I didn't get a good look at the PSU the cable was too short on, but it looked like it might've been one of the PSUs that has a 4-pin connector that sits to the side of the 20-pin connector and the 2 connectors together plug in to the 24-pin connector on the motherboard. This is because older motherboards use a 20-pin connector and the newer 24-pin connector only differs by having 4 pins added on one end.
I live in america and most of these PCs even the i3 systems, nobody wants to buy them (locally). even for $20-30 with full windows installed it takes 3-5 weeks to sell sometimes. Maybe in austria its a different situation but I stopped dealing with old i3-i5-i7 systems a while ago. Most people rather buy a brand new laptop for $400 than used pc-monitor for $50-100. 1 day shipping on amazon and everyone is spoiled
Last year I was selling a similar system. $30 for 4th gen pentium with 8gb ram and 320/500gb hard drive. with monitor/keyboard/and cables. Waited 2 weeks, nobody wanted to buy it, so I just gave it away for free (still took a day to find someone). But like I said maybe in austria its a bit different. Still though 8 computers its fun to tinker with for parts. Maybe try hackintosh with latest macos for intel?
Yeah I heard that things in America are different when it comes to prices. I think it probably comes down to just a lot more devices being around. But those old PCs also don't sell fast in Austria as well. I often sell older tech to neighbouring countries (Hungary, Slovakia, Czechia, etc.), there is still demand for those since a lot of people aren't that wealthy there.
here in ireland, 3rd gen systems go from 100-200 euro depending on if its i3, i5 or i7. this is due to supply and demand. much less supply in ireland, id imagine the same in other european countries

amazing !
That was a great deal and they will work better with the maximum amount of ram., installed and an SSD., with a Linux OS., installed.
Yeah, it was a great deal. I installed SSDs in the newer ones.
