yapping ur doing doesn't matter, there are rankings for a reason.
You are totally right, fans have an obsession to see him lose.
Jon jones has a loss, a robbery, a potential second DQ loss, a no contest, a close fight with a middleweight who had 1 healthy knee, he ran through a division of middleweight fighters who have a shorter reach than welterweight GSP had.
His neck always stands out
POUND FOR POUND JONES IS MAULING TOM ASPINALL
Ehat? P 4 P is silly in this conversation, Steroid Jones is ducking Tom A. End Of Story!
You're drunk dude
Jon gives away the real reasons he doesn't want the Aspinall every now and then , and he did it here too when he talked about Tom being 7 years younger and 30lbs heavier and then he mentioned Alex being the same age and weight approximately
Since JBJ is taking a break
We need to see Gane vs Aspinal 1st.
Brilliant idea.
I’ve been saying this. Since Stipe retired do Tom vs Gane and see what happens
Gane turned it down already, and Toms already got a title defence, if he's taking a break, step away from the belt and let the rest of the heavyweights fight.
Terrible idea honestly
Thats stupid gane won't fight tom he ducked him 2 times already and gane us fighting volkov in December so that wouldn't even work
*”He changes nothing if i beat him”* - he is so WRONG and is either completely out of touch or being willfully obtuse.
And Tom has picked up some experience now too, made some tweaks, and I think that worries Jon too.
really? glass chin 40 y/o Arlovski, and never contended Volkov?
Tom has demolished everyone in front of him, and ducked nobody
he will never fight jon jones......
You mean Jon will never fight him.
If he wants to fight again in the ufc..it will be Aspinall. Unless Dana is a liar…
Jones is going to do a Macgregor.
That's it.
He wants the belt... he doesn't care about JJ. Just STFU and do your research
Ridiculous takes. Your GOAT is holding up a division and wants to duck the next in-line to hold up a 2nd division instead.
The UFC seem confident they can make the fight so let's see if Jones still ducks when they finally offer him his F U Money.
@@MNToThathe’s not holding up shit. For 1 Tom has beaten virtually no one. He hasn’t even beaten Gane at this point. Make him fight Gane if Gane wins his next fight.
You people just want Jon to lose. When he agreed to fight Stipe Tom was a nobody. During Jon’s injury Tom became a somebody by beating Sergei and Blaydes.
Now all of a sudden Jon is ducking him ? You all said Jon was picking on old guys when he fought Stipe but there is a bigger age difference between Jon and Tom than Jon and Stipe. Talking out of both sides of your mouth.
@twogsisme lol Quack Quack
What Champ refuses to fight the number 1 contender..?? He flat out refuses.
Let's hope the UFC offer him his F U Money and we can see if he comes up with a new excuse not to do it.
Aspinall seemed quite confident that the UFC are intent on meeting his demands so everyone's a winner. Pay Jones what he wants and let's see the best possible fight to make. (*excluding Ngannau)
REAL Champs/GOATS Fight who they put in front of you....especially if they are CHAMPION OF THE SAME DIVISION!
Americans did the same thing to KHABIB. Calling him afraid to come back; 29-0 just isn’t enough; they have to see a man lose just once. Poor Stipe, has to serve as the example of how Americans treat you once you lose, then you head off into the sunset to enjoy retirement.
Most if us would have no issue with Jon retiring undefeated. But to talk the way he does and call himself the best but then refuse to face active fighters who also want to call themselves the best, it just shows Jon as the narcissist that he is. If you are the best and you are active, then shut up and fight.
Khabib retired on the very same day he fought a top contender and dominated him, then gave his friend a chance at building a legacy and arguably helped create the most wellrounded lightweight of all time.
He is not holding up divisions and injuring pregnant ladies.
@@ecoadam
I want nothing more than for Jon to retire, cannot be the only person to feel like that. All he has done in about 5 years is deadlift in a basement, beat the non-wrestlef the division and fight a retired Stipe who already lost his last fight to the man Jon was ducking.
Meanwhile Tom has been knocking out top contenders in a single round.

This is all facts. Islam already has a better resume than Khabib after beating Oliveira and if he beats Arman again it is undeniable.
Also; Tibau beat Khabib, more significant strikes, defended all takedowns and scored one takedown.

He has the right to move on. But to keep the belt hostage for so long while the other guy is for all intents and purposes an uncrowned champion is not cool
@BrdOutaMyMnd I didn't say that I knew he would beat gane and I knew he would murder an old stipe that looked even slower than Tyson. I'm certainly not a new fan 😆. I never miss the ufc where it be a fight night or ppv and I don't catch highlights type into RUclips jones explaining ganes weaknesses before the fight he legit tells him why he is picking him. A new fan would have no idea who Gane is lol. I'm telling you now before it happens Jones would absolutely kill perreria in 1 round 2 max.
@maxhoward9172 100% true if he knows he can't beat Aspinall but why should he be able to he is in his twilight years. Let the strap go and fight the easy fights
I think it will help Jon's legacy if he beats Tom because Tom is younger bigger and really good if an older guy who's known as the best beats the young up and coming then that actually seals and confirms his greatness more than beating and old guys who hadn't faught in 3 years
Jones can beat him
I'm a Jones hater but I agree. It's a very competitive bout and if he beats Aspinall, I'll admit that the GOAT debate is over for good.

If he defends against the int. He doesnt owe the fans anything. Thats the only one who poses a challenge to the "undesputed"
Everybody’s mad at John Jones, but think of Khabib literally had many more challenges he could’ve taken on. He never even moved up a weight class and nobody even mentions him. At least John Jones came back.
Pimblett proves he went to school in Liverpool when he says „Jones is the GOAT: best of all time.“ Spelling not your strength, Paddy.
Precision kill speed we seen that in the Jose Aldo fight against Conor McGregor.
Jon is the smartest MMA fighter in the world, Tom has 1 thing over Jon and it’s boxing, Jon is better on the ground overall and his kick boxing is superior. Jon has always showed us he makes sure someone can’t use their greatest strength.
Jon Jones and Tom Aspinsall the most polite monsters in the world.
Tom talking about massive pressure cracks me up. He’s fought for the interim belt twice. Jon has been in 18 title fights/main events and won them all. Jon has been in more title fights already than Tom will ever be. Tom may beat Jon but Jon will still be the goat.
