Jon wants to fight dangerous, established champions? Like a guy who knocks everyone out in the first round and has defended the Heavyweight Interim Title?
Beating pereira would mean he beat 2 double champs in his career, that’s a way bigger deal than beating Aspinal despite him being the harder opponent. IMO he should try to fight Aspinal early next year, if he wins and Alex wins against Ank, then push for the Pereira fight to retire. But I doubt he fights Aspinal, he’ll either fight Alex or retire which sucks
@@Solznmidthe double champ shit does not matter when theres factually a more difficult fight within the division. yes the dc wins were great but an aspinall win would be much better than a pereira win
The bias against Jon Jones is blatantly clear. Jon wants to walk away from the sport with a win, what’s wrong with that? Nothing. There’s nothing wrong with an older fighter picking their battles. When our favorite fighters fight past their prime, we wish they’d retire or walk away after 1 or 2 more fights. Not Jon Jones😂 He’s an awful person outside of the octagon so he needs to keep fighting until he’s loses badly, that way he’s a gay, wife beating, cheater, who isn’t undefeated… I get it, I do, from a subjective standpoint. Objectively speaking, Jon Jones is the heavyweight champion, he’s defended his belt against a former champion in Stipe Miocic, and he’s fulfilled his promise to fans: That he’d move up to heavyweight and win. Jon doesn’t owe us shit😂
If Jon won’t budge, and absolutely refuses to fight the interim champion, the UFC should strip him and do Aspinall vs Periera for the undisputed heavyweight title. Give Tom the fight Jon was begging for, and Alex the chance to make history. I think that would be the happiest ending to this story.
I don't even like Jon and would hope Aspinall knocks him out, but even I have more faith in Jon than he does in himself😂 if Jon got his cardio up and implemented a wrestle heavy gameplan, he could maybe beat Tom. Big Maybe, but still.

@@The716_ boxing is rigged as hell, and the ufc has been getting more and more rigged ever since betting online on these fights has become popular. there have been an increased number of obvious robberies in the ufc in recent years, as well as refs picking and choosing which fighters to enforce rules for. it's all so blatantly obvious it surprises me how few mma fans have noticed. they just think all the judges and refs are idiots that don't know what they're doing, but they know exactly what they're doing.
Look at all other sports, basketball, soccer, hockey, etc... the GOATS of those sports are decided by fans perception. Jon Jones is truly a manufactured GOAT of mma. Has the NBA ever made an hour long video titled "Why Jordan is the greatest basketball player ever"? Even if Jon is the greatest, the sport campaigning it and pushing it on the fans is counteractive. And oh yeah he lost to Reyes
People are being brainwashed into thinking numbers equal greatness. Jon did have many great wins. On paper his record is the best. But he also had some very unimpressive wins. There's the failed drug tests. He very arguably lost to Reyes. Towards the later stage of his career he started doing what Adesanya did, fighting strictly to not lose, instead of definitively trying to win, which became tedious point fighting and stalling as much as possible. But for Jon, his latest statements towards Aspinall have really dug the grave for his already questionable legacy. It is so apparent he is afraid of losing. That is not a mark of the greatest. There's no bravery and courage in picking a fight you really think you're going to win. Strip him and move the division forward. He can retire and keep his ego protected on his own time.

@janecaulfield7678 Yes. He needs to give up the belt immediately. Tom needs to fight Cyril. So that way he can fight Alex. If Tom beats Cyril he would have cleared the division.
@LWT80 Umm did you even watch it. Jon is still champ. He needs to give up the belt. He is holding onto it in case he fights Alex so it's champ vs champ

Jon's personality completely ruined any potential positive PR he could've gained from this win. Any sense of accomplishment, athletic ability and fighting acumen that might make people more of a fan is predominantly overshadowed by his haughty high school mean girl facade.
Jones is old news, he made it to the top fighting old guys (average 11 years older), cheating and choosing weak opponents. Force retire him and give the the champion the Belt (Aspinall) so he can fight guys who want to fight!! Get rid of this old useless thing.

@@ak2five282 6 years older than him on average isn’t really crazy considering he entered the ufc at 20 and won the championship at 23. That’s like saying Raul Rosas jr only fights guys 10 years older than him

@@kasimahmed8858 I came up with a good theory. Dana initially was glazing Jones because he wanted him to beat Stipe since Ngannou beat Stipe (HW Goat) and left to PFL, now we can't be having the HW goat in another promotion so we need someone else to beat Stipe. Dana now realized that Tom is also a big star and has massive potential and an easy path to becoming the HW Goat. That is Jones vs Aspinall, regardless of the outcome of this fight it would mean that the definite HW goat is in the UFC and nothing Ngannou does in the PFL will out do this. Jones retiring means that it will be more difficult for Aspinall to be called the HW Goat as he needs to be more HW Contenders and also there is not much competition rn. Dana also opposes the Pereira vs Jones fight so much because Jones would just beat Pereira and retire and that doesn't help HW goat status at all, and UFC would be having their biggest star (Alex) lose. If Alex beats Jones then that also does nothing because that doesn't do anything for HW Goat status either. That is why Tom vs Jones is the easiest way to overshadow Ngannou's career and potential HW goat status.
Fair point about Francis, I hadn't thought of that but makes a lot of sense. Yeah that all makes sense lol good theory I don't see why both can't have some truth. About the future of the division Dana has had harsh words for Francis and said Jon Vs Tom WILL be the biggest heavyweight fight ever. It's a bit like if Alex or ilia left rn to go to bellator or pfl. Dana's business priority would be to make sure the top of the top of those respective divisions is considered better than they the guys that left. My main reasoning behind thinking Dana wants tom to win is the future of the division. He was pissed at gsp for coming back and then not defending the belt that he won again. But I suppose overall, for Dana and co, it's more important that the top of the heavyweight division is considered better than Francis, that it would be important to set up the future of the division. Both matters but being clearly better than your promotion/business competition matters much more. Maybe especially since it's the the heavyweight division?@@y2jayden
@@kasimahmed8858oh yeah I think I misread your point because you said Dana wants Tom to beat Jones and take that spot when really I think he just wants that fight to be made. Because he knows Ngannou left as the champ and will most likely go undefeated in the PFL which although he is beating bums, people will question if he could’ve been the HW Goat. So it’s basically a race between Ngannou and the UFC. And yeah I agree especially because it’s the heavyweight division because tbh it isn’t as hard to create a HW Goat out of either Jones or Tom right now since both would probably wipe the entire HW Rankings and easier to surpass Stipe. Whereas back then in HW they didn’t have fighters on the caliber of Aspinall, and instead had fighters who could KO everyone and get KO’d by everyone in the HW division.
I don’t understand why Jon thinks if he chokes out periera almost immediately everyone is going to be hyped on that. They weren’t even hyped on him beating stipe, hes blind to his own ego.
Casual fans (actual casual fans not what MMA fans call casuals) just know Alex is a good fighter and Jones beating him will make them go crazy. And I'm reality there are more casual fans than hardcore who follow the sport. They pay the ppv price and will watch it.
When Aspinall becomes HW champion Dana will make Aspinall vs Ngannou happen. He KNOWS Tom is the only chance he has to win against Francis and thats why he let this all play out. He KNOWS Tom will become HW champ, either Jones fights Tom (which Dana KNOWS he wont) or he gets stripped of the title. Dana wants to establish the dominance of the UFC and by PFL and UFC putting their biggest boys against each other it would be the perfect double hit for Dana. We all know Francis would KILL Jon. But Tom? In MMA? I'mma bet on Tom... 2025 it will happen!
The whole carla sendoff and then the karate hottie sendoff, it was like 30 min and they 🗑 . Disgusts me honestly. I changed the channel purposely and went to the bathroom
At one point, during the Ngannou negotiations, Dana just blurted out “ Jon Jones, by the way, has ALWAYS wanted Ngannou fight “ This is toward the end of talks and Dana, as soon as he realised that this deal was dead in the water, he immediately slips into “glaze Jones” Mode. The baddest man on the planet was just about to walk out of the UFC with the HW belt. The king is dead - long live the king.

@@SolznmidAlex is not going to beat Ankalaev
@@Solznmidthe double champ shit does not matter when theres factually a more difficult fight within the division. yes the dc wins were great but an aspinall win would be much better than a pereira win
The bias against Jon Jones is blatantly clear.
Jon wants to walk away from the sport with a win, what’s wrong with that? Nothing. There’s nothing wrong with an older fighter picking their battles. When our favorite fighters fight past their prime, we wish they’d retire or walk away after 1 or 2 more fights.
Not Jon Jones😂 He’s an awful person outside of the octagon so he needs to keep fighting until he’s loses badly, that way he’s a gay, wife beating, cheater, who isn’t undefeated…
I get it, I do, from a subjective standpoint.
Objectively speaking, Jon Jones is the heavyweight champion, he’s defended his belt against a former champion in Stipe Miocic, and he’s fulfilled his promise to fans: That he’d move up to heavyweight and win.
Jon doesn’t owe us shit😂
@@Devdogshe probably will, jon should fight tom tho
If Jon won’t budge, and absolutely refuses to fight the interim champion, the UFC should strip him and do Aspinall vs Periera for the undisputed heavyweight title. Give Tom the fight Jon was begging for, and Alex the chance to make history. I think that would be the happiest ending to this story.
That would be hilarious, and tom easily beats pereira lets be real here.

@@DaLeprechaunclose fights aren’t robberies, how’s dom doing now?

P.s. John isn't dumb either, he was sandbagging against stipe to keep a trick up his sleeve for when he fights tom. His ego is too big to not want to fight tom.
Yeah that all makes sense lol good theory
I don't see why both can't have some truth. About the future of the division
Dana has had harsh words for Francis and said Jon Vs Tom WILL be the biggest heavyweight fight ever.
I don't think Jones has realised that White has already found his replacement
I don’t understand why Jon thinks if he chokes out periera almost immediately everyone is going to be hyped on that. They weren’t even hyped on him beating stipe, hes blind to his own ego.

I truly feel when jon said he would give us what we want he meant he would fight Pereira thinking that's what we would want rather than aspinall. He didn't even say aspinall name for a reason
He's a narcissist. He convinced himself that's the big fight and everyone wants it. Delusion
You had me loling when you said “fuck it, call his bluff and make him the back up for jon vs Alex” 😂😂
I can't wait to hear Dana say something along the lines of "jon jones was never my friend" or "this guy just didn't want to fight"😭👍
Oh it's gonna happen. We know the routine 😂
15:15 we jump Pereira as a crew
Man the way you say money like “munayeh” is a madness!! 😂😂😂😂😂
HES BACK
Who is?
Gay pic these the mma fans we have now? Pff
@@Howsnoah5Okay Noah you’re getting mad over a RUclips profile picture
Such a great champ guys, the goat infact ! Greatest Of Avoiding Tom
Loool that outro about DC is hilarious 😂😂
If Jon wants the Alex fight, it should be at Middleweight. Since Jons entire legacy has been fighting Middleweights and old guys.
In my eyes, if he doesnt fight Aspinall, he has zero chance to be GOAT in my eyes, he can keep the Light heavyweight GOAT title, they're all shit anyway.
Well said. That's how I view the situation too. He can be LHW goat but never will be GOAT of the sport.
Calls LHW trash but you probably still glaze Reyes and Gus cause they “beat” Jones😂
@@sonnysad905 That makes literally no sense, use your brain sometimes please.
@@ttig4044 yeah sorry I been watching since 2011 and seen a plethora of hype trains from all divisions get gassed to the moon just to go on losing streaks and forgotten. Stop it lol Tom is flavor of the week just like Reyes was. Literally the only time people bring up Gus and Reyes is to shit on Jones. You probably thought Pavlovich was gonna be Jones toughest test. Sorry I’m using my brain to NOT DO BACKFLIPS on any new hype train that can “beat” jones 🫵😂
@@sonnysad905 bro I didn't think anything you said here, Reyes wasnt even that hyped up, he wasnt just destroying everyone, so the fact that he basically beat Jones is embarrassing. And thats in his own weight class. And why the fuck are you talking about Pavlovich and Jones for, you do realise Aspinall ran through Pavolvich in less than a round right? If you watched that last fight and you think Aspinall doesnt absolutely run through Jones, I'm sorry, but you're an MMA casual.
