    She can obviously sing, but Amy was effortless. From the clip scenes I've seen, I think it sounds strained. They either needed to dub Amy's voice in, cast someone else, or dub in a singer. Audrey Hepburn's singing was dubbed in My Fair Lady (many, many older musicals have ghost singers.)

    • @Astoldbysomeginger
      @Astoldbysomeginger Месяц назад +2

      She’s not straining. She’s just singing with a straight tone while Amy utilizes more vibratto. Marisa has more of a pop sound while Amy’s was more jazz.

    If you had dubbed Amy’s voice in… a disconnect emotionally..? Sorry, that’s bogus. How do you think people connected with her emotionally??… I strongly disagree and still feel they should have let Amy do her own music. No disrespect to the actress.

    • @ree3197
      @ree3197 Месяц назад +6

      Exactly, any hope of getting immersed is ruined by her voice
      And the fact she blames it on "not having Amy's exact voice".. compared to just not being a good singer who started singing 3 months prior to production.. how disrespectful!?
      She's very narcissistic in all her interviews.. wrongfully confident!

    • @D__03
      @D__03 Месяц назад +1

      I don’t think you understand what she’s trying to say… it wouldn’t be as authentic a performance if the actress was just lip syncing to Amy. If she sings the words herself she is connecting to it more.

    • @Thomas11611
      @Thomas11611 Месяц назад +1

      @@D__03 No, I understood that, but that’s part of an actors job, which is to connect to said parts emotionally. I guarantee if they actually tried it out, it would have worked. JLo did it with Selena… Bohemian Rhapsody they used Freddy’s voice. It sounds like they wanted to do a budget cut more than anything. I’m just saying, it should have been Amy’s voice. This would have been a chance to reintroduce her music to a newer generation of peeps. That’s all I can say. Play the artist, but let them sing their own music.

    • @Astoldbysomeginger

    I I don't think Amy would approve of someone trying to imitate someone else's voice even if it's in order to "capture the emotion". Really? How can you say her voice is irreplaceable and at the same try to find that same emotion in someone else's voice? Is that even possible? You imagine someone trying to sing like Janis Joplin for a film, for example? It would as awful. Sorry but acting has its limits.

    Dieser Film wirkt wie eine billige Telenovela, die sich einzig um einen Aspekt von Amys Leben dreht- ihre Liebe zu Blake Fielder-Civil.
    Von einem Musikerbiopic erwarte ich jedoch, dass er mir die Entwicklung der Künstlers und ihrer Musik erzählt. Amy Winehouse war witzig, hochintelligent, brutal ehrlich und gerade in frühen Jahren eine selbstbewußte junge Frau, die ihren eigenen Style und Musikstil entwickelte. Mit Back to Black erreichte sie den Ruhm, den sie nie wollte, und der u.a. später auch für ihren Tod verantwortlich war. Als Fan sah man entsetzt, wie ihre Bulimie, die Presse, ihre Drogen- und Alkoholsucht und ein Umfeld, dass sie nicht beschützte, sondern weiter ausbeutete (Mitch, ihr Vater, Raye Cosbert, ihr Manager, Blake Fielder-Civil, ihr (Ex)-Ehemann), sie in den Tod trieben.
    Amy Winehouse besaß eine komplizierte Persönlichkeit, dem der Film nicht gerecht wird. Hier wird Amy als selbstbezogene und aggressive Frau gezeigt, die bei mir keinerlei Sympathie hervorruf. Alle Figuren spielen extrem eindimensional, die meisten haben noch nicht mal äußerlich Ähnlichkeiten mit den lebenden Personen. Außer Mitch Winehouse, der im Film, anders als im wahren Leben, hier immer an ihrer Seite ist. Marisa versucht wirklich, das Beste aus der Rolle zu machen, aber zu keinem Zeitpunkt, nahm ich ihr Amy ab. Auch ihre Gesangsleistung ist passabel, es ist gut, dass Amys Musik nicht verwendet wurde, es wäre ein Sakrileg gewesen. Wichtige Stationen von Amys Lebens werden einfach weggelassen (die Aufnahmen mit Mark Ronson in New York von Back to Black- immerhin der Titel der Films) oder die Dap-Kings (ihre Begleitband in den USA). Als sie die Grammys erhält, werden in ihrer Dankesrede einfach ihre Worte: für meinen Blake, der im Knast sitzt, weggelassen.
    Und so geht es weiter, es wird verdreht, Zeiten geändert, wichtige Ereignisse falsch dargestellt, z.B. brachte nicht Blake sie zu den Girlgroups, sondern Amy entdeckte sie von sich aus, ebenso der ikonische Beehive, der von ihr kam, und nicht, wie im Film dargestellt, von ihrer Großmutter Cynthia. Blakes Verhaftung fand in einer anderen Wohnung statt usw. Dazu kommen noch die unzähligen Fehler in der Kleidung und den Schuhen, es wirkt einfach alles billig.
    Die größte Frechheit findet am Ende des Films statt: Amy hatte Back to Black über Blake geschrieben, als er sie verließ und sie in eine Depression rutschte. Hier wird es so dargestellt, als ob der Song mit dem Tod ihrer Großmutter zu tun hatte! Der ganze Film zeigt, wie wenig Achtung oder Ahnung die Produzenten von Amy und ihrer Musik haben.
