- This is such an AMAZING STORY. This home currently has no one living in it but is a livable home. the yard is way overgrown so we attempted to talk to the neighbor. Come to find out the neighbors house is also owned by the same person. She told us she would be so thankful if we got this yard back into shape so her friend could potentially move in and be closer to her since her husband is ill. In my state it is illegal to even cut towards the road. Thanks for helping this person out. I wouldn’t think you’d be expected to cut the whole back forty. That calls for a bush hog! Name the turtle Clog. He kinda has that shape. 😊 I love the small house across the road!

Nice job so far. I'll be watching Part 2 next. A little FYI about box turtles: Whether it is legal or illegal to keep as a pet depends on the state. In Arizona, they are legal. Here in Mississippi, you can keep them as pets if you keep a hunting & fishing license. Pets should come from a breeder or rescue only. It is never a good thing to take them from the wild, unless they have been injured. If that happens, take it to a wildlife vet or rehab center. Box turtles must be released in the same place they were found as they have a small home range- usually less than a mile around. If they are released somewhere other than their home, they become vagabonds and will wander aimlessly looking for their home range. Therefore, rescues here will adopt them out if their home range is unknown.

Great transformation to this front yard. You were not only a blessing to the lady across the street but also to the person moving into the home. What a beautiful Brick house. It is a shame that the property got so overgrown to where you couldn't appreciate the home. Finding the Box Turtle was a nice ending after fighting the Fire Ants and getting your lawnmower stuck. Looking forward to part 2.

I have found some new boys to follow on the lawn mowing circuit. You and your boys are truly amazing. You work together as a team which is so hard to find anymore. First of all I love seeing your boys working with you. I hope your other boy's arm heals well. I have to say that I am amazed at how well your mower cuts grass this tall. Of course, you have to make a few passes, but it really makes the yard look great. I watch a lot of videos of people who mow tall grass like you do. They have very big and very nice mowers but sometimes it takes them a long time to repeatedly mow the grass over and over to get it as nice as your mower does in just a few passes. It says a lot about a Toro mower. Sharp blades help too!

We lived in Fayetteville for 6 years and loved our life and church there. 8 years ago, a friend and I made a swing through to visit Biltmore House then swing up through the Eastern Shore of Virginia on our way to hear another friend's organ recital at the National Cathedral. We stayed in Hickory. I have never forgotten the beauty of NC and my wonderful landscape and gardens there. So easy to create beauty! Love those large hardwood trees and the gorgeous crepe myrtles. Fond memories♥

That's a very nice-looking place and better now that you 3 cleaned and mowed this yard. Looks like ma and pa used to sit on the porch watching the grass grow.
